  1. Louisville is probably overlooked because they do not really have a path to joining the Big Ten or SEC. The Big Ten is never going to invite them for academic reasons and the SEC is not going to invite them as a second school in the state of Kentucky.
  2. Except those are the schools against expansion. My guess is ESPN wouldn’t mind adding the California schools, but it sounds like FSU and Clemson are going to say no to everything until they get out.
  3. Lol. I thought it was Miami. Although now I see the SEC.
  4. I’m pretty sure they did it to sell commercials in New York, LA, and Chicago.
  5. Which is why it does not make a lot of sense. The SEC and ESPN do not gain much from adding FSU and Clemson, so I am not sure why they would help this along. If each school offered the ACC $500 million for their rights back, I'm sure the ACC schools would like to take it, but I am not sure why ESPN would proceed to agree to pay the SEC schools enough to make it worth everyone's while. And my guess is $500 million is more than FSU/Clemson can afford, especially if it takes them years to get a full share in their new conference.
  6. My sources say that the Miami coaching staff will not learn about it until Monday, when they get back from a weekend bender.
  7. It sounds like he’s about to microwave a week old burrito.
  8. Of course. If you don’t hear enough to do something, you always do it. If we do not know what we’re talking about, imagine how interesting it will be when we explain everything that we were wrong about.
  9. If they don’t care about ever getting any conference money, my guess is they would be admitted immediately if they agree to taking 0 conference pay for eternity. My guess is they eventually want a cut of the money, but are willing to wait for it.
  10. The view is the same if you’re in first place as it is if you’re so far behind everyone that you cannot see them.
  11. This is how I want all articles distilled from now on. I feel like I just watched an action packed movie.
  12. What are you talking about? They are still “dabbling in the NIL game.”
  13. The speculation that what changed Oregon and Washington’s minds was the promise that they will get a full share in the next tv deal makes a lot of sense to me. Joining the Big Ten makes sense if they get a full share eventually, probably no matter how long it takes. This is probably the same calculus for SMU, only more so. They are willing to take nothing for as long as it takes, as long as they eventually get an equal share.
  14. Is now the time to start taking him for granted?
  15. It looks like SMU is willing to play for free.
