  1. Bermuda is just taking over what I think is some zoysia strain. Cactus, I think you offered some chemical that might help. So I need to kill the Bermuda and replant pallets? Waiting until after growing season? Other? Looks like zoysia is still under it getting smothered so I’m at a loss. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Help me identify this shrub It got some serious issues. Wondering if I should trim back and treat? The new growth this year seems ok. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Yes, if you are thinking walkability is something Rosedale has Ramsey park, close to the Triangle, and depending on whether north or south of 45th you have a bunch of stuff along Burnet or along Medical. Burnet quickly becoming quite the place with options for just about everything you would want.
  4. I lived in Cat Mountain area for a while and that areas once once all original owners however has had a major influx of new/growing families. School system is Highland Park but then over to the other side of MoPac to Lamar and McCallum so that might fit the "spread out" thing you are looking to avoid. Area just to the north along Far West/GreyStone has a lot of families and are all close to the school systems there. Not really walkable however there is more and more along Far West that's really close. (JCC/Kosher HEB/etc) Going west from here to Lakewood and Jester you are going to find homes a little more outdated... I'm not that sure about Lakewood but my feel is that it still a bit old folks while Jester is starting to be much younger ones/new families. Both have HOA Pool areas and are pretty self contained. As was started above north of Great Hills gets you into Westwood (RR ISD) which is a great school and nice area and should be an easy commute to Domain.
  5. I’d be interested to know (over DM)... the folks at the club from GM to Pro all had plenty to say about those owners so I was already soured on them. Happy about a change and hopefully one for the better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Hola gents! Weighed myself the other day at a hotel and I'm over 200 which means I need to take health seriously again with my second child coming very soon. Probably going to be hard to get anything going with a new baby here at first but hoping to make incremental progress and will try and report back for some guidance and encouragement.

Anyone been to Roland's? I've been meaning to go as it has pretty good reviews.
  8. Getting close to having our second and the wife asks me to dig out the Infant carrier from storage and put it in her car. I looked but it's no longer there so I tell her I guess we gave it away to someone but I'll take a look at Craigslist and get one this weekend. That evening she decided that just a carrier won't do any longer and she needs to upgrade to all new stuff (carrier, stroller, extra seats, etc.) It's not until I see the charge happen on my card that I ask and she tells me the stupid UppaBaby stroller we have from a few years ago just won't do anymore since we likely can't find the right adapter for whatever infant seat we get. And get this... the new one has special "summer seats" that are all mesh so the baby doesn't get hot. Ugh, getting rid of that old seat cost me another $1400!
  9. Got damn... this hits close to home.
  10. From what I've seen online they have a lot of benefits for Daily fee courses including memberships that give reduced playing benefits at various area courses. But I'm not sure what similar things they might have for private courses. It does sounds like they invest significant money into courses they buy to up level the quality and focus on non-golfing amenities as well so that's good.
  11. Not good news? I got a letter from Arcis today saying they will be hosting some member focus groups and receptions in the next few months. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I thinking 5800 that it needs to break through first. Still watching for one more big pull back though:
  13. Dominion Golf Group just sold to Arcis as of tomorrow. Includes Onion Creek, RiverPlace, Twin Creeks here in Austin. Anyone a member at an Arcis course? Interested to see how this changes the club experience plus whether they have similar reciprocal playing benefits. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Is the IP address needed to connect these via WiFi? For my system the Cameras and hard wired to the DVR which is hard wired (Cat6) to my router. Then I can either tie that feed into a monitor or use the mobile App to view the live feed or the recorded content on the DVR.
  15. Lot of interesting (bad) advice in this thread. Rings are something women with talk about / compare to for many years. There are some that really don’t care but I’m willing to bet the minority. Don’t kill yourself financially but get a nice ring for her if she appreciates that. You have plenty of time to make more money... don’t sweat paying a few months salary on something she will wear a lifetime. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  17. My recent conversation with the company that installed mine said that many people still use PoC (Analog) versus the PoE (digital). Quality is still just as high but the digital cost is much more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Old... I heard they changed. So is this no longer on a 1600 point scale?
  19. My god this thread give me heartburn. Kids are far away from even thinking about college but standards seem so high now. 1460? Hell I was just over 1300 and in top ten 10% and was able to have my pick of schools. Ugh
  20. True. I only have a stretch of conduit on one side of the house... originating from the attic and extending to both the front of the house and the back where both sets of cameras are mounted. The house is two story so for the cameras mounted inside the wires are run between the floors which seems incredibly difficult which is why I would definitely opt for professional installation.
  21. Pool weather is almost here but damn the water is still cold and I'm too cheap to run the heater. Does anyone have an automatic pool cover? Any tips on getting them serviced and places in Austin that do it?
  22. Dyezz did all the install work. I've got a few cameras inside and some outside. The ones outside have all the wires run with conduit externally while inside is run through the attic and crawl spaces. I personally think it's worth getting professional help to install it correctly. As far as night vision... mine do just fine in close range. It's not in color and they are only HD but good enough for what I need.
  23. I have a setup similar to the above.... it's FLIR that has now been purchased by Lorex but it's pretty nice. I've had a few cameras go out so working on getting those fixed (hopefully just a fuze)
  24. Hooray!!! Land stated put and improvement went up 9% so I guess that's a positive.
