  1. It’s been a long time. It was about trains, right?
  2. Good to see Edward Furlong’s keeping busy.
  3. And if you can’t trust the opinion page of the Wall Street Journal, who can you trust!?
  4. There are tons of cases. First, the problem would be that it's not a negligence case, it's a premises liability case. Negligence against a premises owner requires affirmative, contemporaneous conduct; premises liability is a nonfeasance theory based on the premises owner's failure to make the premises safe. See United Scaffolding, Inc. v. Levine, 537 S.W.3d 463, 471 (Tex. 2017); Del Lago Partners v. Smith, 307 S.W.3d 762, 776 (Tex. 2010). Under a premises liability theory, you'd have to show both that a condition of the premises posed an unreasonable risk of harm, and that Costco knew or should have known about the risk, and that Costco failed to make the condition reasonably safe. See United Supermarkets, LLC v. McIntire, 646 S.W.3d 800, 802 n.4 (Tex. 2022); Austin v. Kroger Tex., L.P., 465 S.W.3d 193, 203 (Tex. 2015). And before you start analyzing these standards, let me assure you that the Texas Supreme Court interprets them in a decidedly pro-company way.
  5. Assuming this happened in Texas, no.
  6. There was a nice coach from VCU in 2011 who got to the Final Four, which is more than can be said for RT. Hiring that guy was a disaster.
  7. Batting in baseball and cricket is completely different. Having played baseball growing up, just holding a cricket bat correctly was completely awkward. There’s also the fact that cricket bowlers have a lot of different spins that are really weird when they come off the ground. And that sometimes, your best bet is to block, rather than try to hit the ball.
  8. Based on the last 10+ years of Texas quarterbacks…
  9. Without a doubt, San Juan and the rest of Puerto Rico are two very different things. Food-wise, if you want fancy, go to 1919, RAYA, or Sage. Bottega for tapas/wine bar. People rave about Marmalade but I wasn't impressed. Or drive inland to Bacoa, which despite being affordable is incredible. https://www.bbc.com/travel/article/20220215-is-americas-best-restaurant-in-puerto-rico
  10. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The BFG is next.
  11. Diabeetus.
  12. Great, now there's a fucking hole in the wall.
  13. Serious question: what sort of D&O and E&O coverage would a bank like this have?
  14. I assumed Lunardi bought a Bradley Fighting Vehicle.
  15. It's as good or better than his grasp of constitutional law!
  16. But is his meme game strong?
  17. Should have been Mewtenant Dan. You were so close.
  18. I’m starting to think that since we suspended Beard we’ve sorta sucked from the coaching perspective.
  19. No idea what half the slang meant, but the commentary was certainly entertaining.
  20. Wake up sheeple!!
  21. The possibility of a third-party release for the parent company is arguably even more important.
  22. I’ve been watching Texas sports for too long to be an optimist.
  23. Well, let's not start sucking each other’s dicks just yet. There’s still a chance for the 3rd Circuit en banc or SCOTUS to step in.
