  2. I hear you. As you can imagine, growing up in a small West Texas oil patch town, I knew a lot of loud, brash teenage girls in high school. Some of them knew nothing but privilege growing up. Others were products of "oil field trash" families. Many were like Ruth from the "Ozark" show without the cunning derring-do who've grown up to be a bunch of bitter Darlene Snells. Most of the rich ones turned into Wendy Byrds (a few turned out awesome, though). Still, most are despicable in different ways, but one thing the shitty ones almost all share is a lack of shyness about speaking their politically polluted minds on fucking Facebook. I'm not active on the site anymore, but when I was, I decided at some point that there was no good reason for self-censorship. My rationale was that they needed to realize dissenting viewpoints among people they actually grew up with and personally know exist. We Texas progs are often accused of living in a liberal bubble, but I can assure you many of them are more out of touch than you can imagine, still living in the wastelands or now hiding in their North Texas suburban McMansions. Facebook wasn't their personal megaphone to be complete cunts. They need to know that the guy they may have made out with, played in band with, sat behind in class, or voted for in a student council election is a gotdam proud liberal who can still out-smart them, out-debate them, and out-asshole them, if needed (I very rarely actually used that last one, to be honest). All of the above also applies to the guys, but, on the whole, they were not nearly as active on Facebook. After the 2016 election, one guy I went to high school with now living in Lubbock actually went so far as to create a private FB group for all the other liberals from that town, either still living in West Texas or elsewhere, to commiserate. It was like a Super Secret Squirrel lifeline, which more-or-less acted as a safe place for the liberals who were still living out there among the fascist theocrats and for them to know they were not alone. I can honestly also say I was pleasantly surprised a few times by those who turned out not to be Trumpers. I'm not sure what my point is with this rant other than to say why give them tacit permission to think they are in the entitled majority who can bully everyone else with their bullshit. I'm not saying you should be a dick about it, but I also know it's not healthy for someone like you to self-silence. Who knows, you might also end up giving permission for others you know from the past to speak up if they feel like they could be ostracized by all those "mean girls."
  3. Those are great arguments for Israel NOT to respond directly by bombing shit in Iran and instead to keep it all in the local area with proxies.
  4. If Israel were to retaliate, I don't see how Iran wouldn't strike back in kind.
  5. Yeah, Israel regained a bit of moral high ground yesterday with the attack, which was demonstrated by Jordan and Iraq closing their airspace and the former assisting in defending them. While Israel could bypass Jordan by flying over Syria, they wouldn't be able to avoid flying over Iraq. It seems that the Israeli Air Force would have the air superiority advantage over both of them; I do think it's a risk, and I also don't know if Russia has any air assets in Syria nor whether they'd intervene in protecting Iran (their ally in the Ukraine war). So, that's a consideration. And that doesn't even take into account the risks of escalation in a direct confrontation between Iran and Israel. If Israel were able to pull off taking out any nuclear facilities or drone manufacturing operations unscathed and without a lot of collateral damage to civilians while also avoiding a wider regional conflict, okay, sure. I wouldn't squawk too much about it. However, I don't think that's feasible any longer. Iran just demonstrated they have the capacity to hurt Israel if they really wanted to with an even larger drone/missile attack. This is a capability Iran didn't have a couple of decades ago when Israel previously bombed nuke shit there. Simmer down, oh, control your temper Simmer down, for the battle will be hotter Simmer down, can you hear what I say?
  6. That's cool. I just recall at one point, I was following two accounts that looked virtually identical with the exact same little logo/icon as the profile pic and both with the name OSINTdefender and realized after a while that one of them was parroting Kremlin talking points. Obviously, I only brought it up in the context that someone commented, and I didn't see it reported anywhere, that no one else was saying that US troops were also under attack.
  7. After the second guess, I had two words left in mind and, of course, I chose the wrong one. 8. It really is something and says a lot about their character. Biden's first impulse is to help a kid out, while Trump's instinct tells him to act like a bully. Is Joe a saint? I highly fucking doubt it, but at least the man isn't a fucking monster.
  9. Not only the longer distance to anticipate/watch the rockets/drones fly it also seems, quite frankly, like it'd be a lot easier to provide air defense over a smaller territory than a larger one. ap
  10. It's just a short 15-second recording. I thought it was humorous.
  11. When I was still on Twitter, I remember one of those OSINTdefender accounts ended up being one that spread Russian propaganda. It looked virtually identical to another legitimate OSINTdefender account.
  12. Oh, he's serious? I thought it was just a joke.
  13. Lots of moving parts, which I suspect is kind of the point with drones, cruise missiles (slow but maneuverable), and now ballistic missiles, fast but predictable. Hezbollah shooting shit off. Who's next? Houthis?
  14. I can't keep up. Too many moving parts, which I suspect is kind of the point with drones, cruise missiles, and now ballistic ones. It'll be a joy (/s) if Hezbollah and the Houthis start shooting off shit next.
  15. Well, we know that Iraq and Jordan have closed theirs. I doubt Saudi and Turkey want Iranian shit flying above. So, really, that just leaves Syria/Lebanon, which is back to Square 1. 12 minutes, right?
  16. I'm assuming it's Anti-AirCraft. Acronyms get thrown around way too often on this site.
  17. Jordan and the US forces (present in Jordan, Syria, and Iraq) are between Israel and Iran. Maybe not a lot of these slow-ass drones even make it Israel? I don't know shit about fuck when it comes to the technical details though.
  18. Lots of talking heads are speculating that this was Iran's intention. They felt obligated to respond to the Damascus embassy attack but have been communicating for a week that they were going to respond, giving Israel time to prepare and now sending slow shit. In other words, a "measured response." I guess we'll have to wait and see what is targeted, what the damage will be, and how Israel will respond.
  19. BBC News is reporting that some drones have already been shot down over Syria and Jordan. Jordan is assisting Israel in air defense. Reports that there are about 100 drones/cruise missiles on their way.
  20. To be clear, I don't have cable, but I can watch BBC World News from here. That's where I'm passing on information from. https://thetvapp.to/tv/bbc-world-news-hd-live-stream/ They have someone on who is saying that Jordan is NOT a fan of Iran, and they feel like it's a nightmare to be caught between Iran and Israel. At the same time, they've been highly critical of Israel's action in Gaza, basically accusing them of genocide. That said, they're siding with Israel on this one.
