  1. Same. We should probably start a separate thread because it’s absolutely going to be a Best Picture nominee.
  2. To be clear, my unlikeable comment was about Nahlin, not Bobby. I think Bobby and Gerry are the best of the 9.95 world by a long shot.
  3. I think most people dislike IT because of Nahlin, not Gerry and Bobby. The guy just comes off as a tremendously unlikeable douche bag. But if he is instrumental in this, I give him props.
  4. This was a pretty good movie. Will Smith and the wife were both great. I also thought they did a good job with the tennis action recreations.
  5. Insane to me that those dudes were in their mid to late 20s. Cigarettes are a hell of a drug.
  6. Probably because about 10 minutes before (assuming the doc is relatively close to real life chronology) Paul was describing his chord choices as passé. He didn’t seem to respond well to that, and seemed totally miffed watching Paul and John sing Two of Us to each other. Lennon saying “if he isn’t back by Tuesday we’ll get Clapton” was cold as ice.
  7. Well we know it has to be something worse than caving a woman’s face in to bother OU fans. I have a feeling you’ll find a way
  8. Hey fuck you bro, we only lost by 19 to the team in a three way tie for third in the SEC West. Respect Sark’s ability.
  9. Update: Licorice Pizza fucking ruled. A mess at times with totally unnecessary and outlandish scenes, but the “funnest” movie PTA has done in years.
  10. If you are seeing this movie as anything other than a comedy, you ain’t livin.
  11. It’s ok. In the old days it would be described as B&T, which now mostly just means it’s filled with Jersey crews and tourists. Their cocktails are pretty good, I just wouldn’t go out of your way, especially with KK, Dante and others close by.
  12. Not the best spot for bagels, but if you are really stuck around grand central, Ess A is definitely the most classic in that general area. If you can take the train up to H&H or down to Russ and Daughters, even better.
  13. Steph Curry. He’s good at basketball
  14. Three Sad Virgins was hilarious, and agree that new girl on WU was really good. I’m probably in the minority on this site but I’ll really miss when this core group is gone. Cecily, Kenan, Aidy, Che and Jost, Ego, Melissa V, Pete, Bowen. I think they are a really great group overall.
  15. I’m in the middle of a re-watch. Just watched Whitecaps. Holy shit what an episode of television. Just an acting master class.
  16. Seems like you are trying to do a “classic” New York trip. Not much better in that respect than a martini and chop and Keen’s. Daniel is also a classic on the east side, and about a 15 minute walk from your hotel.
  17. The lack of late night stuff is really annoying; I hope it eventually comes back in full force. Last night I got out of DUNE at midnight, and it felt like every restaurant closed at 11. Ended up just stopping by Katana Kitten on the way home for a mortadella katsu and boilermaker (which was a tasty snack, but I miss the days of Buvette at 1am).
  18. I think it’s released outside of LA and New York on Christmas Day.
  19. Have tickets to see 70mm day after thanksgiving. Can’t fucking wait.
  20. Get the wine pairing if you can. My friend is the wine coordinator there. Knows her shit.
  21. Updated rankings from me. Honestly if this movie came out when I was in high school instead of Life Aquatic, I would probably have it higher, but nostalgia is a bitch. 1. Rushmore 2. Royal Ts 3. Grand Budapest 4. Bottle Rocket 5. Life Aquatic 6. French Dispatch 7. Moonrise Kingdom 8. Darjeeling 9. Fantastic Mr. Fox 10. Isle of Dogs
  22. I have nothing to add, except Philly itself is fucking awesome. Have taken multiple day and weekend trips from nyc and always have a great time.Pennsylvania as a state is a dump, but Philly fucks.
