  1. If his tweets are moving the needle I’d be a little puckered up. Because it can go the other way too.
  2. Well put. We need a real apprenticeship program and we’re failing kids who have no business going to any college by pushing them there. Back to inflation. I think we’re going to see another wave before things start decelerating because my feeling is the Fed wants to show this down faster but hasn’t done enough. A lot of home builders starting to shut down deals now . They think this could last 18 months from the ones I’ve been talking to.
  3. Let me know how that works out for you. I’d like to see people do what they claim sometimes. I’m paying cash for my daughter’s education because I guess I’m a sucker. Edit: yeah this move is pandering bullshit and inflationary. It’s also bullshit for any PPP recipients who had their loan forgiven to complain about it. I didn’t benefit from either one.
  4. The craziest thing about this movement is that the American public school system was once considered a model. I grew up overseas and American schools, set up for expat businessmen and diplomats, were the most prestigious schools, and were modeled on public schools here with sports and extra curricular activities, plus a strong English based curriculum. Now we have it being set on fire in front of us. It’s strange that groups like Eanes Kids First are so anti teacher because you would think that they understand without them the school is a shell. But I don’t think these are rational actors.
  5. I may get back on the U coaster at the right time. I’ve been swing trading EOSE, trying to buy under 2 and selling whenever it goes over 2.5. That stock has so much downward pressure from shorts it’s scary.
  6. Y’all are getting trolled so hard… CR and all but come on.
  7. Freedom of speech didn’t mean freedom from consequences.
  8. Yes? Everything is transitory on a long enough timeline. Which I suspect will change some November in the future…
  9. I know but I was participating in the spirit of the thread. Send me a fuck you back if it hurt your fucking feelings, or don’t.
  10. Raises hand in IBRX…. Bed Bath and beyond now looking at restructuring so I think the people who got out are the only ones who will “win”. Hiring a restructuring law firm is usually step one.
  11. Oh no the price of bimmerz is about to get out of control. Germany is reaping the rewards of sowing no nukes, no coal, and bending over for Russia for twenty years. Tough titty.
  12. Except GEO which is prison stock. Very interesting.
  13. Come on man stop that unamerican talk. That’s just theft by the gubmint. Honestly anyone who gets a high paid W-2 should be the most incensed by the current code. It absolutely hoses you by limiting SALT, limiting deductions, and favoring cap gains over ordinary income. So yeah anything to help me would be nice. But I’m planning on pulling my escape chute and moving over to 1099 and cap gains land soon. So I’m sure once I do the taxman will follow.
  14. And Empire manufacturing index is ugly as hell today. So maybe the recession is just getting started.
  15. Serious question, explain why Chinese monetary easing will fuck us? I think they’re trying to juice internal demand, but maybe there’s more to it?
  16. Every once in a while the perfect post comes along. Thanks for making my day. Luckily I don’t need that casket/smoker just yet.
  17. No the economy sucks you see? Way too many pay raises for lower income people is increasing the cost of business for the soul of America, the 50000 employee small business entrepreneur who only fears the IRS and inflation. But for those and regulations the money would rain. Yawn. This recession is the weirdest one I’ve seen. Stock market was down (not really a good economic indicator) inflation up, unemployment still down, wages up, and profits still generally up but under pressure from various factors. Other that higher interest rates pounding homebuyers and home builders who paid too much for land, I don’t see a ton of losers out there right now. There is still a question about how many people who left the workforce come back but that should sort itself out soon too.
  18. I agree. This rally doesn’t feel like it’s the last leg.
  19. They aren’t fiscal at all. They just want theirs. I just wish people would be honest instead of saying it is going to hurt poor people, the economy, small business, and every lemonade stand.
  20. Meh fuck tax evaders. I pay my fair share, usually high five digits, and I take it with a grumpy attitude but pay. I seethe at the motherfuckers who can game the system and Their cronies who enable them. I have no problem with the irs increasing enforcement.
  21. He is a sneaky bastard. He got to sell more TSLA at a pretty nice price (around 860) while making it appear to be under duress so there’s not a negative impact to the price. I admire his cleverness but man he is a trash person.
  22. Nope. Nevada has no density at all and no audits. I question the data in that one. And South Dakota needs to prepare their asshole.
