  1. Yeah there are some accounts that I'd like to see that aren't there yet. I've been building a pretty good political feed that doesn't get hammered with any unwanted crazy bullshit like Elon hammers me with on X. Haven't really built an F1 feed as of yet. Rest assured, however, that any complaints directed at the F1 account (when they start one) will fall on deaf and/or stupid ears.
  2. Yep. Slowly working my way into using it more and more. It's the good things twitter was once upon a time.
  3. That is pretty amazing. Hell I'd go for Green Day all alone. One of the best shows I've ever seen. Maybe the best. I was just telling my kid that even if I just select the acts I'd like to see from that list, it would be an incredible lineup. Green Day Earth, Wind, and Fire Dave Matthews & John Maher Gwen Stefani Chili Peppers Stephen Stills Stevie Nicks
  4. A couple more good money shots ...
  5. 100% he didn't fucking watch it.
  6. Sen. Duckworth is an actual got damn hero. She would be a far better candidate than Hegseth, though I'm not suggesting she should be. She absolutely laid the wood to Hegseth, and summed it all up very well. Hegseth simply will not answer and/or cannot answer many of the questions being posed to him. That alone should be disqualifying.
  7. Yeah that really blew me away. Even if Guam is the only right answer, a truly qualified candidate would have certainly said more than that about it. Wowwwwww.
  8. Yep. So I figured ...
  9. Yeah, the post box alarm shower = best thing evarrr.
  10. Yeah I was gonna mention that earlier and forgot. Drops can be very hazardous to people on the ground, so there has to be a lot of coordination, making sure the drop areas are clear. Don't fuck around anywhere near the drop zone. Also, just saw this update re: the PP fire.
  11. Yeah I'm guessing there are second thoughts being had over that format decision. At least there should be.
  12. Yep, we definitely get winds that can be very problematic.
  13. This is a fantastic video. Really highlights the actual physical difficulties of fighting fires in those wind conditions and how the winds dramatically increase the fire spread. Watch those hose streams and how the wind just breaks them up. Basically the only thing that's changed is the look of the cars and how people dress ... and the increased number of homes and communities in the same area. Highly recommend.
  14. Right. What I read somewhere is that they were allowed to comply under the old rule, which isn't great imho.
  15. I, for one, fully welcome Rep. Crockett's use of the vernacular. It was perfectly appropriate and spot on. But y'all are missing the most important action in that exchange ... This is a declaration of war. Git it, girl.
  16. Man I'm got damn fucking sick of hearing the Rs fuck the "Biden administration bungled the exit from Afghanistan" chicken. Un fucking real. That shit was well and truly fucked by Trump before Biden even took over.
  17. My boys decided to go hang in Montreal for a couple of days after skiing in Vermont. Texted me this today. Exit of the Hairpin, next to the gs I sat in on Saturday in 2010 ...
  18. LOL yesterday I saw Elon's physique described as "Like a bag of milk".
  19. Weather Underground still shows wind from the west at 4 mph, but predicts them to be out of the north and increasing starting around 8 pm.
  20. Related to that ... one of the best firefighters I ever worked with is a lesbian. She was also the best rookie I ever helped to train. Bad ass chick with a BMF belt buckle. Hiked the entire Appalachian Trail before she became a firefighter. Alone. 0% of the time did I ever have to worry about her doing her job and having her shit together. No CR.
  21. Uh, yeah. Seriously impressive deployment of resources. And the fire still rolls along. Of course it's already been said, but many people out there need to understand that these conditions are historically extreme. This is a natural disaster. Like an earthquake or a hurricane, you're not stopping that. It stops when it stops. This fire will not be extinguished until conditions are favorable for it to be extinguished. We just need to be ready when the conditions favor us. Given the incredible resources being brought to bear, I believe we will be ready.
  22. That's pretty cool, but that's a helluva lot of water flowing all at once.
