  1. Sc looks soooooft
  2. SC defense looks soft, to the surprise of no one that’s ever seen a Lincoln Riley coached team.
  3. This place must’ve moved from downtown recently. I had it once since it was near my office and all I can say is that it was not good.
  4. Well yeah, they wouldn’t denigrate their girlfriends like that.
  5. Not a lot of Houstonians in here huh? I’ll take some rain but could do without the other business.
  6. You know it’s bad when you’re from ETX and Justin Wells quits pumping you up.
  7. Walk-on Gavin Freeman
  8. Upgrading in Oak Forest would probably be our ideal scenario, it just seems impossible to find something I’d actually want to buy and zoned to the schools we’d want that isn’t outrageous. Even a fixer seems so high that I don’t think I could justify it. It’s really just a question of mixing affordability, good schools, commute time, and reality. I guess at least we don’t have Austin prices 😅
  9. I prefer the Columbia UT polos over the Nike ones. I find the size is more predictable and they aren’t as boxy.
  10. I’m at risk here of starting this thread in the wrong place, but I figured this may be as good as any. Looking for some advice on some different areas on the edges of Houston proper… currently own my house in oak forest but with a growing family, I want a bigger house that’s not stupid budget-wise. We like some parts of Jersey village-ish (5-7 min up 290 from us currently) both inside and right outside the beltway. We have some friends about to move clear lake so I looked that up and was astonished to see I could get the same amount of house plus a pool for 200k less or so. I work downtown so basically anything more than 10 min outside the beltway is a no-go, but do any of y’all that are fr clear lake or other fairly close, comparable suburbs have any input? 550k is about max what I’d want fo spend but seeing the same thing (or better) for under 400k is awfully tempting. Just trying to really work a pros and cons list outside of the obvious
  11. Numbies in this context = numbers, as in getting lots of engagement numbers (retweets, replies) on Twitter.
  12. just watched Band of Brothers
  13. I think you answered your own question. I have no problems at all with this he one that I bought on the Walmart sale.
  14. I’m just here to say that I have a strong feeling bottom left could suck the chrome off a trailer hitch.
  15. Holy shit, dude. Respek!
  16. I bought one from Walmart recently while it was on sale and have a hard time believing there would be a better quality black stone option. It’s better made than most propane grills I’ve had/used, especially at that price point. Maybe your Lowe’s or whatever just had a lemon on display, but mine is super sturdy and I have 0 complaints. YMMV I guess but I wouldn’t spend an extra $100 for an upgrade even if that were the case.
  17. While this wasn’t directed solely at me, I’ll say that I’d been looking/waiting to buy one for far too long and this was the best deal I’d seen, especially considering the hard top lid (~$100 on its own otherwise) is included. I don’t think you’ll see a deal that’s appreciably better.
  18. William Walton tackles Sooners by the hundreds! Aye, and he consumes crimson tide with fireballs from his eyes, and bolts of lightning from his arse!
  19. The bottom line is that this thread is almost too stupid to read. I know a few normal aggies (2%ers to be sure) but man does their collective just poison the well for the rest of them.
  20. Prepare for your ~2 year old to all the sudden seem MASSIVE though compared to the baby.
  21. I’m on paternity leave so I have a little time on my hands while my oldest is at daycare and wife/MIL are taking care of the baby. Also have a need to stock my freezer with easy meals once MIL leaves and my leave is up. I can’t validate authenticity since I’ve never been inside an elementary school in SA, but these got high marks from everyone. Newborn was going nuts around dinner time so I forgot to top with extra cheese and onions, but that’s a quick fix for next time.
  22. Thank you for this, I think that’s exactly what I needed to hear. We were both just leaning toward having it snipped at first, but a lactation consultant was pretty adamant that based on my son’s tie, which while not impeding his eating still seems pretty severe, would reconnect and be problematic again later unless we did the tongue exercises/massages and the full cut with the laser.
