  1. Which is why I specifically said "basically the same as the Pods..."
  2. Well... this is basically the same as the Pods from a few years back, but we don't seem to have a lot of mention of that dreaded word.
  3. Ahhh... The Commitments. 2, 1a, 1b, x, x, x, x
  4. That was one of three games in a row - actually I think it was three out of four - in which Okie State kicked our asses pretty significantly in the first half, and we outscored them 108 to nothing in the second half.
  5. That, and deBoer apparently didn't think too highly of him.
  6. *cue Or, arguably but requiring additional intel, queue.
  7. *You're ... or it's my welcome. NTN
  8. ... immediately commences to defend Bear Grylls, gets called out by a number of fellow Surlys, responds by changing subject to Miz Grylls' lack of outstandingly beautiful physical appearance. Congrats on providing an excellent - and reasonably short - example of Surlyism in practice. Derkaesque, but far more succinct. Well done.
  9. Isn't $200,000 a tad big to be retired?
  10. For you, amd any who share your take: Yes. You're right. They will try, no doubt of that. We need to take whatever actions are needful, from the first kickoff to our hoisting of the trophy. This is where you need the McMichaelish Studdardliest linemen on your team to make sure that anyone who lights up our QB - or even tries to - that person needs to be, shall we say, "dealt with". This needs to happen as early as possible, both from game and season perspective. Hope we got some men on the OL who will take up this burden, and protect his guy. Like the Ol' Ball Coach (or at least my ancient version of him) would tell us, "guys. y'all need to understand the difference between hurt and injure. We don't want to injure anybody, injury is damage, we don't want to cause damage. We want to hurt 'em, and hurt 'em bad... and bruises don't count as "damage". We want to cause pain, such like they don't want to get any more. Don't break anything, don't knock out any teeth, don't poke any eyeballs. Just make 'em give up being willing to get hit again.
  11. This is probably covered elsewhere, but... These ostensibly punitive forfeitures, $25 million or whatever, to whom are the forfeitures paid? I mean, do the victims of scouting get some, or the conference, or hmmmm, the NCAA Executive Travel Fund?
  12. Miz Long wants to know if a Livestream (from the party) is plammed/possible?
  13. Sure, that goes without saying, but Ewers' injuries would override that. Quite a crowd of Surlies speculated on the extent of physical problems.
  14. All things considered, Sark prolly fucked up by not dialing up "First and Manning" in the tOSU game. I think he was too deep into the game by that point, so... shit happens, right? The explanation for not going to Manning after halftime in UGa One and the rest of the season seems to me to be summed up by the apparent fact that he, Sark, is intent on building a Sabanesque Juggernaut/Dynasty and his opinion was - and is - that if the problem at hand is more likely to hurt the long plan if his decision is wrong, then go with the plan with less downside. From that perspective, he probably made the right choice. One can scarcely imagine the havoc if Arch had gone in and thrown a pick-6 instead of the strip-scoop-score that actually occurred. ...but I still wish we coulda seen Arch in there, although the seemingly quite likely mild concussion woulda shoulda prevented that, anyway.
  15. Good take: Final four, position to win at the end... and... nope. This time, make it happen.
  16. The real point here has moved on from "Is Quinn still hurt and, if so, will he snap out of it soon?" to "Will Quinn make a run in NFL" on the one hand, but also "WTF was Sark thinking, keeping Quinn on the field?" I see it as possibly the head coach being an "Old QB" and giving the guy every possible break. Were I in Sark's place, I believe I'd see myself in Ewers' position rather than in Arch's. But even then, why would Sark not move along? I was expecting to see Arch in UGa first game, as a lot of us were. I was not surprised when he came into the game. I was surprised when he didn't start the second half. I mean, he didn't exactly tear it up in his first-half performance, but at least he didn't eat massive amounts of shit.
  17. For no clearly definable reasons, I have the feeling that we're going to repeat last season, go up to the home field of the reigning national champion, and dominate them in every phase pf the game.
  18. The best take-away from this outing is that this season's QB play is more certainly than ever going to be a distinct improvement in every way.
  19. Any news about Patricia worrying about Livingstone?
  20. I'm thinking Wilson so bad that Coach wants to see more confirmed shittiness.
  21. Wilson looks like shit. This seems good for Ewers. Looking to see Ewers whoe second half...

    Flaco Gone.

RIP Flaco. We are fortunate to live in a world with great music recording and replaying capabillities. I put an old vinyl album and listened to Doug Sahm and Flaco. Next best thing to live music, brings understanding of continuity.
