  1. Nothing says “swanky dinner party” like a Smirnoff Ice duct-taped to your chair.
  2. Ya mean even MORE places you’ve never been to…?
  3. This is exactly why this thread exists right here. I cannot even imagine what I would say to this…
  4. Would love to see the Nextdoor posts on THAT shit.
  5. Taking odds on what time Slorch and Superhero are gonna blow each other in the school yard. Who swallows first…?
  6. Not in my kitchen, bubba….
  7. If you’re downtown, Tout Suite will work, especially if a chick is with you. I also like Leeland House.
  8. Buncha lightweights in this thread. I don't bother doing Vegas unless it's at least 4 nights. Have done full weeks many times and never left The Strip.
  9. Gatorade shelves empty in summer? That’s hard to imagine.
  10. Something, something, your wife’s crack, something.
  11. Separatec. Got a 3-week supply, all acquired at an outrageous discount from their site. Chicks love them, I love them, and my junk stays separated and non-sticky, even though I'm a sweaty mofo.
  12. Eat ‘em all the damn time.
  13. Eh…maybe. Or maybe WAS a strip joint at one point. It was at Airline / Gollihar in the 70s and into the 80s. Then I remember it was The Bair’s Den dive bar. The one at Nile (or is it Rodd Field?) was next to the titty bar. The titty bar had a stupid name, can’t remember, but had lots of midgets, preggos, amputees, and stab-wound scars abounding. Was a great place to drink for cheap during the day, though, without getting hustled. Turned into a Sports Bar for a while. Played a lot of Poker there. I think it’s just called The Tavern now. And the Black Diamond next to it is a car lot now. Fuckin’ Corpus, man…
  14. The original one off Airline was magnificent. The other location off SPID/Nile was tolerable. After that…unknown.
  15. <insert dumbass little girl “why not both?” meme here>
  16. I kinda like the idea of a crock house. Always something scrumptious simmering away. Come up the walk, knock on the door, get a to-go cup of something delicious. A new business venture is brewing here...(see what I did there?)
  17. Another recommendation for Vietnam on Water Street if you're downtown. Or slum it at Executive Surf Club. Definitely Scuttlebutts if you're out on North Padre.
  18. Nonnie’s Bakery in Caldwell does them right, in my opinion.
  19. The obvious joke is: takes one to know one, eh? The legit response is: you are true to your craft and a steely-eyed teacher-man for going to these personal lengths as an educator. Well done, sir. You crazy sunuvabitch.
  20. Not just on the show…
  21. Do you not Good Times, bro?
  22. The Skull at White Oak tonight. Eric, Ron, and Oly from the original Trouble lineup, for those that don’t know. Two albums under their belt, plus (presumably) a few classic Trouble tubes. Gonna Doom out with my tomb out…
  23. I see what you did there…
  24. Kinda weird, but I had a large Publix 2 miles north of me, and a smaller Publix 2 miles south of me. The larger Publix was great for the bulk shopping, and their Pharmacy and deli was great, but they were complete dickheads at their meat and seafood counters. The smaller Publix south of me was a great pop-in-for-a-few-items store, but both their meat and seafood counters were run by managers that actually gave a shit about their customers. I gave them a lot of business, even with holiday special-orders and custom-cuts, and they delivered every time. It was a weird difference for two stores with completely different sizes and layouts 4 miles from each other. A 50,000' Whole Foods opened up right next to the smaller, southern Publix a month before I moved. Kinda wanna see how that's playing out in the neighborhood.
