  1. I am rooting for fireworks. I want to hear Chris Fowler losing his shit over the lack of respect for the game. Nick yawning in the hall is on brand.
  2. The doubles final is outstanding. The Croatian pair are out of this world good.
  3. I don’t know that I’ve seen a CEO receive this level of fandom since Jack Welch (or maybe Ross Perot). His adulation is just bizarre as shit.
  4. So where is the evidence? That is a statement by Musk. I’m sure you saw data that proved they were full of shit, right?
  5. Please show your work. I haven’t seen any of this data showing Twitter was “full of shit”. I think we found an Elon adept here.
  6. I’ve made a terrible mistake.gif haha hopefully Twitter takes his billion and then goes bankrupt.
  7. I don’t think that’s the consensus at all (that the economy is bad). I think there is a well justified fear that inflation may cause an overreaction in interest rates and tightening, but I’ve not seen anyone serious claim we’re in anything but a technical recession (output shrinking due to gdp). I do think home buying will be the first indicator of a real slowdown. If we see big drops in home prices then I’ll be worried.
  8. Uh isn’t that Twitter? Linkedin is there for bosses to see when their employees are going to quit.
  9. Furk. I wish he would have withdrawn while playing Fritz… damn now it’s basically meteor time for the final.
  10. Forgot to add this: plumbing code states that you should have a customer side PRV with that service pressure. So it could be that it’s either not working or not present. We don’t like systems with 100 psi static pressures because you can easily start seeing leaks develop at weak points in older connections. On a new main 100 psi is no big deal though, it all depends on the location.
  11. I did like her little boobies hanging freely.
  12. Oh hai. Water pressure is interesting because except in very special circumstances temperature is just about irrelevant. It can affect what are called hydro pneumatic systems because the air water interface actually affects the absorption of oxygen and can interfere with the operation of the pressure maintenance (using compressed air). Most large systems are pressurized using gravity from tanks, with smaller ones relying on either variable frequency drive pumps or hydro systems. In any case, you can expect about a 10 psi maximum variation in pressure. Anything above 80 is bad for fixtures and anything under 35 will be noticeably weaker. If you get less than 20 you are boiling that water. Unless the pressure is causing you concern about a fixture I wouldn’t worry about it.
  13. I thought you were exaggerating. I just watched a few games of 4.5 to 5.0 women’s tennis. High level rec league. Wow.
  14. 59 dead. I call that a Wednesday afternoon.
  15. Well it’s official as of yesterday, got the keys to the new house in Pacific Grove, California. Shout out to @Gil Bang who referred me through a friend to a local mortgage banker in Santa Cruz that was nails. We closed in something like 25 days. Back into debt slavery of a sort but man, it is an awesome place. I doubt I’ll ever move again but I don’t know the future. I am a happy man right now with the combination of great weather, small town life, and small house with no carpets (ever again). Oh and no bugs here, as long as you don’t count termites which are apparently everywhere.
  16. She lost. Shame. But if dickweed Djoker loses it’s all good. Especially to a redhead who looks to weigh about a Buck forty.
  17. If fat jabber doesn’t win this wide open opportunity I don’t think she’ll get another one. Halep is really good when she’s on but she seems to retire a lot. I want the German beef to win. Niemeier? I like her game. Fritz looked good today. But I don’t think anyone is beating Novax. He’s on a mission and seems like he needs to drop one or two sets to get mad and go apeshit on whoever he is playing. I think he had no unforced errors in the last two sets yesterday.
  18. My sister is in Greenwood Village and honestly although it is a super nice house and neighborhood it’s not a nice looking area. I like the western side of town better especially evergreen or toward Boulder. But she has a nice condo in Vail/Beaver Creek so the trade is worth it to her. Schools are ready good in that area too, from what I’ve heard.
  19. Sonego is kind of a bitch. The grunting way after he hits it is bullshit but you could tell Rafa just wanted to change the momentum back. And I alternate between irritation and admiration for Kyrgios. The guy has so much talent but he is a total head case. He thrives in chaos. Tsitsi is just about the worst possible fit for that guy as he is easily rattled. He actually did hit Kyrgios once. Fowler needs to STfU about respect for the game though.
  20. I agree except in very specific vacation oriented markets. There, unoccupied vacation homes can be a reasonable value proposition, because the cost is sunk already. But as a straight up investment I think it’s not going to paper long term.
  21. Ask me about my sore butthole. I’ve been dollar cost averaging this turd all the way. If it ever takes off I’ll be mildly surprised and very happy.
  22. If they can’t find people does it matter why? I guess other than opening up immigration or getting some olds back in the workforce I’m wondering where Mickey D and Walmart will find the workers, much less the dishwashing staff at the restaurant.
  23. One of the weirdest recessionary periods I’ve ever experienced. I wasn’t around for the 70s except as a kid wearing terrible Astros tshirts though. Housing market still nuts, no one can find construction materials, cars flying off lots, and low unemployment… where is the contraction happening?
