  1. I still cannot believe we live in a country where people can get away with this type of projection. Republicans are traitors.
  2. I understand the frustration. Now right wing grifters are amplifying the Katie Porter clips, feigning shock and disgust. There are other D candidates there. It's fine. I think it's better to hold the line and be consistent on unacceptable behavior.
  3. Glad Mickelson took that Saudi blood money, made it easier to root against a total scumbag.
  4. If I was watching political content, it's one thing. MAGA/Trump invading sports podcasts is absolutely trying to normalize their cruelty.
  5. Very cool to turn on Coffee & Football this morning and the first YouTube ad starts with "Hi, this is Kristi Noem. If you are an illegal in America, this runway is your home." with video of a military plane taking off. How quickly this fucking bullshit has been normalized.
  6. Jabari looks a bit bigger/stronger. Positive sign. I think it's all about confidence with Reed Shepard. He needs to embrace his larger role this season and never give it back. It's awesome to have Capela back and he looks like a great fit already.
  7. Feel bad for the players, but overall very happy to see this flame out spectacularly.
  8. Oppo teams are releasing the hounds.
  9. Look, I've already picked my song for the dance party playllst when Trump is gone. There is joy and hope waiting to be released under all this legitimate worry and concern for America.
  10. Of course.
  11. It is very fitting that the murder of a right wing grifter did create a "movement", it just ended up being the continuation of right wring grifting. Charlie Kirk the savior, prophet, leader...was really just a fart in the wind. People on the right are so insincere they can't even pretend to care for long.
  12. It would not surprise me years from now that we find out Stephen Miller was the puppet master behind all of Trump's fascist policy decisions. That he is the Grima Wormtongue in the "meetings" with DJT. Trump is a piece of shit narcissist that doesn't really care about anyone or anything besides himself. His bootlickers are spineless cowards. But Stephen Miller is a legitimate, dangerous psychopath. Everyone should know who he is.
  13. This should be a big story, and there are 5+ things daily that the Trump administration does that would be national headlines 15 years ago We are so, so fucked.
  14. My read on that video clip: The interviewer is a trollish idiot, and Katie Porter is completely unprofessional. Bad look for both, worse for Katie Porter. Huge red flag.
  15. Holy shit. That was fucking weird and he gave the game way. Too bad no one will care.
  16. And the comedy podcasting craze is horrible. Dozens, if not hundreds, of these guys are putting out hours and hours of content/interviews weekly. Comedians are weird, neurotic, and generally live in their own bubble of grievance and misery. And now they have a large audience of young men that listen to their takes on politics, world affairs, race, gender, "woke", free speech, etc. Dark days.
  17. I like what I've seen out of Simon too. Him and Gibson not getting a single touch was weird when it was clear Wisner wouldn't be effective.
  18. In this day and age, the vast majority of coaches are not gonna give you the blunt sound bites that make you feel better. Particularly Sark. He runs a tight ship and wants to keep things in-house as much as possible. Nothing should make us feel better anyways besides a better and improved product on the field.
  19. People calling for Caldwell have lost their goddamn minds. It is so incomprehensibly stupid and short sighted. Take a deep breath.
  20. Thinking we are now in a transition year isn't an excuse. I think it's become the reality. Before the year started, I thought we were championship contenders, but even then I thought 2026 squad would be a better team. You lose Ant Hill, Taaffe, probably Muhammad, but tons of talent returns. Offensively Arch would be in his second year as a starter with very few important pieces on that side heading to the NFL draft. Our OL is a disaster, Arch needs more time to blossom than we thought, RB room is deep but so far lacking anyone with real juice that can overcome poor or questionable OL play.
  21. Nice post. The problem with Ezra Klein's pragmatic strategy is that he's already 5 years behind the times. A presidential primary candidate tried it in 2020: Pete Buttigieg. Medicare For All "Who Want It", clear and welcoming to all communication, trying to appeal to old school conservatives. I think Pete is more progressive than he lets on and just doesn't want to scare anyone away. Even as Transportation Secretary, he listened to the hardcore progressives and started enacting some of their policy suggestions in the last half of his term, to the point where Pete critics like Zephyr Teachout publicly applauded his work. Unfortunately, I think we are past the point of someone like Buttigieg winning. 1. it takes a ton skill and discipline and 2. voters don't have the patience for it anymore. The country has gone to complete shit in the last 5 years and people are understandably freaking out.
  22. Anyone flipping out about Arch’s play yesterday clearly didn’t recalibrate their expectations enough after the UTEP game. Warts and all, that was his second best performance this season. He made some bad decisions/throws, but also did a great job many times of avoiding pressure and stepping up in the pocket. RBs had 15 yards and we didn’t have a LG. He’s got a lot of work to do but there is more potential with him than anyone else on offense at this point.
  23. Calm down. We got our asses whipped and Sark has completely misread and mismanaged this season so far. But the problems are undeniable now and I expect some positive changes from the staff moving forward.
  24. I'm not happy about it or making excuses, but I think we just need to accept that is a transition year for Texas. Losing all that experience from last year's OL is clearly too much to overcome. Arch and Quinn are basically opposites with their QB strengths/skills and Sark's offense looks completely different. The transition has been rough and it's gonna take some time. I think Arch will be good but gonna take longer than we hoped and expected. Create a competition at RB to find out who can be the man next year. If no one breaks out by the end of the season than get a stud in the portal.
