  1. Pillow talk? Is that like locker room talk? That's only allowed for one side apparently.
  2. I have not seen it, but will look. I have read an article or two about the area and it consistently ranks as the most miserable part of Europe.
  3. I forgot to mention Transnistria (Moldova) as well. But Putin's fine, we're told.
  4. So, if Russia follows the same playbook in Estonia they've utilized in Crimea, Ukraine and Georgia then Trump turns a blind eye. Great. And Estonia is one of the NATO allies that actually does spend more than 2% of GDP on defense. Right now.
  5. Excellent. If FoxNews had more stuff like this on the air I'd have to change my opinion of it. Too bad it's more the exception that proves the rule.
  6. It concerns me that people have this notion that one has to pick a side, left or right. Believing that to choose a moderate stance in the middle is a dereliction of duty on the part of the citizen is killing this country. Fewer people in the sane center these days I fear.
  7. God fearing, righteous, prosperity gospel folk just skip over those sections of the Bible falsely translated by pinko commies.
  8. A CEO of a publicly traded company may have a shot. Those types of positions require a certain level of political acuity in dealing with a large number of investors who sometimes want different things from the person at the top. The head of a family company with effectively no shareholders is a completely different type of animal. There are essentially no shareholders, at least not any outside of the family. The CEO of that entity can rule as a tyrant with little danger of being deposed. Should it be a surprise that such an individual, when transitioning to public office, might attempt to apply the same conditions to their new role?
  9. I see what you did here.
  10. They should get rid of all of them. And I've always been a bit spooked by the eery Presidential photos that loom behind an Ambassador's desk or in other official federal locations. Iconoclast the shit out of all of them. They serve the country. Put a damn flag up. Save some money by not having to get something new framed every 4-8 years.
  11. You left out the Chewbacca defense clause.
  12. Doesn't he have to actually serve the public first, before he can do something after? I'm not seeing too much of that out of him.
  13. You kept Texas and Oklahoma separated, which is mandatory for any discussion to continue.
  14. Wait. Are we talking about US policies with respect to other nations of the past, or are we talking about the US itself in the present and near future?
  15. I thought this was the politics board, not the Big 12 officiating thread.
  16. I was hoping someone on the coverage would address this. Having one or two guys hit lights out can be luck of the draw in recruiting talent. Having the entire lineup hit over .300 is confounding. Yeah, their conference is not a Big 5 conference, but their batting abilities don't seem to be settling down too much now that they're going against larger schools. I kept asking, who is their batting coach, and how much does he make?
  17. Seriously, just think about the money that could be made by pumping Trump full of stories of unfair trade practices in the steel industry. Buy American companies and short European ones right before his "executive time" on the toilet the next morning when he fires off an irrational tweet about impending steel tariffs.
  18. And now the administration has pre-existing conditions in its crosshairs. Don't think about switching jobs or insurance companies in the future guys. Keep that nose to the grindstone just where you are now. Know your place. https://gizmodo.com/trump-regime-says-obamacare-shouldnt-protect-people-wit-1826662463 According to the article even 59% of Republicans support protection for people with pre-existing conditions. But I suspect those low level R's aren't donating enough to make their voice heard.
  19. State Department talking head invokes the anniversary of D-Day when talking about strong German relations. https://www.cnn.com/2018/06/05/politics/state-department-heather-nauert-germany-israel/index.html The best people.
  20. Laissez-faire Sorry, really sorry. I could not resist.
  21. "9. Promote the Auto Industry"? Most of the others at least touch on questions of the the environment, even if they are on the wrong side of the argument IMHO. But #9? How is that even remotely related to the charter of the agency?
  22. He's already raised taxes on the blue states for a good portion of the populace. Why not take a dump on them again? Teach them who to vote for!
  23. Jimmy Carter honorably served his country in the military. Trump cried about his bone spurs to avoid doing just that, even though he crows about what a great athlete he was in his youth. Carter in his prime could have knocked Trump to the mat, as could most Presidents. Hell, I'd wager FDR could give Trump some trouble.
  24. States cut funding for education over the years and tuition skyrockets. The US has perhaps the most "free market" healthcare system in the developed western world and yet we have by far the highest healthcare costs based on GDP. I agree that gov't can really waste money. In the private sector they don't call it waste, they call it profit. Regardless of the term, it's money out of peoples' pockets.

    Iran

We'll just "take" their oil, you know, like we can load it up in Humvees as we're leaving.
