  1. Which one of you got in a scuffle in R2 with a Texas State fan and both got thrown out?
  2. Put the old one in the new box and return it.
  3. Maby fitlump pulling off the hood.
  4. Nothing new except the ticket usage: Due to forecasted inclement weather in the Austin area, the schedule for the Texas vs Kansas State baseball series has been adjusted. The new dates are: Friday, April 7th Saturday, April 8th Sunday, April 9th GAME TIMES HAVE NOT BEEN FINALIZED AND WILL BE DETERMINED BASED ON THE WEATHER FORECAST. 5. OK, last I'll say, is any direction is dependent upon an agreed coordinate system. In the case of rotation, the + z-axis is coming out of the clock toward the person looking at the clock. That's the baseline for clockwise/counter-clockwise. For somebody standing and spinning, we've pretty much all agreed the z-axis is up. So for @Wiler77 standing to the side of the jumper, he is assuming up for z-axis, but for the BIL looking up from the pool he is assuming facing him is the z-axis. No agreed coordinate system...no agreed direction. Let's say one person was on each side of the pool and the kid did a front flip. I would hope that both would agree it was a clockwise rotation for one and counter for the other if both assumed the z-axis was facing them.
  6. No different than left and right which depends on the point of view. The "clock" part of the word is just using something we are all familiar with, just like we all know which is left or right when facing forward.
  7. This could be good. Team clockwise/counter-clockwise absolutely depends on the point of view. The terms clockwise and counterclockwise can only be applied to a rotational motion once a side of the rotational plane is specified, from which the rotation is observed. For example, the daily rotation of the Earth is clockwise when viewed from above the South Pole, and counterclockwise when viewed from above the North Pole (considering "above a point" to be defined as "farther away from the center of earth and on the same ray").
  8. Yeah, Greg Brown is the most recent comparison and they were very different dudes in this category.
  9. Was told my pool was covered on the 10% other structures. Now that would be about 60-70% the cost of the pool, so figured that would cover a pretty significant repair.
  10. Feel free to double check the numbers.
  11. Not my scene but was curious how Moody looked for CMT awards. Don’t even recognize it. The folks behind it deserve a lot of credit. Pretty amazing we got a great basketball arena and a top notch facility that can host a televised event like that all in one.
  12. Neither him or George was in The Pen. Elaine was not in the pilot or the 2 part LA episodes
  13. Well, it's a wrap...Surly did good as always. Watched the FAU/SDSU game at J Gilligan's (didn't die). Then had dinner at Prince Lebanese which was great. Walmart parking lot was a zoo full of busses and limos so went to watch the rest of Uconn/Miami at Buffalo Wild WIngs. Just walked from there to the stadium to meet the girls and walked back with them. Barely any traffic leaving from there.
  14. sportsurge.net for me most of last year. Watched the Horns last night and then switched to Astros. Was happy to get a nice stream right away. Then it went out during the pitching change before Yordan's at bat in the 7th, so there are downsides. Found another stream about 15 mins later. Fuck dumb ass blackouts for an entire state!
  15. Thanks all! I'll find something to do and eat. Was mostly checking if anybody had any experience meeting or picking up folks after an event without parking. You never know with Surly so worth a try. Figured I could have them walk across to walmart if I can bum around there without getting chased off but that seems to obvious. And it did seem like an interesting thread to bump after reading it. Well probably never back to this thread at least.
  16. You're going to have a hard time getting your brisket to finish at 200F-ish at 170 oven temp. To finish the cook, I'd say 225F.
  17. Yep, she's surely looking for 8:30, but in that case it should have read "Half an hour ago, it was twice as long after noon as it was until midnight. What time is it now?" As written, SilasCoade has it right.
  18. Searched for Arlington and this is what I got. Where should I go for a couple of hours while my daughters are watching Taylor Swift? Also, any general tips for dropping off and picking up people at AT&T stadium?
  19. @immamac please un-feature or announce or whatever it is. I know Tappa sucks blah blah but it doesn’t go to last unread this way. Pinning works fine so can keep that. Thanks and Hook ‘Em.
  20. Proposal for next year. 3,000 turkish get ups. Even 10-15 lbs gets tiring real fast. But, if you can do the move with your wife, you can quit:
  21. I was at an event in Steiner Ranch Steakhouse last weekend in a private room for about 25 people. Cool story I know but it was a pretty nice setup with outdoor patio on the roof.
