  1. That's pretty darn white but when I read your post I thought to myself, my friend's wife used to teach at Casis and his kids went there, and it's hard to imagine a more buttoned-up lily white bread elementary school than that place, so let's see how they stack up:
  2. I love L&L. The main drawback is, brisket's only available on weekends. It's not a problem for me, they have other great options and I'm typically going there on the weekend anyway. But for out-of-towners coming in on a Wednesday and wanting BBQ, it should at least be noted that they won't be able to buy brisket there, since brisket is the #1 staple in Texas BBQ.
  3. Yup, if Variety is a legit source: https://variety.com/2023/film/news/liv-tyler-captain-america-new-world-order-betty-ross-1235565730/ I hear this guy is looking for work in the MCU...
  4. Man, y'all go to much greater lengths than I do, for winterization. All I ever do is open low point drains, open water heater drain, open all faucets, and I do this at the end of my last trip before I expect a freeze so as I drive home, everything sloshes around and drains out. This sufficed for both Icepocalypse 2021 and 2023, as well as all other winters. ONCE, I lost the cartridge in one of the original faucets, which I assume I might have been able to save if I'd blown out all the lines. But it was a 30+ year old faucet and potentially would have blown up anyway. Yes I use an in-line RV water filter on the city water hose, buy them in pairs and change out at least once per season.
  5. You could replace the pressure switch housing, and you could also replace the carriage bolts. But the seals are the next thing that are going to age and fail. I'd just buy new and replace the whole thing. It's relatively cheap insurance as far as RV expenses go. Edit: And RV parts don't undergo a lot of innovation, but 24 years is enough time that the replacements available today, are probably better than what was originally installed. Then again, it could be identical...
  6. 3 or 4 times per year? Wow getting old sux. I'm definitely down to 3 or 4 times per week though.
  7. Yup, you can see the can of it in the bottom left of this pic: You definitely want a well ventilated area for this stuff, it is extremely potent. I stripped the Zolatone finish on the interior of my 1963 Airstream with it. I had the door off and all of the windows out, when I did that, and worked in small sections.
  8. I went the first year, it was more than enough NASCAR experience for me. I absolutely loathe the "staged" racing with stupid unnecessary restarts over and over. Also, SMI completely screwed up our PSL/VIP ticketing, spent dozens of minutes each day arguing with gate/access personnel about it. Finally by raceday they knew our faces so it got better.
  9. Nah, Lando v Stroll is the new Grosjean v Maldonado debate.
  10. Man, the F1 thread is starting to get salty AF. I hate the offseason... errr...
  11. I'm the one that went from 33s to 35s on our Wrangler Rubicon. It can take the width. (Although I did buy new wheels with more offset to clear the sway bars in the rear). Not sure about Gladeite, he just said they had NRG on his wife's SUV. If it's a standard SUV, I doubt they are running 35s.
  12. I will continue to call this town Waterloo.
  13. Michigan Spartans Florida Seminoles Georgia Yellowjackets North Carolina Wolfpack Oregon Beavers Washington Cougars
  14. No problems at all for us on the NRG in rains, they're at least 10x better than the M/T that were on the Jeep before. I suppose it's a matter of perspective.
  15. I enjoy hating on McLaren because that's what fans do with respect to their favorite team's rivals, but I actually liked Zak Brown and wanted to see him succeed. I don't know anything about operating a Formula 1 race team, so I have no idea how to assess where the problems lie, but something seems to be going very wrong there. I'm sure some of you guys that follow the teams' personnel and operational models more closely could shed some light, I just have no idea.
  16. I mean, in theory it should all simmer down and go away, since the ags have assured us that we'll be just another school in the SEC and will receive no special treatment, because the BIG BOYS like Alabama run that conference. But I'm sure they'll somehow twist that all around and ultimately decide that BECAUSE Texas is irrelevant, we are getting special treatment. From the outside, from the inside, etc.
  17. Yeah, I considered the opposite of what I ended up doing, as well, which would have been Nittos for the truck, and KO2s for the Jeep. Ultimately I decided to split them and see if I preferred one over the other. The truck and the Jeep aren't perfect analogs for one another, of course, but I'm still trying to run a bit of a test. So far I'm really pleased with both. They're both very quiet and smooth, good grip in both dry and rain. The Nittos look a little more aggressive and I really like that on the Jeep Wrangler, which has 17" wheels and I went to 35s on it, from the Rubicon stock 33s. So you get a lot of sidewall, a lot of rubber, and it looks great. Since the F150 is on 20" wheels, and there's a lot less sidewall, the contrast between the aggressive look of the Nitto and the slightly less agressive K02, isn't really all that noticeable. So I was okay with the BFG for this go-round. We'll see how they perform over time.
  18. So far, I don't notice any difference compared to the all-seasons. I just towed the RV all the way out to Big Bend and back, and it felt great. We just pulled a set of M/T off our Jeep, those were loud AF and a terrible ride. Put the Nitto Ridge Grapplers on it and it's night and day, that ride is now glorious.
