  1. From what I understand about the situation, it actually went about as wrong and worse as it could physically and potentially go-- a one stab death. I read on here that is a low probability worse case scenario.
  2. With chainsaw tripling down on legal definitions to try and be right, it’s only getting funnier.
  3. It seems like people who have first-hand and recent and relevant experience are trying to educate you and others who might be 200 miles away on how it is in Frisco and whether it resonates with your experience or not shouldn't matter.
  4. I read that Karmelo had a GoFundMe hit $140k (but got pulled because of a violation of T's and C's from gofundme). Seems like a lot of folks feeling for him and his family. I think this story is just getting started as far as the "discourse". And Jimmy's lived experience of going to track meets wherever he is from is real and honest, I'm sure. It also has about as much relevance to a Frisco track meet as the price of tea in china. Not sure why he's dying on that hill.
  5. I've heard this is fake market rumors, tariffs still full staem ahead?
  6. If memory serves, baba yaga is a Frisco resident with kids which makes sense he would have more inside scoop than a DINK IP lawyer in Hutto. I suspect twocehorn just gets interested in all matters of the law out of an intellectual curiosity. But be warned about all the “information” going around as rumors and gossip take on a life of their own. Heck, I’m Frisco adjacent in that my oldest grandson (Prosper High) had a track meet at that stadium literally the next day and anything south of Eldorado is considered basically downtown Dallas for all intents and purposes, and there are still gossip and rumors going around which strike me as absurd, like it was their community.
  7. What is still unknown which I imagine will be worked out soon, is why did the kid have a knife at a track meet. That might or might not mean premeditation depending on how that question is settled.
  8. Does your 15 year old still think that? Seems like he would be the only 15 year old to not see it this weekend. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/minecraft-movie-box-office-record-opening-1236182874/ Box Office: ‘A Minecraft Movie’ Strikes Gold With Record-Shattering $157M U.S. Launch, $301M Globally Warner Bros.’ kid-friendly movie blew past all expectations to score the top start ever for a video game adaptation, as well as rouse the beleaguered box office back to life.
  9. Generally speaking we should all be suspicious of “social media news”: https://www.dallasnews.com/news/crime/2025/04/02/what-we-know-about-the-frisco-track-meet-stabbing/
  10. What are you on about? The Stros guy posted two things that I saw 1) calling out your post rightfully so as garbage speculation and everything that’s wrong with social media and 2) a link to a news media report (wfaa Dallas). I guess I don’t understand the motivation to post obviously badly biased and disinformation at this point of what we know.
  11. I’ve read it described as Rocky Horror Picture show for teen nerd boys. Still boggles the mind that analysts didn’t realize the power of Minecraft, YouTube and boys and how that would translate to a smash hit.
  12. This aligns? This sounds like someone took the initial reports and eyewitness statements (a phone was taken, broken after being told to leave) combined with some probably true personality characteristics (kid could generally be a bully) and then throws Wild speculation gasoline on the fire (racial slurs and bullying the kid systematically for weeks) The only things being reported were they didn’t know each other and it was their first run-in (which makes sense from a smell test considering they go to cross-town high schools) and zero eye witness or reporting has ever mentioned racial slurs or racism. The wild social media speculation is unmoored from the rational speculation based on a cocktail of actual reporting and first/hand second hand accounts.
  13. But some things are clearly more speculative and ridiculous than other things. And motowns was wildly almost irresponsibly so.
  14. Seeing it again today my one observation is that the theatre has been a nerdfest. Bunch of nerdy old dudes like me and nerdy preteens, kids and grandkids. Theatre is overrun with nerds unseen since when MCU was fresh.
  15. Sounds like complete speculation and even fabrication if the initial report is true that the twins (bully or not) had never seen or interacted with Karmelo (from another h.s.) before they got into an initial verbal and/or physical altercation. Referring to the competing narrative that they systematically bullied him and broke his phone weeks prior, etc.
  16. Never underestimate a people’s ability to miss a layup, I know, I know.
  17. This is the best opportunity for the Dems to wrest power and keep it. The economy is falling off a cliff and unlikely to bounce back before 2026. All you have to do is not throw an interception when you can run the clock out by kneeling.
  18. If you didn’t have an 8-13 year old boy in your life during the technoblade death, it’s hard to explain.
  19. ‘Minecraft’ Will Double Its Box Office Projections, May Pass Mario https://www.forbes.com/sites/paultassi/2025/04/05/minecraft-will-double-its-box-office-projections-may-pass-mario/
  20. Congrats on the internal move and finding a job-- any port in a storm. But, word to the wise, I'd keep interviewing and looking externally because being a Federal Seller probably ain't gonna be that great for the next few years with DOGE, severe cost cutting, an administration that doesn't value investment, contracts, software or professional services, etc. Read today Deloitte is cutting from their Federal teams. I know most PubSec and Fed sellers I know are sweating it.
  21. SIAP:
  22. Make sure to add actual relevant and quantifiable, actionable contributions you've made that you can tell a story about. And most importantly make sure to include your favorite dead comedian.
  23. I can beat that. My BONUS for 2024 is high 5 figures of RSU's. They are priced from an average of months ago. So I'm immediately 40% underwater on them when I recieved them yesterday and my Bonus was severely NERF'ed in the short term.
  24. You only had like 175k in your 401k? What are you, a child under 30? Just kidding, I hope it will come back quickly for all of us who have lost a ton of money.
  25. I'm not saying you do, but what I've noticed IRL/real life convos, a ton of people either have forgotton or not realized just how elite Kawhi's defense was in his peak too. He was a monster on offense and equally beastly on D. It really was fun to watch (I get that a lot of Spurs fans had a well earned bias and might not feel the same way).
