  1. In addition to those mentioned, I'll add Bubba Watson's second shot after his first went waaaaay back in the trees, in a playoff, at The Masters, with his first major on the line.
  2. Any chance y'all could repeat this performance on Sunday?
  3. Cocksucker deserved to score the clincher for us. Side note: he sees a straight-red if he performs that same ”tackle” on Kane. Refs let an insane amount of stuff go against us.
  4. Another £250m from investment this summer and we in business. There are reports that KSE was ready to pay whatever for Caicedo and Mudyrk, but Arteta and Edu said no. Stick to the plan. They’ve gotten a taste of winning (Rams and Avs) and want to keep it going. Plus we’ll have CL revenue next year. Indeed. He’s an upgrade on Holding, If we could have gotten Kiwior some experience before Anfield and City Really, REALLY don’t want to lose Tierney this summer. Arteta needs to let him do what he was born to do - bomb down the wing and whip in a cross - as a change of pace. And, as noted, he’s better defensively. He looks lost trying to be Zinchenko. But that point is so valid. Use the squad.
  5. Yup x 3. That was a great result. St James’ is a fearsome atmosphere when Newcastle are good, and they’re good. Only their second (?) home loss this season. Weathered their opening, Cap took a beauty, then we held on before (I’d say) forcing Schar - who should have been off on a red by then - into an OG: he knew Jesus was behind him for a tap-in. Clean sheet and onto Brighton. Yes City have 16-7 players, but us winning also means Pep has to keep running out his stronger-st sides. Hopefully playing every three days for six weeks will bite them at some point. Ramsdale MoTM, but Jorginho had a low-key great performance today.
  6. TBF, second was settled when City beat us. Even if we win out, I can’t see them dropping five points. We need to learn that “killer mentality” that y’all had and City have.
  7. Suck it, Schar. Dude should have been on a red by now.
  8. His form had dropped in recent weeks. Tired? Maybe. Wake up call from Mik? More likely. FIFY. Two-nil is our worst scoreline, and we haven’t played a good 2nd half in a while.
  9. We can finish with a maximum of 90 points. That would be level with The Invincibles, and more than the 1989, 1991, 1998, and 2002 champions. Ninety points would be a remarkable improvement over recent seasons, and the club had targeted next season (after another strong summer window) to push for the title anyway. It would suck harder than ousux to finish second after leading for so long, but we’re ahead of schedule. City can finish with 94 and are ahead on GD by 12; tonight would have been a chance to make a dent in that, but see the above about us not stomping on necks & ending matches remorselessly. They can draw twice and likely win a GE title on GD. We need to win out and have them drop at least five points. A draw and a loss would do it. It’s a long-shot but… The seven we dropped vs Southampton and Everton are looming large. Nine if we factor in West Ham, too.
  10. Can Big Sam get a "new manager bounce" at City, three days after they play Leeds and three days before they play Madrid?
  11. Hopefully this slumpbuster busted the slump, because we're gonna need some good vibes to get a result at Newcastle.
  12. Where the fucking fuck was this the past two weeks?! Lets fucking go, you Gunners
  13. Yeah, looks like whomever let them into the pit area forgot there was still one car needing to change tires. Not great, Bob. Regarding Fernando giving Stroll his brake balance settings: 1. Because Lance is is bosses son? 2. He knows Lance poses zero threat to him? 3. Lance going faster keeps the chasing pack away from him? 4. A return for Lance not attacking him early on? 5. All of the above?
  14. Delete post, ban user. S’ton lost to Newcastle not Bournemouth. But the point about drawing twice vs the bottom club holds.
  15. We can only hope; April was a horrid month. Bournemouth 4-1 Southampton. Bad result looking worse. Four points dropped to the bottom club, another three lost to Everton. Those seven points are looming large.
  16. You’d think the past 10+ years of Texas football would have prepared and numbed me to crushing disappointment. But no. 1000% Agree with all, esp the last sentence.
  17. Seriously, though.... Your 2020 title (and "would have been a title in 2019 had the competition not been a petrostate-fueled sportswashing project"), which was damn impressive at the time, looks more impressive by the year.
  18. We won last night on Ted Lasso. So at least we've got that going for us.
