And yes. Keegan should be skewered on the shit he can actually control. He ultimately had 23 decisions (6 picks, 16 pairings, 1 singles order) and has fucked up at least half of them

Texas Football 2025 - We’re Never Losing Again!
perfectchaos007 replied to closetojumping's topic in Football
None of the opponents Texas has beaten this season have a win over an FBS team. If Texas beats Florida on Saturday, that stat still holds true. -
aggy is the only one of those games that gives me pause. We're going to ass rape OU again and Arky doesn't have a prayer of winning in DKR.
-
4-0? Put it on the wall.
-
He knows his audience very well. Going 4-0 is a huge achievement that is the envy of the college football world. Has it ever been done before? Has a dog ever bitten a man? This Ivy-leaguer knows historic when he sees it.
-
Hahaha I made that same comment earlier.
-
So let me get this straight . . . aggy receivers looked fast and got open often, but they could only find the endzone once at home against a bad Auburn team. That sounds about right.
-
Oh I totally agree with you that everyone should be playing under one roof. Rahm cashing checks then showing up four times a year to play decent golf and spinning a Ryder Cup domination creates one confusing legacy for a guy who could be an all timer

Carlos Correa: "I want to apologize to the fans in Houston for falling short. It's not what they're accustomed to. They're used to watching playoff baseball and they look forward to that every single year. It's a beautiful time of the year in Houston. We were not able to accomplish that this year, but we promise our fans in Houston this offseason is going to be one of a lot of hard work. We're all going to get better. Next year will be one to remember."

I’m sure we have the same goals for making sure a certain fidelity to truth accompanies the news, I’m just trying to correct this conclusion that media consolidation is to blame. It’s a little like blaming horse and buggy manufacturer consolidation when the internal combustion auto has become popular. Who cares if there’s only two options for yesterday’s tech? In large part social media is shaping popular consensus, the national agenda, and it’s where most marketing dollars are going, political and otherwise. If you’re worried about Disney pulling Kimmel off the air and that depriving his 1.6 million viewers of his anti-Trump views, you’re missing Theo Vonn’s 4.6 million YouTube subscribers and many more listeners of his podcast. Also, the reason I’m belaboring this is because it’s probably better than 50% of the reason the Dems lost in 2024. They have been habituated to mainstream media and that’s not where the majority of media consumers are anymore.

This is a fun little game.

FSU will be the only team above us that will fall below us. Indiana & Ole Miss should jump us. Iowa State & TTech should jump us, but won’t. So Texas should drop one spot. Alabama could jump us, but likely won’t. They are the wildcard.
-
Arky is a disaster, OU without Mateer should scare nobody, and A&M looks pedestrian. I like our odds, especially with getting A&M at home.
-
They being the Aggies, yes. Those receivers looked fast and often open. Also, recognizing how the football board operates, I'm not predicting shit. I'm wondering about the general opinion of those two guys. Are they the cream of receivers this season in college football? Always.
-
Fucking Ks, man.

I'm more just talking about professional golf in general. I want to see Rahm and Bryson play The Players and the Tour championship et al. It kind of sucks. I'm not absolving them of the LIV shit - they made their bed and they can lie in it. But now the PGA Tour is starting to hand out blank checks and LIVifying the entire thing money-wise and at a certain point it's like... what are we doing? We can't come together and structure something better out? I'm just thinking* out loud but I don't think the current model is sustainable and it's filled with virtue signaling and holier than thou bullshit on both sides. There was a pod I was listening to that made a funny point about the Euros not taking money or whatever but then it's like - Rahm and Hatton didn't have a problem taking the blood money, did they? Idk. I appreciate the level-headed discussion. This event has been such a shitshow from the social-media and general discourse standpoint. I just want to watch good golf.
-
Wait. Are you doing a bit?
-
Yea, I can't tell how good the Aggies are or anyone else for that matter. I agree about MSU. I'd imagine they're wrung out after today's game, and y'all get them at home. It's a wide open year. I think we were picked to be number one a year earlier because sportswriters are idiots. If Arch has become the monster we've expected, then maybe this will be our year. Congrats on your win, BTW.
-
They scored 16 whopping points today.
-
Can’t speak for the other two but Lee Forbes has been doing the lord’s work for a long time in Texas. Texas AFL-CIO fights a losing battle every session but works their asses off and tries to find small victories where they can.
-
They can't exactly fake the DNA sample they submitted though (from the swab from the victim), nor can they fake the resulting hits in CODIS or the commercial services. CODIS is not something to be fucked with and has pretty strict controls - I've had friends in the genealogy community who do some of the genetic genealogy work that gets mentioned (not this case, but others) who have worked with this stuff. Even in a case where it's a partial match (i.e. a distant relative), the genealogists involved are going to drill down to get to whoever it is so that by the time it hits a courtroom or is closed, they have a match.

It worked out so well for Oklahoma State, that I wish this would be true. But Jerrah doesn't really give a shit about his alma mater. If he did, they wouldn't be where they are. Imagine dying not having seen your alma mater in 60 years, and your own team win one in 30, and that's if he croaks tomorrow. It'll probably be more like 70 and 40. Oof.
