  1. He’s not wrong, but maybe people aren’t biting on the eye candy as much as they used to. Teams have always played us deep. Sark is also being nice to Quinn publically to protect his mental state. If Quinn shuts down mentally, the season could tank.
  2. It’s much more nuanced than that these days, but it can definitely help in creating some built in advantages
  3. Ryan Bucjevski, Dickson's lil bro.
  4. Have you personally tried them both? Just kidding Georgia has much better talent on the OL than we do, and they usually have a run first offense. Their run production really isn't that great though.
  5. Brian Daboll is on the Texas staff? Sark never coached Jalen Hurts outside of the one national title game loss to Clemson
  6. @Thatguy The plays you chose were certainly ones where other guys were failing more than Quinn. The main argument is that Quinn isn’t a playmaker nor a leader. Is he helping lead the offense or is he just taking it as it goes? When things break down as often as they are clearly doing so, what is he doing to help the situation? What about the plays where he rushes a throw into coverage when he could have extended the play for a positive outcome? Making teams defend our guys for a longer period of time works heavily in our favor.
  7. Sark knows that Quinn failing here as a QB will reflect poorly on his QB development record. We really needed Quinn when we got him and he helped us accelerate the program’s perception. He is also currently one of the aspects holding his team back from ascending even further. Tough situation. Hope he gets his head out of ass and gets drafted day 1 or 2
  8. Quinn's pocket presence was slightly better yesterday, but he still gets jittery when it isn't clean for him. He clearly was thinking about stepping up into the pocket more this game, which he did more often than not. He had a few opportunities to move to the right and extend the play that he failed to do because he was probably just looking to step up in the pocket. He can throw the ball well enough in general, but becomes gets average to below average when asked to do things outside of the structure of the offense.
  9. Not the thread for this convo, but their OL is coming together. Reed isn't as good as LSU made him look, but he's probably better than Weigman. The DL is very very good.
  10. Clear targeting. Brain dead play by #45 there.
  11. Our running backs aren’t doing our guys much help, but the OL should be mauling these guys.
  12. Seeing Hudson Card with a well-thrown ball percentage around 90 invalidates the whole thing. His game is ass incarnate.
  13. He enrolled early, he's just not ready to contribute yet.
  14. The standard is the standard. We celebrate Quinn for his contributions to Longhorn Nation. He could also become a victim of its restored expectations. Much like we got rid of Mack for failing to live up to the standards he helped to set. Hopefully he realizes that there is no future to save himself for if he doesn’t put it all out there for the rest of the season.
  15. You are severely underestimating our opponents if you think that version of Quinn is good enough to win this weekend, at Arkansas, or at A&M. Shit, Florida would be a dogfight. It’s not fair to everyone else on this team to ask them to carry him the rest of the way either. This isn’t a Conner vs Neto situation. We have an stronger idea of what Arch provides the offense.
  16. I’ve rewatched it twice now and even went through the Georgia homer’s film review because apparently I’m a glutton for punishment. It isn’t kind to Quinn at all. I hope he shows who he’s gonna be for the rest of the year against Vandy because this Jekyll and Hyde shit from him will get us beat again.
  17. With Quinn: 10-3 With Arch: 16-1 and a natty Go Horns!
  18. The running game could find more space to operate with Arch’s legs and better deep ball to account for. But you are right about us lacking an elite run game.
  19. Clemson got it done with true freshman Trevor Lawrence.
  20. He threw a ball to Helm where he stepped into the throw. It was only a 5 yard gain, but it was a decisive throw.
  21. On rewatch, the OL wasn’t that bad. There were multiple opportunities to get the ball out and he just didn’t pull the trigger. Arch looked more decisive, even if he wasn’t picking the best option on a given play. Cam and DJ Campbell had the worst games of the group
  22. Quinn threw bad picks against CSU and UTSA. And we all know he can help pressure find its way home. The biggest difference here is, there are no more training wheels for this guy. His potential doesn’t matter anymore, if he can’t get it done against Vandy, Arch will. Then Arch will be QB1 going into the bye.
  23. The biggest reason why people are blaming Quinn is because of where he should be as a QB at this point in his development. He looked indecisive, rattled, and unaware like this was his first year in the offense.
  24. Or they come out feeling the pressure of playing with increased expectations instead of playing spoiler
  25. @Burt Macklin Quinn didn’t play against MSU
