  1. Had takeout at Clementine in San Antonio a couple of days ago and thought it was great. Saw Mayor Nirenberg's wife there waiting for food, so if he's not worried about it I'm not going to worry about it.
  2. Italy actually banned Chinese flights on January 31. They were the first EU country to do that and they did over a month before Trump did. https://www.thelocal.it/20200131/italy-suspends-all-china-flights-after-coronavirus-cases-confirmed-in-rome/
  3. Kansas is in play as well if Kobach is the GOP nominee.
  4. I can't help thinking about NowThis's post now every time I hear or read something about Kobe's death. That url could not be any funnier
  5. Raleigh Beer Garden has 366 taps in their establishment making it the Guinness world record holder for the largest selection of draft beer. Food is standard pub food. Also Brewery Bhavana is another place with a great selection of beer (some they make themselves) and the food is excellent. Was named one of Bon Appetit's best 10 new restaurants a couple years ago.
  6. Man, fuck all these news organizations who gave Trump such a prominent platform all these years. After his housing discrimination cases and his reaction to the the Central Park jogger case they should’ve realized what a racist piece of dogshit he is. He should’ve gotten the Jimmy the Greek or Michael Richards treatment decades ago. Why the hell was that interview necessary?
  7. 1910 is everywhere in San Antonio. I'm amazed people on here are pointing out where it is.
  8. That was virtually the same pitch he threw Correa for the walk off in game 2.
  9. Wonder what Rendon's thinking. Playing his hometown team in his first World Series.
  10. After racist emails, Wake Forest University keeps armed guards outside of some classrooms https://www.washingtonpost.com/education/2019/09/27/after-racist-emails-wake-forest-university-keeps-armed-guards-outside-some-classrooms/
  11. I think this is a more of a testament to how awful South Carolina and Miami are. Assuming, of course, Wake keeps this up. They play BC in Chestnut Hill next week. That’ll be the test to see if they’re actually legit or not.
  12. They used to be in Wake Forest, NC. RJ Reynolds’ family, owner of the cigarette company that produces Salem, Winston, Camel and other brands, practically bought Wake Forest and moved them to their land in Winston-Salem in 1941.
  13. He also played at the Lucky Eagle in Eagle Pass. Dude played at all the best Texas spots
  14. Stanford's kicker sucks again. It's amazing how teams like Stanford and Alabama can't get a legit kicker
  15. Their qb Dorian Thompson-Robinson was the #2 dual threat qb in the country in 2018. I can't tell if he's just a bust or Chip Kelly just sucks now.
  16. UNC and Wake are in different divisions in the ACC so they play each other only once every 7 years. Since the ACC requires every team play a power 5 conference opponent every year, UNC and Wake took advantage of this to schedule themselves as a non-conference game to boost ticket sales. They play each other again as a non-conference game in 2021.
  17. True freshman Kedon Slovis (#26 pro-QB coming out of HS) of USC is outperforming junior Davis Mills (#1 pro-QB coming out of HS) of Stanford so far.
  18. UNC squeaks out another one against Miami. Hurricanes miss FG in final seconds for the tie. They'll probably be ranked next week.
  19. That's too bad. One option that's not super close to campus but it's still less than 30 minutes is to stay at one of the hotels in the Catalina Foothills. The one I recommend is Loews Ventana Canyon but there are a lot of great options. If you go to Loew's definitely do their Sunday brunch. One of the best spreads I've ever seen at a hotel.
  20. Arizona Inn is the classic, timeless old school Tucson option that I highly recommend. Great rooms and restaurant and it's right near campus. Tucson does actually have a light rail so you can stay at any of the hotels downtown like Hotel Congress and ride in to campus.
  21. Collard greens - 95% of the time they're either too salty or completely bland. Always order them though whenever I see it on a menu just for that 5% chance they're divine.
  22. Any recommendations from the wineries on this list? https://www.wineroad.com/events/wine-food-affair/?section=wineries Gonna be in Sonoma that weekend and thinking about doing this event with some friends.
  23. Shithead, Dan Patrick, keeping his focus on the real issue here.
