  1. She should be sitting on a sofa.
  2. Of course. The bull knows no shame.
  3. This is slightly off target, but I could use recommendations on a good chronograph. I hesitate to buy shit off Amazon because there is so much Chinese crap with fake reviews. I’m hoping to find something USA or European made, but if it has to be made in China, I at least want a reputable brand that designed it. I can afford more than I want to spend, but I’m old enough to be in the buy once, cry once club. Like much of what I buy these days, this will be my last.
  4. This is worth 2 minutes of Futureman’s time.
  5. Some guy produced a likeness of what Abe Lincoln’s mom probably looked like. Not only did the pervert make her better looking than any non-Surly wife of the early 1800’s, he gave her nipple hardons. http://historymysteryman.com/meet-the-parents-of-abraham-lincoln/
  6. Someone on Twitter said she looks like Sam on Lord Of The Rings.
  7. Adds & Drops needed to be experienced at least once in a college kid’s time at UT. Freshman year was the worst, by far. I hardly remember the following years.
  8. I worked for an oil company in the First Federal Savings of Austin building (lower center of pic) in 1982. The owner’s office was a giant postcard of the State Capitol Building. I also worked for a temp agency one Christmas break, and the had me moving furniture and filing cabinets all Friday at the Texas Employment Commission (right above the Capitol Building). The lazy fucks working there put their work away before lunch and didn’t lift a finger the rest of the day. They did their nails, read romance novels, gossiped on the phone, anything but work. That included the managers and supervisors.
  9. Wow, that’s a whole different scenario from where I live. All of my daughters have volunteered at our animal shelter, and they didn’t see very many pit bulls or pit mixes. There must be several reasons why pit bulls are sent to the shelter and remain there, but I can’t think of one. Yes, I’m being facetious.
  10. This may be the best place for this gem I had framed, copyright 1979 (my freshman year). If it was cool enough to frame, I thought it might be worth sharing. Here are some closer looks. NW NE SE SW
  11. You’re right, but there are always other dogs in the shelter. Imagine being a gentle mutt and seeing that pit dog bully getting adopted before you. That would be a huge blow to your self esteem.
  12. I think 90% of the owners either identify as being maligned/misunderstood/rejected, just like their pit bulls, or they want to project an image of badassery. I don’t know what motivates the other 10%. I should ask our future Colorado in-laws.
  13. By Tier 4, do you mean the $1,500 Tradition level? If so, you still qualify for 4 OU tickets (for now, that is).
  14. When did they change the donation levels? I used to be in the $2,000 Silver level, and my sister was in the Gold level ($4,000 or $5,000). Now, She’s down in the new $1,500 Tradition level with me. She wont be able to hold that over on me, and I don’t think the extra benefits of moving up to the $6,000 Legend level will interest her. I’m sure we’ll both have to continue our current donation to keep our seats. She gonna be pissed.
  15. There’s more to the story. Her fiancé is from a fairly well-off family in Colorado, but they have an older rescue pit that they think is just precious. This is in spite of it going Mr. Hyde on her dog for merely sniffing at a chew toy. It took her fiancé and his brother (CFB players, but white lol), to pull the dog off. Her dog is stout, but no match for a pit bull. She knows how we feel about pit bulls, so she’s trying to avoid stirring the pot. Their pit will be dead by the time she starts having kids. Her fiancé’s family has the “not my pit bull” attitude. She’s made it clear to him that their kids will not be around pit bulls, so the fact that they want their next dog to be a bird dog is a saving grace. Regarding the owner of the pit that attacked her and her dog, the gate to their back yard was open, so she kind of believes his story. He wasn’t wearing a wife beater or anything like that when they went to talk to him.
