  1. I could see that. Almost by definition the most valuable player on any good team will be the QB since he touches the ball every play and it logically follows that the best qb in the league will be the league mvp. Especially in today’s game where passing is a bigger part than ever, and now they’re running a lot too. Looking back at the list there are several RBs but none since 2012 (Peterson) and the days of the workhorse RB are over. We see it happening in CFB with the heisman too. The last non qb/rb mvp was LT in’86. Before that place kicker Mark Moseley (before my time but didn’t expect a kicker in the list lol).
  2. Holy strawman, Batman, ftw!
  3. Meh, once you get past the first 10-15 teams in those rankings I’ve never thought it matters that much. They get all the 4 and 5 star athletes who can produce right away and create depth, that’s why they usually win more. After that, the difference between 20 and 50 is a crap shoot. It’s mostly 3 stars some of whom will excel with time and development and some who won’t. Whoever develops them better and hits on those guys out of high school will do better. It’s how OSU has been good for so long (last year excluded) while still behind the bluebloods. We’ve developed a ton of 3 star athletes into really good players but can rarely compete with the depth of the bluebloods and blueblood adjacent teams.
  4. It's not Trump, its the Republican party, including in Congress, and their fealty to Trump, so I'm not sure I see the difference. Democrats are boring and can be annoying sometimes but they have never tried to completely dismantle the federal government nor have they ever stoked a violent insurrection at the U.S. Capitol that got law enforcement officers killed. Blaming "Congress" for letting this happen is just not accurate, its the Republicans in Congress that are letting this happen.
  5. Between saying he's gonna take over Gaza and turn it into Atlantic City and that if he's ever shot at to bomb bomb bomb bomb bomb Iran, somethings definitely getting blowed up over here in the next few years. Just normal shit.
  6. The Gaza Goatfuckers. All the white people who attend can claim it's an homage like redskin.
  7. Oh for fucks sake, you sound like a fucking child who didn't get the right dessert. We're a two party system, which sucks, but that's just how it is and has been for a long time. The democratic party has tens of millions of registered voters. There is no party platform that will click every box for every member. The candidates and administrations make their policy positions known, it's not "you didn't appreciate us enough," again you sound like a fucking child with that bullshit. On this issue, Biden and Harris both laid out their belief (which is the vast majority belief within the party) that Israel is long time ally and partner, while also being clear that Netanyahu is a criminal, is corrupt, and that the Israeli government overstepped in Gaza well after Oct 7. They also stood up for student protesters when red state governors were pepper spraying them and trying to withhold diplomas or expel them from school. They did push back when the protesters said things that were clearly anti-semetic (as opposed to anti-Israel) and when protesters interrupted her rallies. The ego on you to believe that you alone represent the "base" of the party. Anyone who refused to vote for Harris becasue of Gaza can go fuck themselves, yesterday was completely predictable and would never have happened under Harris. FFS, Netanyahu was trump's first state visit to the White House.
  8. No it’s voters like you who demand ideological perfection on every issue that is the problem. I want the party to be further left, by a lot, but I don’t shit on every candidate who isn’t perfectly aligned, I support them without reservation. There is plenty of room for robust debate on the left but support the candidate because we know we’re up against a bunch of people on the other side who don’t give a shit about anything but the R by anyone’s name. Your peanut gallery approach is complete fucking bullshit and a big part of why we keep ending up in this fucking place.
  9. You're just flat out wrong to keep referring to mistakes made, I've said my position on that many times, and I know you'll never be convinced. And let's be clear, it's not just "brown" people that participated, my ire is far more intense for the primarily white college liberals who participated in the "protest" votes because of their own self righteous egos. They're the ones I say didn't give a single shit about the lives of Gazan people, becasue they didn't, it was about drawing attention to themselves. I acknowledge that this one issue is likely not what cost Harris the election, the electorate in this country are beyond saving on dozens of other issues, but liberals accusing Biden and Harris of genocide, white liberals especially, can literally go fuck themselves. What happened today was the most obvious thing ever.
  10. There's that signature hyperbole again. Nobody was telling them to go fuck themselves, except sorta the ones interrupting Harris rallies and accuing her of genocide, those people can definitely go fuck themselves. Biden and Harris both routinely criticized Netanyahu and overreach by Israel. The one thing they couldn't do was cut off all aid to Israel, the fact that the "protest" voters refused to acknowledge that it constitutes political suicide in the US is just astounding. Saying over and over again that it would have gained them votes and not resulted in a Reagan style landslide just shows the idiocy of that refrain. The US voters who sat out because of this issue never cared about Gazan lives, it was obvious as could be that Harris would continue doing the most possible for the region and would treat Netanyahu like criminal he is, while trump would embrace him, like he did today. It was always about their own ego and self rightousness. Gazans will suffer enormously more because of their protest choice. And lol at "victory lap" accusations. Surely no one here would have taken a "Joe Brandon" shot at the adninistration after the election. There is no joy whatsoever in acknowledging the most obvious "told you so" of all fucking time.
  11. Well at least the ideologically pure protest voters got rid of Genocide Joe, amirite? ‘Cause BOTH SIDES!
  12. I’m sure PHX would gladly take that 2029 pick, it’s like a bitcoin bonanza in value.
  13. I want to learn more about sub-Saharan dry humping.
  14. Are ORST and WSU still considered P4 for scheduling purposes? Surely it’s temporary especially once the new PAC starts play.
  15. Only thing that could come close is that there was a long term prognosis on Luka that he may decline quickly and LA was willing to take the risk. Otherwise, there is just zero explanation for unevenness of the return. Add to it that the trade was to a Western Conference rival in the Lakers and it just defies every observation we have about these types of trades that you try and avoid improving direct competitors without some evenness in the trade. Isn't that pretty much what Oakland ownership did to the A's? I never got the sense they seriously tried for a new stadium other than some renderings and being unreasonable with Oakland. They tanked the franchise to the point of 4 figure attendance to justified the move. Also, I don't believe for a second that the Adelsons weren't involved, and I will continue to believe that it was their initiative.
  16. I like the City of Philadelphia including many of their people. I fucking hate the Eagles, their players, and fans. Bunch of assholes.
  17. You missed the "new" program of finding someone already doing the job and calling them a "czar" because important.
  18. Or approximately 1/5 of a Scaramoochi.
  19. So what are we doing now to stop fentanyl production in the US? Oh yeah, we're pretending that it's just foreigners, because our electorate is stupid as fuck.
  20. He folding like a little bitch when confronted by a strong woman. Don't let anyone spin it otherwise. Funny how when this shit happens resident surly magats wait until Fox News tells them how to spin shit, but until then, fucking crickets.
  21. Yeah, this was very clearly ownership and not Nico on his own. I actually expected him to come out the next morning and resign. They must be paying him a shit ton to be the face and I bet he's letting word out behind closed doors that it wasn't his decision to ensure he can still get GM work in the future.
  22. "I spent a month there one night."
  23. Best case scenario would be convincing myself it’s a Major League situation and that the cunt owner is angry af about it, especially if it involved taking down the Lakers along the way. But there is zero chance, we’ll be lucky to make the playoffs, but who cares anymore really.
