  1. annnnnnd it's gone.
  2. I wasn't all that impressed with Stanley's. Tyler doesn't really have that many good options as far as BBQ goes (outside of Stanley's). Maybe I just caught them on a bad day.
  3. Thanks man. Did you find more success going to a GP or urologist?
  4. Curious if anyone in here has had their testosterone levels checked? I’m having mine checked next month and wondering who has, results, and if you’re on any therapies (what kind, dosage, etc.) What ranges should I be looking for? I know there’s a free testosterone level I should be paying attention to but other than that, I just want to make sure I’m on the right path. Thanks guys.
  5. What keeps me going? It's a lifestyle at this point. I don't want to be a fatass again.
  6. Really wasn’t too overly impressed with Killen’s. Definitely better than Central TX in pearland but honestly if you can swing it, go to Truth in Houston.
  7. But…5 days ago… ???
  8. I wear sweatshirts when it's 100 degrees outside and have for the past few years.
  9. Everybody take notes. This guy gets it. So many people think a diet is temporary and just end up gaining the weight back after they’ve reached their goal. A diet is a temporary plan on what you are going to eat for the next two/three months. Making that “diet” a lifestyle requires a different mindset that helps you keep weight off for the long term. Congrats on your progress.
  10. The FEDs monetary policy is the main culprit in my opinion. Jerome Powell, along with Janet fucking Yellen are to blame the most by not raising interest rates sooner. Libs will say the FED is an independent regulator but it’s all bullshit. The White House uses the FED as an extension of the executive branch to regulate monetary policy through the treasury secretary. Interest rates need to be a fuckton higher than what they are now to curtail consumer spending.
  11. It’s fun to see lifts steadily going up again. Eating more definitely has its benefits. I don’t feel like I’m running on empty at the gym any longer. I eat a meal prior to working out (about an hour) then eat another meal right after lifting. Even though it’s just chicken and rice, it still helps me stay satiated throughout the day. I’m eating a pound of chicken and around a pound of cooked brown rice per day, fruit and protein for breakfast, and dinner is typically a lean meat and starchy carb (potato for example). I only weigh myself one a week now. Haven’t gained any weight though. Probably just need to eat more. We will see what my weight is on Thursday.
  12. Pulled 280 today on DL. Felt good. Squat is around 275 and bench is at 235 or so.
  13. I imagine he’d be even more pissed if he had to watch what the fans have watched the last 10 years…
  14. Keller’s #5, #9, and tots. Slams.
  15. Today was my last day. Feels like I can finally breathe again.
  16. 5x5 is also a great program for folks who are considered beginners. This also requires a barbell and squat rack.
  17. Wordle 319 1/6 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Well looky there
  18. I do Brook's Brothers. Costco also has pants sometimes. I've picked up some Tommy H. flatfronts there.
  19. Do you even leg day, bro? In all seriousness, I 100% agree. I tell my mom (who is 63) to just work on power body mainly. Squats, modified deadlifts, lunges, etc. Core strengthening exercises are best as we age. However, it's always quite humorous to see the guys in the gym that have massive upper bodies and twigs as legs. I hit 275 on squat. Solidly working towards the goal of a 315 squat by the end of the summer.
  20. I’ve got a traeger and put a 15 pound brisket on at 7 am at 250. Wrapped it at noon when the bark was set (probed after wrapping in butcher paper and it was 170). Pulled it at 2:30 at 203. Let it rest for 2 hours on the stove until the temp hit 165 or so then threw it in a cooler. Sliced it at 6:30 and it was the best brisket I’ve done on that grill. It was a choice brisket from HEB and it was more juicy than the prime I buy at Costco.
  21. Oh yeah, I agree. I’m really going to mainly focus on strength and gaining a few pounds over the summer. When football season hits and it starts to cool off, I’ll start running more and scaling back the strengthening plan. I’ll still lift, but running will take priority. Throughout the summer, I’ll be running probably twice a week or so. Nothing huge in terms of distance just because of the heat.
  22. I'm going to be upping my calorie intake by adding another meal. Macro goal is 40/40/20 protein/carb/fat and going to try and hit 2,500 calories/day and keep it consistent over the next two weeks to see where I'm weighing middle of May. I'd like to put on some weight over the summer and bring my lifts up. Got a half marathon to train for in the fall so I know my gym sessions will be lighter with my training for that going up. Goals (1RPM): Squat: 315 (currently 265), Bench: 265 (currently 245), Deadlift 350 (currently 195 - just started this a few weeks ago). Current weight is 178.
  23. Curious to why you stopped doing back squats
