Charlie Kirk Assassinated [Suspect in custody according to FBI

I’m hoping he gets RFK Jr. or one of the other quackadoodles in charge of public health and welfare as his doctor or surgeon. I hope every single one of them directly experiences their health service before a mass epidemic occurs. Maybe then we’ll care enough to hire professionals to lead public programs.

Watching this team feels like groundhog day. Get a runner on, maybe get him to 2nd, maybe even get a couple on. Next batters do jack shit

The better comparison would be to all of the western European democracies that were at one time ruled by authoritarians.

In a semi-sane, slightly less dumb version of this timeline, the people of Charlie Kirk's ilk who, each day, grab the tine shafts of their microphones and spew vile, divisive crap out into the ether, might take a moment of self-reflection and consider that, while they certainly have the constitutional right to say, with a few noted exceptions, anything they want, perhaps it would be better to be a bit more careful with their words, which, if said in public not so long ago (instead of on a podcast), might have resulted in a swift ass-kicking. Because that vile, divisive crap help escalate the problem that ultimately resulted in his untimely demise, which is something most of us think is worth preventing and have been saying so for a long time. But in our actual timeline, said ilk will double down on the same brand of disgusting, divisive crap in faux tribute to poor Charlie and his young family, all the while happily gobbling up his subscribers and advertisers. It's going to be a vicious cycle of play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Hearing the 2nd POI has now been released? Maybe someone can corroborate that. -
It’s a nice sentiment, but ask people in Russia, China, Brazil, Iran, Lebanon, North Korea and a fuck ton of other countries if the pendulum always swings back towards progress.

If the Trump assassins are anything to go by, it is probably some nutjob conspiracy theorist from their side who lost his marbles and started seeing his former heroes as actually in on it or something.

We scour people’s social media when they apply for jobs, and now, if we want to politically investigate them, yet, we shouldn’t be allowed to do the same for gun restrictions? Weird.

Can we talk about Alabama and Michigan and objectivity?
Darth Tron replied to BluTechsan's topic in Football
You definitely touch on the heart of the issue here. Summative vs Predictive, essentially. You are correct that FSU/Bama was settled on the field. FSU earned it. Going forward, it will be interesting to see if they maintain that trajectory. That's where the predictive part comes in. Based on metrics like points per play, yards per play, turnover margin, and others, depending on the weighting, you can get a feel for how things would go in the future. Like I said, it would be interesting to see what would happen if Bama/FSU played again. Did FSU perform above their pay grade that day? Did Bama wake up hungover and underperform? Doesn't matter for now, FSU won fairly. But down the road would the result be the same? That's the fascinating thing about trying to predict the future with math, two weeks into a long season. Hopefully our Horns finish higher than 12th! Addendum: Regarding scratching preseason after week 1, then you get things like Texas Tech winning by 60 points against Arkansas-Pine Bluff week 1. You have to factor in something to mitigate that, and it might as well be some sort of ancestral memory from how those teams did the previous season, at least until we have more data. -
If the murderer was remotely right wing it will be covered up.
