Yes. You're right.
They will try, no doubt of that. We need to take whatever actions are needful, from the first kickoff to our hoisting of the trophy.
This is where you need the McMichaelish Studdardliest linemen on your team to make sure that anyone who lights up our QB - or even tries to - that person needs to be, shall we say, "dealt with". This needs to happen as early as possible, both from game and season perspective.
Hope we got some men on the OL who will take up this burden, and protect his guy.
Like the Ol' Ball Coach (or at least my ancient version of him) would tell us, "guys. y'all need to understand the difference between hurt and injure. We don't want to injure anybody, injury is damage, we don't want to cause damage. We want to hurt 'em, and hurt 'em bad... and bruises don't count as "damage". We want to cause pain, such like they don't want to get any more. Don't break anything, don't knock out any teeth, don't poke any eyeballs. Just make 'em give up being willing to get hit again.
