  1. Mike Sacks should serve time for comma abuse.
  2. That's predicated on the assumption he gives a shit, and he doesn't. He's a narcissist. Anyone who isn't in line is worthy of nothing but scorn. He can't process the concept that they might have a point.
  3. I'm an advocate of owning as many amps as possible, but I only own two. I'm struck by the range of tones one of the guitarists in my daughter's band gets with a Fender combo and a Boss DS-1. With the latter in, it's saturated distortion heaven. With it out (and a delay in) it's a liquid slightly fuzzy ethereal goo. Most things in between seem possible, too. I'm sticking with my pair and I'm gonna try to get better on my end.
  4. Market cap should remain constant. Share price should drop accordingly.
  5. I think he's saying we'll score 5. (I kid, I kid.)
  6. yeah. I know it's more punk rock in a sense, but it still doesn't resonate with me.
  7. I meant no insult, and like most people, much of my "taste" is erratic. I mean, I love "MmmBop", for pity's sake. Something about "Spirit In The Sky" strikes me in a similar way that "People Who Died" does, or everything The Doors ever released does. Simplistic, blues-referencing meh. Not my thing. But I shouldn't have said it, that's not the point of this thread. Mea culpa.
  8. Man, I hate that song. All the worst features of classic rock.
  9. So HIV was created by the US government nearly 100 years after it first jumped from chimps to humans in Africa? Good take, Aaron. USN&WR needs to downgrade Cal Berkeley even more.
  10. A good friend of my son's is a middle distance guy for UT. Are we that far behind A&M that we're not an option? Look at indoor, that appears to be the case. Same for outdoor?
  11. I can't quite wrap my head around two amps driving a common speaker, with variable outputs on each. Can one amp drive against the other?
  12. Maybe it depends on the wording, but Hermine made landfall in NE Mexico and wreaked havoc in central Texas. My home in Austin suffered $20K of damage due to rain-caused flooding.
  13. Seems like different colored knobs should be an option, too. White/black/chrome etc.
  14. Brave Aggies at Guadalcanal. Oh wait, there's a 0.5% chance there's an actual Aggie in the photo.
  15. It's kinda funny that the "hired an agent" thing is still an issue when guys are legitimately making $100K's to $1M's of dollars per year. Oh, NCAA, you do you.
  16. I thought he was a patent/IP guy? Have I been on Planet Xenon all this time? (Nobody answer that.)
  17. Dumb question in these weird times: on the off chance Mitchell gets drafted, would he be ineligible for college ball, or would that be agent-related (and why, given NIL)?
  18. I'm pretty sure whatever the cost of excavating an acre-foot of topsoil is, it's 10X that much at the bottom of a lake.
  19. Die Spitz. Primarily drums, but rhythm guitar + vocals on a few songs she writes. Their music is everywhere, easy to find.
  20. You'd think he'd be a little more careful driving, given his history in car accidents.
