  1. See if Barbara Puett is still teaching at Barton. She has taught for like 50 years and would be an excellent hour or two to figure htis out.
  2. and if they really like their "12th Man" coming out of the stands than they aren't going to like that Auburn literally did that in 1990. Redshirt freshman RB was told he was not going to play in opener and he was sitting in the stands when they paged him at halftime. He suited up and had several carries in second half. https://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/fl-xpm-1990-09-12-9002130697-story.html
  3. John posted it on the other forum - his reply Recipe - you pay me the money and I give you the squash.....
  4. More serious reply. Doesn't matter. Just be conformable. Also Sierra Trading post online has a lot of decent stuff for good prices
  5. This makes it complicated. Mom has a speaker bar but wants another speaker near the chair. I can't do a receiver because of space. It's regular cable so no Apple TV stuff etc. It cannot have a separate control. She has one remote and likes it. I can run wire in place of the sound bar if I have to. Ideas?
  6. This was the hardest hit I ever saw and one of the worst calls ever. OU/Nebraska. The Nebraska guy get a 40 yard sprint and destroys Kelly Phelps. You can see his back bow out it shape of a helmet. The worst call is they said it wasn't a fumble - forward progress had stopped. The forward progress part was correct. Got to the 1:25 mark to start
  7. Well NIL pretty much allows this now
  8. You ought to hit DV if for nothing else but the environment. I haven't been in a few years but it was always my favorite because they limited the lift line and the surroundings were beyond first class. Not that I was a food critic but lunch was always much better than a burger on a paper plate.
  9. You said he hired Sexton - good luck
  10. Saw a Santa on top of a local grocery store this afternoon and was thinking of that classic
  11. Copilot is looking like "quit taking pictures and let's go!"
  12. My only "1" was never seen by anyone. We were playing night golf and none of us saw it go in. We literally were looking around the back of the green when someone decided to look in the cup.
  13. Back when I skiied a lot I never took my own skiis before Christmas. Just rent em with damage waiver.
  14. As an old Chemical Engineer I am glad Auburn changed the courses. Now the last course is Organic. I had to take a year of Physical Chemistry after Organic. The department head had the incorrect view that every one of us was going to go for a PhD.
  15. On the electrical question but I priced this on my house back in Alabama. it was about 6K because the original box is 40 plus years old and they have to get some of the wires coming out of it up to code when they move it. Not cheap. Hopefully your house is not 40-50 years old with wiring that came with it
  16. All I can say is to avoid that era Lincolns that are convertibles. Apparently the power top has multiple motors and other parts that all have to work together or you get a top stuck up in the air like a sail. And there are very few people left who understand how to fix the issues
  17. Not to pile on but this is a good reason to discuss the word "backup" with him and others. And keeping the backup somewhere else like a fire safe. The real question is how much stuff does he have that is not replaceable. Depending on how email was set up - it may all be saved on the server of the provider. The photo albums of the grandkids may be replaceable if he sent copies to someone. I would not pay money until I figured out what was encrypted. Also there is no honor here - they may not send the key to decrypt.
  18. How about Miami Vice. Maybe every week for the first couple of years. This one still rocks. Love the relfections of traffic lights on a black hood.
  19. First glance I thought the roof actually was seating and deiced the architect was insane. Never mind.
  20. I said it before - it is only about an hour detour to play Grand National at Auburn versus Ross Bridge. Both are part of the Trent Jones Golf Trail. I love Grand National way more than Ross Bridge but if I had the time I would play both
  21. Remember some of these are the same ones that booked 4 Seasons Landscaping.
  22. Ran into a tournament in 90's at the course I belonged to in Mississippi. Playing a quick 18 and finishing near dinner and I notice on 18 that it's insane. People zooming all over and others running into fairway. Played anyhow and the second shot to the green had all sorts of crap with people yelling and carts whizzing by. Still consider the approach shot one of my best ever. Suddenly it dawned on the clowns that I was not in the tournament. A few apologies etc from the drunken masses. The real kicker was that this was the state District Attorney tournament and half of the legal talent was there. Semi seriously though of getting the state police to set up a DUI roadblock on the one highway back to town.
  23. Just to get the thread back to classic cars. Here's 3 in one picture. I really liked the color of the Camaro but I think it was a one year wonder and not very popular since I think I have only seen 2 or 3 since. Hard to see in picture but it was light beige not white. Dad bought it used and i swear it must have been bought originally by Hertz. Neutral color, small v8 but vinyl top. Inside pointed out that you could order cars back then with "odd" options. It had something like AC, power locks but manual windows, shifter was on the column and white vinyl seats.
  24. Only someone who has owned one would recognize the rear end of the black car as a Corvair. Spare tire over the engine was a unique design feature
