  1. We already have a template for the old Big 12 teams with what happened with SMU and Rice, as well as Houston and TCU before they got promoted. They are going to hit my radar at only the very farthest reaches. So fired up to move Baylor and to a lesser extent Tech into this category. I’m not super pumped about the SEC in general but the change itself is exciting. You’d have to be a fairly casual fan to have not followed that conference over the past 15 years. Now that we’re a part of it, I’m definitely going to be more interested in the lesser games knowing that some of those teams are going to hit the schedule.
  2. Gotta give him props for the consistency from the ft line.
  3. This one against the Spurs was an all timer. I saw it live from another angle, and it may have been even more impressive.
  4. Maybe they should switch Flood to coaching the safties? WRT Blackshire... PK has shown a proclivity (moreso at UW than here so far) for taking non-traditional LB/DE/EDGE body types and skillsets and finding a niche role for them. I have no clue what that would be for Blackshire, but certainly/hopefully they have something in mind more than, "he looks good in the team photo and has a good attitude." Also, how much history does this staff really have with him? Sark and crew were already at Texas when he enrolled at Alabama, I believe.
  5. I’m sure Denver is going to get their shit together and put the game away in the fourth but this has been fun to watch so far. Wemby with 19 8 6 and 6 so far.
  6. I haven't seen Sears on any mock and I've been watching this crap in an almost unhealthy way since it became obvious the Spurs were in a race to the bottom. I was about to go on a rant about how terrible Kevin O'Connor has become with his never ending quest to be either: a) contrarian or b) generally recognized as a huge dumbass. But in this draft... who the fuck knows? I don't believe it's going to be the worst draft ever, though. There are some players here. It's just that there are question marks everywhere.
  7. I agree about digging the nostalgia part. I just thought it made little sense to build up the big bad so much throughout the film, and then dispatch him so easily. From a nostalgia standpoint, they also infused so much more humor into the actual ghostbusting in the originals. There would be no easier way to hit more nostalgia notes than drawing out the battle, create some sort of humorous aspect to the ghost, increase the stakes, infuse some one liners, and then bust his ass. I usually roll my eyes at all the CGI crap mega battles in comic book movies, but this just felt so perfunctory.
  8. It's like Aggie version of fight club. The first rule of Aggie practice reporting is that nobody can tell you what the rules are. From the outside looking in, you can't understand the rules. From the inside looking out, you can't explain them. These morons thought Jimbo "got" A&M, but the Elk really gets A&M.
  9. I really dig this show, but there are a couple of things that annoy me: 1. Why does every single character have to have a love interest? They almost lost me midway through the season with all the relationship crap. And the gratuitous gay sex scene seemed like it served no purpose other than to have a gay sex scene. More Yakuza, less chick flick would put this thing over the top. 2. Samantha. It's like they wrote her up with sole purpose of creating a character that makes every wrong decision possible.
  10. It was better than I thought it was going to be, which was awful. So it’s not terrible but I thought they dropped the ball at the end in the climactic fight. You go through the whole movie building up to it and then it was almost an afterthought.
  11. I don’t think you can get the stench out of that one weird bathroom where you have to walk downstairs to get there for less than $200 million. Somebody underbid the hell out of this.
  12. 1-7 from three and he drills that. Hilarious.
  13. It's like that Johnny Cash movie but if June had downs syndrome and was the world's biggest asshole.
  14. Anybody think Sochan finds himself wide ass open at the three point line and thinks, “Man I’m moving so well without the ball I totally shook my guy. They can’t hang with me.”
  15. I’m not sure how you’re even in a game where you shoot 7/38 from three.
  16. Toronto's pick would also roll over to 2026 if it doesn't convey next year. So, the Spurs have three cracks at it before it moves to two SRP. From a talent standpoint, there will certainly be a better field of prospects next year. But who's to say where that pick ends up? You balance out the chance that it never conveys vs. the chance that it conveys later in the draft vs the talent available wherever the pick ends up falling. It's obviously a crapshoot either way. For the purposes of roster balance, it's better if it conveys now. Because if it doesn't, the Spurs could be looking at four FRP next draft. Barring trades they will for sure have their own and Atlanta's. Then possibly Toronto's (top 6 protected) and Chicago's (top 10 protected), plus 3 SRP. They are already facing a glut of young players who need time in the incubator, and not enough playing time and roster spots for them. That was a long winded way to say, who the fuck knows? I have no faith in the this front office getting the draft right, so I think the more shots on goal they have, the better the chance is that they fall as backwards into a player. So, put me in the camp of it's better to convey this year, even with the shitty talent pool. They just have to get lucky on one guy, not the entire draft and being lucky is what this franchise does best.
  17. It's a small price to pay to be able to know when the other games start play back up after a timeout and it's time to switch the channel.
  18. The one time James Harden decides to play defense it's against his own teammate.
  19. He didn’t play hardly at all. It’s one thing to come off the bench on a veteran team and I know he’s been dealing with multiple injuries but it’s really peculiar.
  20. Michael Jordan was a geography major. Could be an entry to the NBA.
  21. Check out Jalen Green hitting his stride right before becoming eligible for a contract extension this offseason. What are the Rockets supposed to do with him? He's looked like everything from a complete bust to a budding superstar.
