  1. Unless its a super hot nympho secretary who lusts after my manhood, the split second someone shows up to work buck naked I'm out the door.
  2. I am broadly convinced that at least 80% of the population will immediately spend every nickel they have and are advanced in credit. 50% of those people are because they are catastrophically stupid and the other 50% don't have a choice(poor). in other words, 60% of the time it works every time.
  3. I agree with the sentiment on some cash. 4%plus probably beats inflation over the next 5 years. You might want to consider some medium term CD's or t-bills. If its good enough for Warren...
  4. Disagree a bit with the consensus that its only fast food that's pinching Americans. I mean using the most popular/common loss leader in retail(rotisserie chicken) as proof positive of food costs not being so bad is pretty fucking dumb. All raw meat(beef, chicken, pork) is still absurdly high priced vs. 4 years ago.
  5. sounds like dirt is more expensive, so perhaps the phrase should be "shit cheap"?
  6. what's the mechanism to get back into the market? intestinal fortitude? Obviously the risk with that strategy is a failure to get back in.
  7. for @Royalfan5 I believe some vegetables are rinsed or sprayed with sanitizers(diluted chlorines solutions?) when processed/packaged. Is that allowed with organic? **edit Google is my friend. Obviously a huge rabbit hole here. https://hgic.clemson.edu/factsheet/farm-food-safety-choosing-a-sanitizer-for-washing-fresh-produce/
  8. so probably some fuck up in the fields vs processing. interesting.
  9. Makes sense. So I assume the McDonalds onion situation was then probably an equipment sanitation issue, or some "organic" onions were used when that isn't the specification/marketing of a Quarter Pounder.
  10. you can't pasteurizes RAW vegetables. Take your CR crap to the CR. Christ.
  11. well it is Ecoli so...yeah. but I wonder if its a processing breakdown, more shit being distributed in fields or better detection by authorities(or combo of some/all)
  12. Pretty sure the Onion Ecoli issue was mentioned in this thread previously and didn't think it should be a new thread. Now carrots https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/food/2024/11/18/e-coli-cases-outbreak-carrots/76399934007/ So WTF has broken down in harvesting/processing/cleaning of vegetables?
  13. It’s an industry term
  14. Thing is it felt like at least 10 hrs…. a great value on words… words…. my god, so many words.
  15. I opted for Brisket’s 3 hr symposium on everything is fucked. mistakes were made.
  16. I’m with this. full disclaimer: I know about zero in regards to Russian military strength other than their failures in this invasion.
  17. that's got to be MT, UT or ID
