  1. I like watching Texas win. I like watching Texas in the playoffs. And I want to watch Texas win a national title. Everything else is meaningless to me. All strategic thought by the AD should be placed into those goals.
  2. It made sense to schedule those games while in an inferior conference with a 4 team playoff format. There was immense benefit to be won from the risk of that game. We're in the opposite situation now. In the best conference with a 12 (soon to be 16) team playoff and more potential games. I'm not saying to schedule an FCS team. I'm saying don't schedule a national title contender. Schedule a Wake Forest or Rutgers or Colorado.
  3. It's definitely an unnecessary risk, and all the goobers here wanting tough early season OOC games will be the first to whine and want to fire the coach when they miss the playoffs. Sark is building deep teams, but this is still more games to win a title than before. The team was beaten down last season after the OSU game, and that was with a relatively easy SEC schedule. That extra OOC game against a top opponent when you already play in the toughest conference will just wear them down even more than necessary heading down the stretch of conference and into the playoffs. I'd rather play OSU in the playoffs (minus the choking goober QB) than in game 1 or 2 of the season. It's just good strategy.
  4. It's biology. Evolution is based on survival of the fittest ensuring the dominant genes are passed down through generations for enhanced chance of species survival. Humans developed through this method of natural selection the same as all animals. Therefore there's a natural competition instinct spurred on by natural selection inherent in the minds of all humans. It's instinct that allowed for the survival of humans until the modern industrial era where the circumstances changed and it's no longer needed for survival. It has now become the main detriment to the human race survival, but because technology far outpaces evolution it still lingers and is causing our downfall. At this point we would need technological control over genetic code that controls the natural selection competition instincts to edit it out of the human race in order to truly realize our potential as a species. I believe at that point we would cease to be human, but we'd have been technologically evolved into a species more adapted to our current environment. TLDR: We are a species trying to run a modern operating system on 30 year old hardware.
  5. Maybe start communicating with Democrats in Congress that millions of Americans were ready to fight tyranny on June 14th and they need to get the message and start becoming a very vocal opposition force. Call out the media for not covering this regime truthfully. Call out all of the trump unconstitutional bullshit. Look to muck it up for Republicans at every possible opportunity. But it needs to be very visible and very vocal. Be the leadership this country can rally behind. Stop treating this like politics and start fighting for the American people. Democrat politicians have just come off so fake, cowardly, and regimented in the face of this attack on our way of life and government. Because in the end this country will need people to vote for to get these fascists out. And people to fight tooth and nail to make sure we get that opportunity to vote fairly.
  6. The McKinney was one larger than I thought it would be. Everything was good, one redneck teen was walking around carrying a confederate flag but people just ignored him mainly.
  7. That day in the Cotton Bowl was one of the best memories though. Came completely out of nowhere.
  8. He never should have been the QB at Texas. Or anywhere really, he was a TE prospect all the way that got misused. But that wasn't his fault, he played his career for the guy who found a way to lose a coin toss he won.
  9. Or they're all SEC schools except Wisconsin who plays Alabama in non conference and both OSU and Oregon. This is also why I'm mostly in favor of dropping the big name OOC game, or at least only doing it once every 3 or 4 years or so. Our SEC schedule will be tough enough to clear strength of schedule questions, and we could use 4 games to play the freshman and backups while keeping the main rotation fresher for conference.
  10. "Burnt eggs, upper deckers, and giving your QB CTE. How Tom Herman rebuilt Texas Football"
  11. Certain Americans just eat up a bullshit "underdog" story about a white kid with rich parents getting ahead in life.
  12. I would suggest a face mask and long sleeves shirt. Try to keep face scanning technology from identifying you there. The fascists are looking for ways to quickly target dissenters if they gain more control and the crackdown really starts. Your company could be "instructed" to fire you by the government down the line just for being involved if you're identified.
  13. That's the guy that got fired from On3 I'm assuming. Looks like he tried to Ponzi Tennessee players while covering them for On3
  14. Stopped listening in 2023. I can see I haven't missed anything
  15. At least DCTF waited to put our coach on the cover again after he made a couple of playoff semifinals appearances. Although no one but the die hards here remember that nonsense from 2017.
  16. Hadn't clicked on this thread since 2024 and just skimmed what's been here in the last year. This is sad. Has the station become this shitty and boring as you make it seem here?
  17. Has there been any more info on the house settlement and how that will or won't screw up our ability to out talent 99.5% of CFB? I saw a ticker scroll the other day saying it had been completed or accepted by the judge but haven't heard anything since.
  18. The next thing they do as a party in opposition to the overthrow of American democracy by a tyrant will be the first. Millions of Americans will take to the street this Saturday to oppose a tyrant and the political leadership just sits on their hands and looks the other way. Without leadership this is doomed.
  19. No worries. It's a bad time for everyone right now. Only the magas don't realize it yet.
  20. Depends on how much it's allowed to grow. Right now? Not much. If this continues? I think we all know where it heads.
  21. You're completely wrong. I don't have anything against Muslims as people. I hate that they propagated anti democrat rhetoric in their communities and influenced the election in Michigan and Pennsylvania. All because they believed the lies of a proven liar and convicted criminal. A man who instituted a Muslim ban in his first term. Pure stupidity. I called out Latinos, especially ones in my family, for the same thing. Voting for people who actively speak and act towards subjugation of them. Same for Christians. Supporting this administration is pure hypocrisy. Goes against everything their religion pretends to represent and believe. You can go ahead and get emotional about it all, but it doesn't make you correct. Just makes you appear emotionally unstable and unable to grasp nuance.
  22. Start doing a hell of a lot more like he just did over the last couple of days. Call out trump and republican corruption. But not in an intellectual way. In a visceral way. Tell Americans everything they're losing. Make them fear the future under the dictator. Would have to start coordinating with other Democrats to form a resistance force. To leverage all of the hatred and fear in these No Kings rallies. Tap in to the growing desperation as the economy craters and more and more people lose their jobs. Make sure trump and republicans wear their failures and oppression. A lot of the work needs to start in the shadows. Maybe it's going on now, but knowing the history of Democrats I severely doubt it. Most likely they'll pretend this is politics as normal until it's too late and trump has total control of the government and beats the courts and justice dept into submission through intimidation.
  23. Israel deciding to go full genocide in Gaza has made them unpopular. Not protests. The protests are simply a symptom of unpopular/horrific actions. They aren't fighting against it. Biden and Kamala aren't allies of Palestinians. No American president would ever be a Palestinian ally as long as Israel is the lone American ally in the Middle East. That's where nuance comes in and Muslims had to realize Trump would be both an outright enemy of Palestine and an enemy of their own interests living in the USA. They wanted to punish Biden and Harris by choosing someone who will not only fuck Gaza just as badly, but fuck them here in the US too. Just sheer stupidity. Protesting has to have a unified objective, organization, and leadership to be effective in thwarting authoritarianism. And even then it has to lead to outright resistance and rebellion against the dictator and his people. If Newsome is capable and willing he could be that guy. Americans who aren't brainwashed maga morons are wanting to fight back. We just need the leadership to lead the fight. Millions are begging for Democrats to get angry, get ruthless, and lead a resistance force against this authoritarian garbage. Now is the time.
  24. The protests weren't effective. This nation full of idiot Muslims who were too stupid to understand the concept of choosing the better of 2 evils and voted themselves into a far worse situation did the damage. Peaceful protests work in democracies where elected officials have to worry about being voted out. Doesn't do much against insane authoritarians who only have to worry about being assassinated to lose power. Unless that protesting is generating the rise of a leader to organize and unleash a resistance force against the authoritarian regime.
