February 23, 2025Feb 23 He needs to retire and we need to find a real head coach. 33 minutes ago, Kermit said: I mean, he should. It sucks that he didn’t go out on his own terms, but Father Time comes for us all. Dude can still Red Auerbach it and be a Team President/Mascot. It kind of is his own terms if he is physically incapable of coaching the team anymore.
February 26, 2025Feb 26 I feel so bad for Steph Castle, having to ride the pine while this circus unfolds. If they’re going to suck, can’t they just play the rookie? Not if you’re Mitch.

Not if you’re Mitch. I've completely checked out. We'll see what they do in the offseason. I hope it isn't "run this dogshit back under Mitch" but I'm kind of expecting that that's what they do. We need Wemby to take a leap if we're being honest.
February 26, 2025Feb 26 9 hours ago, hornfan785 said: Yeah, Castle should be playing 30 minutes a night the rest of the season. At this point convince Fox to get the surgery he needs, play castle a little more, and tank the fuck outta the season. Sign Fox to long term and start figuring out who the next HC will be.
February 27, 2025Feb 27 I want Chris Paul off the team. I want Keldon Johnson off the team. I don't give a fuck if they keep Vassell or not. I want a real head coach. I want a real backup 5. I want Wemby healthy and to move past the blood clot issue and not look back. If we can get all of that this offseason I'll be ecstatic.
February 27, 2025Feb 27 Pop officially not returning this season, but "hoping to return to coaching in the future."

I'm sure he hopes to but reality is he doesn't need to. The team should encourage him not to so that way they can move forward and find their coach of the future.
February 28, 2025Feb 28 I just saw this - I was working all afternoon/evening. This is a problematic statement. I'm not a fan of this team's leadership and haven't been for some years now. It feels like we are a couple bad breaks away from a return to the dark ages.
March 1, 2025Mar 1 Agree totally. Kinda reminds me of his “Zach Collins is going to be the guy at center for us” comments at the end of the ‘22-‘23 season.
March 1, 2025Mar 1 He was never going to publicly shit on Mitch in an official statement. Behind closed doors though it's painfully obvious what needs to be done if Pop isn't returning, and there really should have been a better succession plan in place.
March 1, 2025Mar 1 Full stop Pops shouldn’t be allowed to return. Team should use his health as reason and let Pops retire because of medical reasons. It’s the best way for both sides. Hold a ceremony, bring back all the legends, and let the future begin. i love pops and grateful for his time but it’s been a long time coming now. Edited March 1, 2025Mar 1 by BurntOrange&White
March 2, 2025Mar 2 Watching them live, we are a piece and a year more of experience away imo. also Castle is a fucking beast!!! Edited March 2, 2025Mar 2 by D3zii

March 2, 2025Mar 2 I know we want a high draft pick but it feels really good to beat Memphis. I really hate losing to them.
March 2, 2025Mar 2 We beat the Grizz. Extend Mitch. 47 minutes ago, Mitch Cumsteen said: Castle is going to be such a stud. But they need to lose this game. Mitch get the picture.
March 2, 2025Mar 2 Sochan tonight - actually gets 30 minutes - goes 18/11/3 on 7/9 FG, 1/1 3P, 3/4 FT. Hey maybe put him in the fucking starting lineup. He's a top 50 defender in the NBA.
March 3, 2025Mar 3 Castle is so fucking good. Unfortunately, Thunder have way more guys that are really fucking good. But oh well, we should probably lose as many games as possible anyways.
March 3, 2025Mar 3 You know what’s not good, Devin’s shooting. Why can’t this motherfucker make a wide open shot?
March 3, 2025Mar 3 First time I've really watched SA this season. I really like their roster going forward. Wemby, Fox, and Castle are a very good core and then you add in all the draft picks. Sochan is good as well. (Maybe he's the core, maybe he's not.) Their long term upside if higher than Houston, quite frankly. Wemby and Fox would both be the best players on Houston's roster. Over the next five years or so, the West looks like it'll be OKC, SA, LAL, and maybe Houston. Denver will putter out in a few years and Dallas has maybe 2 years at best. Anyway, really like SA's future.

As a Mavs fan, I would trade your future for ours and throw in Davis and a protected ‘29
March 11, 2025Mar 11 Even a sad sack Mavs team can't deny the tank. Man I hope we have a decent coach next year.
March 11, 2025Mar 11 Why is Fox still playing games? Also just saw that Sochan didn't play. Explains how they found a way to lose against a shitty Mavs team. Maybe shut him down for the season too. 2 hours ago, gofuckyourself said: Man I hope we have a decent coach next year. I'm kind of done with this team until they show me something at this point. It's been six years since we made the playoffs. I get that Wemby got medically sidelined to close this season but they were playing garbage basketball leading up to that and would have been lucky to make the playoffs anyway. There is pretty clearly dysfunction in this org just not sure where the majority of it lies. We'll see if they figure something out in the offseason - because regardless of a full Wemby-recovery shit needs to change.
March 13, 2025Mar 13 Sochan plays. Mavs go down. 18/7/2 on 8/13 shooting - 0 turns in 24 mins. Can anyone tell me why he isn't starting? Fox near trip doub.

I don't know I'm pretty drunk and might be in love with this younger girl at work but it's this awkward situation where it's not super appropriate but I think we both really like each other and then I think I need to think a bit bigger and pick up a side gig or hustle or just commit a bit more. So - I don't know - I'm in this nebulous gray area kind of like Jeremy Sochan but the potential is there and I guess I just identify with the guy because he's eccentric and misunderstood but the talent is there.

Well. That certainly took a turn that I wasn't expecting. I'd like to give you advice, I just don't know enough about your situation. Frowned upon, but not necessarily against rules/policy? Go for it. You're her direct supervisor? Already playing a dangerous game, don't make it worse. Boss's daughter? Fucking SEND IT! All advice above is on the condition that said girl is of legal age. As far as Sochan goes...I was being a bit facetious with the tanking comment. But I do believe that when this team is in the Ready To Win Now phase, that he'll be starting. So maybe you just need to find your own Ready to Win Now phase to get the girl. Edited March 13, 2025Mar 13 by TheBryMan81

March 13, 2025Mar 13 We're just going to take it harder in the pooper Spurs' De'Aaron Fox to undergo season ending surgery on pinky finger From the Athletic Spoiler San Antonio Spurs guard De’Aaron Fox will undergo season-ending surgery Tuesday for damage to a tendon in his left pinkie, league sources confirmed Thursday. Fox, 27, had been playing with a dislocated pinkie finger on his left shooting hand all season. The Spurs decided to have Fox undergo the surgery now, a league source tells The Athletic, because of the significant recovery time needed after the procedure. Rather than wait until after the season and push Fox’s rehab well into the summer, the decision was made to do it now and ensure Fox is ready for the start of next season. Advertisement Fox told The Athletic last week that he had been playing through the injury to give San Antonio a chance at the Play-In Tournament. But with the Spurs out of the postseason picture — San Antonio sits at 12th in the Western Conference standings — Fox accepted the reality of concluding his season to speed up an offseason of recovery to hopefully ramp up play for next season. “Oh, obviously, for me and Brian (general manager Brian Wright), we’ve talked about the surgery thing,” Fox said. “At some point, I’m going to have to get it, but we’ll see where we are before that comes.” This story will be updated.
