  1. I do the spicy charro and they never disappoint.
  2. Nice. I pull tenderloins at 140F. Still looks great.
  3. Depends on what kind of modem you're using. Some modems do not support gig service (mine doesn't). If you want to actually be running gig speeds, you need to make sure your modem and router are gig compatible.
  4. I’ve bought SLB at $17 and more at $17.50 and it’s currently at $42. I’ve also bought XLE at $30 or so and it’s at $75.57 currently. Honestly, I’ll probably just hold them for the long term as I don’t need the cash. Kinda fun to see such big gains on my Schwab account.
  5. My inlaws live out in Flint, about 10 miles south of Tyler. They're good. A good friend of theirs lives out in Edom and he's good as well.
  6. Interesting. I definitely don’t run every day. I typically run two or three times a week. Typically 3 miles and a longer one on the weekends. Sometimes I will do 2 5ks during the week and a longer one on the weekend. I find if I lengthen my stride, I’ll have more hip pain. Feel great this evening. I’ll look into your tips for sure.
  7. I’m a bit slower than you (33, 6’2”, 180 lbs). I ran 5 miles today in exactly 45 minutes for a 9 minute mile average. I’m running a 10k in a few weeks and slowly picking up the miles. I’m making a conscious effort to go slower as I can run a 5k at an 8:15 pace. I’ve been dealing with a hip flexor issue but feeling better today even after a longer run for me due to extended stretching. Keep at it man.
  8. I typically shave off 30 seconds per mile when I’m running a race, especially if there is a large crowd of spectators. When I run without the dog, I typically go slower as well. Running with someone is definitely a lot more fun.
  9. Only time I’ve ever flown allegiant is when I was on a charter flight. I’ve never paid for a flight with them.
  10. About 6 months ago, I was an avid stomach sleeper until I woke up at 3 AM with the worst back pain I have ever experienced in my life. Almost to the point of being in tears. I've slept on my side and back ever since.
  11. Years 0 - 3 absolutely suck. Years 4 and 5 have been pretty badass. Kids change you and make you realize what's really important in life: family, love, care, and support. My wife and I embraced the suck that were years 0 - 3 and have grown as a couple because of it. Our relationship is better now than it was before we had a kid due to long-term financial planning, priorities, and just a better open line of communication between the both of us.
  12. Surprisingly, I got into it when COVID hit and was impressed at my progress over a year. Went from not being able to run a mile to running 6 miles at a sub 9 min/mile pace. My wife just ran the Houston half and I told her I'd do it with her next year if she did a sub 2:20. She got 2:12 so we signed up that day. Running races helps me stay in good cardiovascular shape by forcing me to run because if I didn't have a race on the horizon, I wouldn't and I'd just go to the gym 6 days a week which can get boring. I also really enjoy running with my dog. She's a fantastic running buddy.
  13. Ran 4 miles today in 35 minutes. Very good pace for me at 8:48/mile. I've got a 10k in 3 weeks and signed up for the Houston half marathon next year.
  14. Antonini's subs in Webster is the best philly cheesesteak sandwich in the metro area. It's a gen in a strip mall that looks like a shithole but it's amazing.
  15. I've never been a huge fan of Luke. I stay across the street whenever I'm in NOLA (Intercon or Residence) and try it every so often and am disappointed frequently. Hope you enjoyed it.

  17. Didn’t realize there was a thread for this. Two deuces in two days. Guess you could say it’s a regular thing now. Wordle 260 2/6 πŸŸ©πŸŸ©β¬›β¬›πŸŸ© 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  18. I was walking through the meat coolers a few weeks ago and saw the Hill Country Fare brand fajita meat packages and grabbed one chicken and one beef. Froze them and remembered I had them a few days ago and got the beef out of the freezer. 10/10 would recommend. Slammed and went hard at some fajitas. Added some Valentina’s and took it to 11.
  19. I drive through San Angelo on my way back from the lease. I'll have to give this a shot next time. Thanks for the rec.
