  1. What’s an average fast food burger then? Here’s mine: Blue bell sucks, but not as much as Ben and Jerry’s Arby’s hyper processed sandwich meat is for the poors In N Out is only tolerable if you go bunless and their fries are never a good option. Scotch drinkers only like it because it makes them feel affluent Rudy’s breakfast tacos are overrated Torchys is better than taco deli despite using the world’s shittiest tortillas El Pollo regio is the best fast food chain on the planet New York street pizza is way overrated. For that matter, anything a New Yorker says is the best is generally overrated (looking at you shake shack) Maple and motor has the best burger in Dallas and there’s really not a clear #2
  2. My first thought as well
  3. We’re cheap I guess. My wife stays home and does the shopping. For a family of 5, she goes to Aldi every week and Costco every 3 weeks. She typically sticks to Aldi’s organic products. They seem higher quality than comparable products at the Walmarts and Kroger/Tom Thumb/Albertsons of the world and considerably cheaper. I prefer Aldi’s organic milk to pretty much everything outside of Kirkland organic. Meat and produce is split between Costco and Aldi depending on quality and how fast we go through it. Aldi for chicken thighs, roasts, and other cheap cuts and Costco for pretty much all other meat. Also produce is real hit or miss, so it generally depends on what they have and how it looks. We can get our staple veggies at Costco if Aldi’s selection looks like crap. Packaged goods primarily Aldi...mostly cereal for the kids as we don’t eat a lot of that stuff, but also random snacks. Lunch meat, cheese, bread and condiments for kids lunches are primarily from Aldi. Grocery bill is about $100-$150 a week at Aldi and $200-$300 at Costco every 3 weeks depending on what household items we need. On good weeks, we’ll eat at a restaurant 1-2 times. On a bad week, it’s all weekend meals + wasted food. HEB in Dallas would likely change everything.
  4. They can win without gronk. That O/U is still fair given Brady’s age with or without 2018 gronk, right?
  5. Discovered a hidden gem in the Richardson / North Dallas area - Sky Rocket Burger. It’s in an odd location, but easily my favorite burger in the area. Simple, greasy and delicious.
  6. *$55m funded by the taxpayers
  7. That was weird
  8. Finally got my first two wins with the guys I play with tonight after playing once or twice a week since it launched. Feels nice. We generally suck.
  9. That’s what I said. Some folks are afraid of the dark/missing bed times.
  10. I’ll add my vote for maple and motor
  11. Has anyone that has done a rental ever gone the private chef route? If so, any recommendations?
  12. We’re not staying on playa norte. It’s a large group so we rented a house.
  13. Best weekly golf cart rental? Someone recommended prisma last time I went and they seemed solid
  14. double
  15. Carne asada is the way to go at Frankie’s vs their fajitas. They seem to cook it better that way and then you slice yourself to your desired thickness. Frankies is a weird Dallas suburb chain. It’s also known as Amigos (Beltline Richardson) and Casa Mama (many locations as well). They all have the exact same menu and food quality.
  16. Might be a result of shitty trimming, but still worth sharing. I’d buy the wagyu again...it was a top 3 brisket for me.
  17. I have no idea. I thought I read bigger briskets aren’t ideal.
  18. Costco Dallas had the $4.99 / lb wagyu this week. Smallest one I could find was 16lb though. They had a couple 25lb +. That’s way too big, right?
  19. Dude. I will kick your ass in tent setta

    Super Bowl LIII

If the rules were consistently enforced, that would have been roughing the passer. But only Brady gets that treatment
  21. So why do they trust jimbo so much again?
  22. Ironically, that’s the year aggy wins its second title. The same year the final remnants of civilized life flee to a distant planet. Maroon defeats white in the only game played in 14999. Put it on the wall.
  23. NSIAP. Can’t remember if this was in the recruiting thread or here. It’s absolutely delicious to see the chest thumping up front and then the mind boggling spin at the end to cover up their tears. https://www.secrant.com/rant/sec-recruiting/texas-vs-texas-aandm-pissing-match-with-a-little-georgia-thrown-in-for-good-measure/81597889/page-15/ Also, it dawned on me that the tshirt fan shit is the epitome of aggy inferiority complex. Guess I figured it was more a loyalty thing, but in reality aggy knows on average they aren’t better or smarter than the average Texas fan. To inflate their worth, they focus on the tshirt fan contingent. Not because we’re disproportionately loaded with tshirt fans, but deep down they know they weren’t good enough for Texas and will never measure up. It’s an aggy-clever strawman.
