  1. I would think most non-Biden scenarios begin with him being coerced not to run.
  2. "At the current time, approximately 10 percent of patients admitted to LAC+USC Medical Center with a positive COVID test are admitted due to illness caused by COVID," the county said. "In contrast to our peak during the winter of 2020, when we had 285 COVID+ patients in the hospital, 120 of whom were in the ICU, we currently have approximately 30 COVID+ patients in the hospital, of whom 3 were admitted for COVID, none of whom are in the ICU." https://www.foxnews.com/us/la-county-covid-hospitalizations-health-reinstates-mask-mandate?intcmp=tw_fnc
  3. Surprised to see another HS kid taken. I figured we'd be looking at money savers the next 5 rounds.
  4. Back in the day, we used to call this a Mini Me.
  5. End of quote. Repeat the line.
  6. Actually it's no fever and improving symptoms.
  7. Probably unpopular opinion on the Surly, but go! If you feel like you can't go to a wedding 7 DAYS AFTER the CDC says you are clear to return to society, WTF are we even doing? I'm sure there will be attendees there with full blown Covid, many who probably have no idea.
  8. IMO, best Norton performance was 25th hour. Sucked me in. I felt like I was that character for 2 hours. Shockingly that film came right before Italian Job, which I agree, was a total mail in.
  9. When I say this, I'm not talking about OG Covid. Or unvaccinated, elderly or obese people with asthma, etc. I'm talking about you average healthy individual under 60. People say it sucks, but colds and the flu have always "sucked" (you don't feel like yourself for a few days) but we never stressed out about avoiding those. For a number of people I know, getting it was the best thing that ever happened to them. It got them out of this stressful shell they'd been living in. You realize you're going to be just fine.
  10. Those of you still hiding from it, just go ahead and get it (unless you are high risk). Sure, getting sick sucks (and it doesn't even suck for everyone), but it's better than months and months of stress over avoiding it. And if you have kids, summer is the best time to have you world turned upside down for a week or two.
  11. Given as little as he pitched this year, it wasn't a surprise to anyone who followed. That said, he entered the portal and committed within about an hour. Arkansas' team ERA was 16th in the country and the bullpen was the strength of the team. For whatever reason, he just wasn't used or trusted this season. Still a good add with nothing but upside.
  12. Kid showed lots of potential in 2021 and was expected to be a major part of the pen this year at Arkansas. Not sure what happened.
  13. You may realize this, but the photo you quoted is not from yesterday's game. Yesterday's was much less egregious. Still the right call by the book, but when the runners lane doesn't take you straight to the base, its worth looking into remedies going forward.
  14. Again, the days of the week changed, but not the days rest. In years past, teams either had one or two days off before the championship series began (depending on whether you lost a game or were unblemished). Same as this year. Yeah. Its happened many times (having to throw a guy on 3 days rest in the final game of the season). Had Texas beat MSU a second time last year, Stevens would've absolutely pitched again in the championship series had it gone 3 games.
  15. Yeah, they shortened bracket really only hurt the teams in bracket 2. Bracket 1 had basically the same schedule as always. In bracket 2, Arkansas & Auburn did not get a day of rest after losing and winning on Monday, whereas TAM and ND had day of rest after winning and losing on Sunday. All four then played on Tuesday, rather than separate days. Arkansas ended up playing four days in a row Mon-Thurs (not the cause of losing on Thursday as pitching was great). But, at this point, it's no different than years past. For example, Texas won on Friday last year and forced MSU to play on Saturday, and the championship series began on Monday. MSU had to use Will Bednar to beat Texas that Saturday, then he wasn't able to pitch again until Wednesday on 3 days rest.
  16. Ole Miss was a 3 seed.
  17. Avatar checks out...
  18. Probably more to it but think they dropped it due to Title IX. Chose soccer over baseball, I believe. If DBU can be good, SMU could’ve been good.
