  1. A review of the "voter suppression" in Mississippi yesterday. - Hinds County itself is required to provide ballots that amount to a minimum of 60% of the active voter count. - Reportedly 9 of 107 precincts ran out of ballots. One as early as 8:30 am. - It was reported by a Hinds County Election Commissioner that the shortage was because voter turnout was "unexpectedly high". - Actual voter turnout in Hinds County was 38%. Well below 60%. No precinct got to 60%, in fact only one got to 50%. - All 107 precincts were allowed to stay open an extra 2 hours. https://www.co.hinds.ms.us/pgs/results/Unofficial Election Results.pdf https://www.co.hinds.ms.us/pgs/results/Unoffical Precinct Report.pdf
  2. I've posted this before, but Reeves is very unpopular with many Republicans in MS. He's made a lot of enemies along the way. Phil Bryant won Gov in 2011 and 2015 by 20-30%. Yesterday, Lt Gov, SOS, AG, Treasurer, etc. all won in MS by ~20%. Meanwhile, Tate won by 5%.
  3. It wasn't voter suppression. The county (which is 75% black and run by democrats) is 100% responsible for the ballots, toner, etc. They have election commissioners that literally have one job. https://mississippitoday.org/2023/11/07/hinds-county-ballot-shortages-causes-legal-mess-on-election-day/
  4. You’re not wrong that some ancestral Southern Dems still existed. And you’re not wrong about the original purpose of the law. But it hasn’t affected a single race besides the 1999 one, and despite Musgrave being “pretty conservative”, he absolutely was the preferred choice of the left and the vast majority of black voters. Unless you are arguing that they preferred Parker and the 1999 race screwed over the black voters? Tate Reeves is certainly in trouble. He’s been running scared for the past month. But the reason being isnt due to this law being changed. The law has never stopped a left leaning candidate from winning an election. And was repealed 80-20 on the same ballot that Trump won by 16 points.
  5. Lol. The one time it happened was 1999.
  6. From the article above, it's only happened once and that one time they selected the Democrat.
  7. Waters has been an anti semite for years. This is not surprising. https://apnews.com/article/us-germany-roger-waters-antisemitism-3aa8d1dadf8d633f2c3274a6a8f9ef6f
  8. The biggest concern with Ohtani is this is his second TJ. The recovery odds go way down. Obviously he can still be a HOF level hitter but if you’re paying half a billion, you’re expecting a two way player. I wonder if he could transition to a closer in the next part of his career and cut down on innings.
  9. All jokes aside, you may be onto something. The AI may have actually added that 6th finger due to likely inbreeding.
  10. That kid has 6 fingers lol.
  11. That's true, yet... No pity party here
  12. Took 35 posts for someone to post the most obvious answer?
  13. Shit smith could’ve done that.
  14. Lawlar hasn’t done anything as a pro but who would've ever guessed he’d make the show before Leiter?
  15. Probably. Somehow jam bands always get played during the WS. Dead, Panic, Phish…
  16. We will win this one but we are letting their bats warm up for tomorrow.
