  1. Oh you have a concern about dangerous political rhetoric? Yahoos saying stupid shit that puts people in danger? Okaaaaaaaaay …. Full. Fucking. Cloak room. https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/celebrities/2025/11/06/dave-portnoy-zohran-mamdani-barstool-new-york-move/87132339007/
  2. I think they can get a high level coordinator and is probably the best move imo.
  3. This. Fans need to start “Sell the Team” chants. Be as unrelenting as Fire Nico. She told Nico to do the trade, you’ll never convince me otherwise. Even if I’m wrong they still need to disappear for me to give a single fuck about this franchise ever again.
  4. That’s exactly how this is supposed to play out. He has a duty to mitigate so will never get the full amount. He can argue that he ruined his own reputation and isn’t worth a whole lot but somebody will/would hire him at some level. He can’t just do nothing and get the full amount, he’s supposed to at least try to find employment. And yeah, this cycle, he’ll get a job somewhere that will likely overpay and he could end up way better off by taking a settlement. If they are truly lowballing him though he can make them litigate but he’d also be in a position of having incentive to not get a good job. The “for cause” thing is so dumb, they’ll never win that, even if there’s something it didn’t come up at the time they fired him, it was purely wins and losses which is not cause or moral turpitude.
  5. I think Adelson told Nico to trade Luka to the Lakers specifically and to get whatever he could. Any other owner would have fired him by now for literally the worst trade in modern sports history. If it's solely to stop the chants, yeah she's gonna need to pay him off very well or find him a cushy landing spot.
  6. I didn't read it as Michigan and USC would be kicked out if they don't agree, but that they would not get a distribution, and that their membership may become an issue in 2036 when the media deal expires. I don't see any way PE tries to kick them out now or in a decade. They are too valuable to the overall product. If speculation is correct that the PE people do promotions to increase the overall value UM and USC might get some freeloading benefits but they also did not take money up front so I don't see PE being too upset. I'm almost certainly missing something here in the details because the articles have not been clear ant PE is not something I know a lot about in detail. Just intuitively though, a onetime payment of $135M per school doesn't seem like a whole lot for such a monumnetal and long term change in structure.
  7. You can bet on individual pitches? Like $4,000, win or lose with one pitch? That's fucking ridiculous.
  8. Realignment really is a bunch of fucking horseshit. How is this even possible?
  9. He's also married to a woman who was raised Muslim, and his mother is Hindu married to a Muslim, yet neither walk around in burkas, but John Rocker says he's gonna make all women in NYC wear burkas. These people have literally lost all sense of common sense and human decency.
  10. I agree, I've been following baseball and softball more closely and get way more excited about because we have legitimate shots at a national title every now and then, but even those sports are being affected. Tech bought themselves a softball pitcher who got them to the finals. SEC is throwing money at baseball players. One of Cody Campbells things is saying that this new model will kill the other sports. College athletics weren't set up to make profits, they were a cost same as the costs of other clubs and teaching in general. Football and to a lesser extent mens basketball becoming a monolith of profitability seems to me to be somewhat accidental. I personally think that football and maybe mens basketball should be removed from university athletic departments and set up as for-profit entities. The rest of the sports should be part of university operating budgets and should have have to be profitable or rely on football profitability for their continued existence. I think it's a justifiable use of general budgets because those sports provide skills for those involved. I think someone said it earlier but I've also interviewed ex-college athletes for work and they are always impressive and stand out in many respects.
  11. It's purpose was obviously to encourage grown ups to come to the table and negotiate a solution that gives the minority party something if the majority party doesn't have a supermajority. Adulthood left the building long ago and had its corpse burned to nonexistence around 2016.
  12. I've seen some Kreischer clips and watched the Cabin series on Netflix while high at a friend's recommendation and find him pretty funny. Also never noticed him being overtly political and didn't know he was close to Rogan. I can see him being a little one note in the long term but I also don't delve deep into stuff so it hasn't affected my view of his comedy.
  13. Way better than recent years. No telling how much better but we will compete and I think there’s a good chance we’ll be in the running for a tourney bid. Too many new players to know for sure at this point. I saw one game before the renovation, I was in high school and didn’t have any real college loyalties. My friend’s dad had tickets and invited me to a game. I enrolled in 2000, the first season with the raised roof. It was packed and rocking most games. Loudest I ever heard was when we beat Missouri in the first game after the plane crash.
  14. Bucky ball sucks. Go Pokes
  15. RFK got his name on the last stadium, feel free to pursue that path.
  16. Fernando Mendoza? Pedo fans gonna call ice
  17. What part of Islamastan is that?
  18. Wouldn’t mind some mamdate with his girl. Sharia me timbers!
  19. I disagree that MAGA is going anywhere. They'll bicker over shit but will always align come election time, at least national elections and swing state elections.
  20. Someone gonna need to point me to the parts of Shakira Law that includes “LGBTQIA+ Protections.”
  21. Hating the Giants and Eagles has made everything worse because they have SB trophies in recent memory. Even fucking Washington had their run last year. Thanks for changing the conversation. Die Jerry Die.
  22. Agreed, crazy that over the years it'll go from 70K to 30K.
  23. Pretty high. Their working on a $1.5 Billion contract payable through 2075.
  24. Doing some extensive renovations to Rice Stadium and the surrounding area. I think Rice is a cool place to still be playing FBS football but man anytime I tune in there looks to be maybe 1000 people in attendance. The price of $120M seems way low for what looks like tearing down an rebuilding an entire side of the stadium and adding all sorts of stuff around the area not to mention there is probably still some 75-year old infrustructure that needs to be completely replaced as part of the work. Surely those dorks did the math correctly. https://www.chron.com/sports/college/article/rice-stadium-renovation-21143934.php
