Is there a cool down expected after the next week? Please? I would settle for unseasonably warm, but shy of nonstop record-breaking heat.

No earlier than a week from today it would appear. Current forecast has this high pressure ridge finally getting pushed out by a front late next week. Temps should drop 10-15 degrees (and bring rain chances up from zero).

Not much to look forward until then. This coming Monday and Tuesday look especially warm and muggy.

This morning is gross as shit.

More of the same in Houston, and this weekend only looks 3-4 degrees cooler at best.

85 degrees with 70% humidity in late November. Set a new high yesterday and probably will do so again today.

Other than the two nice days we had a couple of weeks ago, every day in November has been a new record high.

We had one chilly night.  My wife lit a fire in the fireplace.  It was nice.  You know, lay down on the bearskin rug, pop open a bottle of Riunite....the good stuff.

Would be nice if we had one or two more of those nights this year.

I normally keep my AC set around 75/76 and stay pretty comfortable.  All this week I've had it running at 72 to try and knock out some of the humidity and still everything in my house feels damp as shit.  Give me August 100 degrees with 20% humidity over this crap any day.

Finally on track to get a much-needed reprieve from temps in the 80's this weekend. It has been 11 straight days of highs and lows roughly 15 above average.

At least it's looking like the upcoming stretch from TUE-SAT will actually feel like it should. I absolutely hate when it's unseasonably warm during the holidays. I don't want to be sweating when I head outside after Thanksgiving dinner or be swatting mosquitoes away in the deer blind.
