  1. Yeah, that's their only real play here. Hammer home the fentanyl in his system and convince the jury Floyd was going to die no matter what. Even if the police handbook says knee to the neck is ok in this case (and I don't know one way or the other if it does), that's going to come off as a Nuremberg defense to jurors.
  2. I haven't seen the interview nor do I plan to. I'm basing it entirely on her actions I've seen so far- if you don't see her isolating him from his friends, family other support groups I don't know what else to tell you. You could have gotten a good deal on the rare guns she forced him to sell when she had him give up hunting though. We get it, you love you some MM. I don't and see her as a highly manipulative person working her angles. One of us is wrong and neither will be convinced otherwise. I'll leave it at that.

    Getting old sucks

51 and I still play 2 on 2 hoops with my 16 year old and his two buddies. It's only half court but I feel it the next day. Full court days are long gone.
  4. Damn Piers, tell us how you really feel. That reminded me of the story I read that when she met PH she asked him what he did and claimed to not know him from Adam. Uh huh. Supposedly, someone else did that with other world famous people and it tends to work on them as they've had their asses kissed so much that this is actually a challenge (yoko ono maybe? I honestly forget).
  5. I'm not a psychiatrist but I have had the not so pleasant experience of marrying into a whole family of cluster B personality disorders. Here's the basic MO: 1) must be center of attention at all times, 2) always plays the victim, it's always someone picking on them, and 3) isolate your narcissistic supply (i.e. partner) from all prior support groups, family, friends and hobbies. Call it jumping to conclusions all you want but every mannerism and action reminds me of my ex in-laws. Now mix that with a bunch of entitled in breds that have had their asses kissed their whole life and we get endless entertainment.
  6. Mid January through February are the worst for me. By March I'm starting to pull through but I do recall a couple of Marches that were tough, depending on how bad the weather is.
  7. I'm in the upper midwest and holy shit, SAD is a real thing. This was the first week of good sunshine and the sun not setting at 4:30 and it's made an incredible difference. I have no idea how people willingly handle this. Just two more winters for me.
  8. I coached youth football with a former wrestler- he's like 5'8 210, solid muscle, black belt BJJ, cauliflower ears, military buzz cut. Nicest guy in the world but everything about him screams don't fuck with me. I sometimes called him a pussy, just for amusement, knowing full well he could literally kill me in under 30 seconds if he was so inclined.
  9. When you're fucking with smaller dudes and they calmly ask each other which one they want, that's about when alarm bells should be going off in your head that something has just gone horribly wrong for you.
  10. Unfortunately, we've played them twice in my lifetime. We will not speak of the first time, but bob stoops can eat a bowl of dicks.
  11. Also anecdotal on my part, but I think the majority of iowa/iowa state fans would cheer for us against the other. It's not a Texas/ou or Mich/osu level of hate but it's there. One ISU fan I know realized that he was being charged something like 65 cents a month for the big 10 network on his cable package. He called and said he would never watch it and please remove it. When the cable company explained what a package was he started just sending in his monthly payment with .65 deducted and a little note. Now that's a commitment level to college football rivalries I would not expect in the Midwest. And if we ever played Iowa you can bet he'd be doing the hook' em.
  12. So a michigan fan would cheer for OSU against us? I know a few Michigan grads and I can assure you your friends are the outliers.
  13. To be fair he went to the noted basketball powerhouse University of San Francisco. I mean, it's kind of like playing at Bama now, everyone is going to get a title just by showing up and putting on that Dons jersey.
  14. True. Even as appealing as it seems to have Richard Pryor playing Bart, I think the role needed to be played mostly straight. Just a kind of "can you believe this shit" look that Cleavon pulled off beautifully. I doubt Pryor plays Bart that way.
  15. Holy shit, John Wayne as the waco kid? I just can't see it.
  16. My parents took me to see this when I was 4. Papa notacat was nothing if not thrifty and I assume a kids ticket was cheaper than a babysitter. The only things I appreciated were the farts around the campfire and mongo knocking out a horse. It wasn't until many years later I watched again and appreciated its true genius.
  17. Just curious, if Michigan and Texas are in your second tiers of public schools, who do you have in the first tier? I admit I'm biased about Texas, and certain rankings do have us in the 10-15 range, but I don't think I've ever seen Michigan ranked as anything other than top 3-5 public.
  18. Doesn't care, he can just play with his own tits.
  19. Dude, I think leslie jones sucks shit through a straw. I was laughing that you felt the need to say I'm not anti-black when talking about someone not being funny. It's like saying I'm not anti-semitic but that goldstein is just not good with money. Anyway, just struck me as funny. No offense intended.
  20. It's ok, you don't have to get all PC, everybody knows black people just aren't that funny. Other than Richard Pryor. And Eddie Murphy. Oh and maybe Chris Rock. Perhaps Dave Chapelle, too. And every single black person's twitter account. But those are the exceptions that prove the rule.
  21. This weekend I watched What Happened to Monday, a dystopian sci-fi movie. It's not Blade Runner or anything, but it kept the interest of me and my 16 year old boy who has the attention span of a gnat.
  22. I'd also like to announce I may not want to hook up with these middle aged divorced moms any longer and am now turning eyes towards hot recent college grads.
  23. The impression I got was of a middle class family leveraged to the hilt to give the appearance of living the good life. Just a hunch on my part, given how douchy dad was (talk about apple not falling far).
  24. So his first commitment was in 2012 to Washington when he was in the 8th grade or so? What kind of an idiot made that offer? Oh, shit.
  25. I had no idea that tokyo rose was straight outta Compton. Now that's a good bit of trivia.
