  2. I get your point but I think Sark would do just fine with Caleb Williams or Kyler Murray, especially Kyler.
  3. Yeah, as I said, he's probably been this guy from the beginning but I wasn't paying enough attention to him before he "went public" with his batshittery in the Thai cave thing. He hasn't been around forever. He was worth a paltry $2B in 2012. Hell, it wasn't until the Twitter acquisition where he completed his transformation into full-on Bond villain.
  4. This is that same Tahoe! It took a long time -- and several BBS groups -- but the "quarter" finally took the old girl down.
  5. Sadly, my beloved 2009 Tahoe is on its last legs. It's got a bad, bad oil leak that will be costly to fix and I've come to the conclusion that it's probably time to move on and get a new vehicle. I haven't decided one way or the other if I'm going new or used (a year or two old) here. This is kind of what I'm looking at -- trying to figure out if there are any big "gotchas" to any I'm not thinking about. I am not spending $70K on a new Tahoe for several reasons -- I don't love the new body style and I've had more than a few clients with Tahoes/Yukons where the engine or transmission has completely shit the bed on them. If I'm going to spend that much on a bigger SUV, I'll consider the new Lexus GX and drive it for the next decade-plus. Note that I've really got my eye on the electric/hybrid Scout SUV that is slated to come out in 2027 and have put down $100 to get in line to order one when available. So, this purchase could be a bridge to get to that point. Here's what I'm looking at: Lexus ES sedan -- reliable, nice-looking, interior is very high-class (wife has a '22 350RX) but it's also very boring and I've driven an SUV for 15 years (note: I could go new or get a 2022 or 2023 as a bridge to the Scout since Lexus hold their values very well) New Ford Bronco -- was very intrigued by these when they were first announced and then impossible to get once first released; have not driven one but have sit in a buddy's -- they're very Jeep-y feeling and I didn't love it; I don't make too many road trips but I will from time to time and I'd want some sense of good highway driving; ability to take top off, etc is very appealing (would look at either the 4-door or 2-door models) -- will definitely go test drive one before I make a decision Toyota 4-Runner -- try as I might, I just don't love this car; some I think look great (dark grey with all-black emblems/tags) and others don't (would have to talk myself into this being my car for the next 10 years to justify the spend for the 4-Runner); interior is understandably utilitarian Toyota Land Cruiser -- the newest version is very cool looking but also a step up in price from the 4-Runner (like the 4-Runner, it's very, ahem, rustic WRT to the interior) Lexus GX -- this is a beautiful vehicle IMO and would give me some of the space back that I'm giving up with the Tahoe but it ain't cheap Mercedes sedan -- I've always wanted to own/drive a Mercedes sedan and could definitely get behind the idea of buying a couple of years old Mercedes with an eye to trading it in for a Scout in a few years but I'm worried about these things when they're beyond the factory warranty (or need to have oil changed, etc -- is it a $500 oil change for instance); is this like a BMW situation? Great vehicle while in warranty but get the fuck out as soon as that period is over (wife's family mechanic who is like Seinfeld's mechanic/Soup Nazi but amazing at what he does does not work on Mercedes -- or any other German vehicles -- for various reasons So there you go. Looking for any pros/cons here to the vehicles above. Also, wondering if there's any rush to pull the trigger between now and year's-end. Like do dealerships pay taxes for all vehicles on lots at the end of the year, etc. I also know you're limiting yourself to the vehicles on hand if you rush but Sewell and Park Place have a wide array of Lexus sedans in stock for instance.
  6. I'm sure he'd shown signs of douchnozzleness previously but I first really started paying attention when he tried to get involved when the boys soccer team got trapped in the cave in Thailand. Leon called the main guy working the problem a "pedo" after the guy basically blew off Leon's idea to rescue the kids. At that point, I knew something was really wrong with the dude.
  7. And Gakpo's two-handed shove in the back is a standard foul.
  8. To each their own but I can't stand his music. He did a pretty good job on the Pogues' cover this past week, though.
  9. I'm gonna laugh when she's on the "deport" list
  10. Gakpo just nuked that rebound. Holy fuck! Initially called offsides.
  11. Nailed it
  12. He’s not going to be LaNorris Sellers at South Cackalacky but he’s got sneaky wheels. But, yes, his passing skills will be what makes him or not ultimately. It’s just that ability to move, and his size, compared to oft-injured and slow Ewers that has convinced Sark to use him the way he is currently.
  13. This is hilarious. Remember aggy never lies, cheats or steals.
  14. Thought this week’s was pretty damn funny. Melissa McCarthy stole the cars skit.
  15. Updated CFP odds from Athletic/NYT:
  16. Yep. First off, I love Sark and want him here a long time. But I think he's doing both of them a disservice with the way he uses Arch's abilities. It's almost like he's using Arch a few times just to shut up the fans clamoring for him to come on. Otherwise, I think he'd be doing different things with Arch out of that package, kind of like Urban did with Tebow. Maybe it's coming but it's getting awful late in the season for it.
  17. 100% -- missed mentioning that in my post. I get the buzz when Arch comes in but it's gotten cringey at this point. He's coming in to either hand the ball off or try and power for a first down. This isn't him coming in to spell a clearly-struggling Ewers in Georgia 1 -- that was kind of a "wow" moment. This is not and if I'm Ewers, I might mutter "motherfucker" every time he comes on to 100K+ screeches after I've just marched the team 60+ yards down the field.
  18. I’m convinced he’s just been hurt all year. That’s really the most likely explanation. The abdominal early in season bothered him after coming back probably sooner than he should have. Then, that’s probably about fully healed and he sprains his ankle badly vs Kentucky. Mix in some between-the-ears shit as NFL guys are concerned about his injury history and he’s falling out of the first round of the Draft. For somebody who has been building to be drafted highly since he was a sophomore in HS, I wouldn’t be surprised if that wasn’t playing a part in this. Though Klubnik outplayed him ultimately at QB, I think Ewers looked pretty good on Saturday. Of course it helps when Blue and Wisner are running all over Clemson. I can quibble with a few throws but overall, I think he was good. He had a big scramble that extended a crucial TD drive and that was great to see. I’ve come to grips with the fact that we aren’t likely to see any jaw-dropping play from him the rest of the way because of the health thing. If we can beat ASU, the next round will tell the tale on Ewers.
  19. He ain’t seeing the inside of a courtroom. This report being made public is going to be as good as this gets.
  20. This been shared yet? “Air” Charlie Kirk. https://www.threads.net/@groguspeaknyc2/post/DD7phgkpE5C?xmt=AQGzgoTn4lItcfrHD0_cEezIor74kJgUiC10UNrgSWoR1Q
  21. Driving back to Dallas from Austin yesterday, my wife pointed out a Confederate flag flying on a flagpole on the west side of I-35 in Waco. I couldn't tell what kind of business it was in front of though. It was pretty jarring to see that fucking thing flying proudly Waco or not. Man, I hate that fucking place.
  22. Not sure why more don’t put him on Ignore. I’ve got him and a few others like Balcones and the usual 3-4 suspects “hidden” from my view. Helps my mental health.
