  2. Sorry to hear it. Hoping they're able to provide you with some clear direction and that he starts feeling better soon. Hang in there.

    Dallas | BBQ

I've been to Blu's a couple of times last fall. Had brisket and pork ribs. Both were good. Had some jalapeno beans, collard greens and mac and cheese that were good also. Not really sure why I haven't been back, just don't really think about it when I'm hungry I guess. I will say they worked on building that place for at least a year, so the dude's construction skills must be lacking since he said he did it himself in the article. I really got to the point where I assumed they ran out of money and weren't going to open
  4. My friend's son opened an Irish pub in one of the little coastal towns 5 or 6 years ago. Was duped by his local partner (according to my friend) , lost his investment and went back home to focus on his art. Maybe he needs to learn a trade.
  5. My son and I went to Auburn @ LSU in 2013. We had a blast, a definite must do if you are fan of college football experiences. We were neutral observers, just there for the experience, and it was great. Attending as visiting fans certainly has the reputation of not being as pleasant. Not sure we'll make this trip as he will have a game Friday night and film / work out on Saturday morning. We stayed at the Hampton Inn downtown BR that a few on here have mentioned. It was fine for the weekend and it is situated on the river and just a couple of blocks from the capitol building. There is an old war ship / museum docked in the river pretty close and a couple of other museums around the capitol complex. The tiger habitat on campus is pretty sweet and the tiger walk or whatever they call it when the team, band and cheerleaders walk down a hill toward the stadium a couple of hours before gametime is pretty neat to watch also. Coffee Call in BR has the best beignets in the area (including New Orleans). As someone else indicated arrive Friday, have Saturday consumed by tailgating and the game and leave Sunday. I'm sure the party bus to/from NO will be fun, but if you stay in BR you will stay busy and be able to get your drink on if desired without having to spend 2 hours on a bus driving back to New Orleans at midnight after an already long day. Wish I was going to be able to make it. Hook 'em!!
  6. Stay hard Rhyner
  7. Anything short of appearing in the Big 12 Championship game should get him fired before Dec 1st. If we do make the B12 championship game and win it to make the CFP we need to resist the urge to sign Herman to an extension until after 2021 with a new QB plays itself out. If we somehow become a plug and play system with a conference championship and compete for CFP spot both years then pay the man his money.
  8. Thus makes me sad, bordering on sports depressed.
  9. Long layover for this game,. will be interesting to see if this is the new norm or just a one season calendar quirk. Haven’t checked the line but I’d imagine LSU is a 6-8 pt favorite at “home”. If Clemson starts slow again it will be church for them against LSU.
  10. I think the Subway brisket sandwich killed the market for their expansion.
  11. Bitches be crazy!!
  12. Had similar experience at an AT&T store this past Friday in Dallas. The guy said he had over 100 in stock.
  13. To me the major benefit(s) to amazon is free/fast shipping and consolidated payment method (don't have to register at a bunch of different websites).
  14. Not business. This includes books (kindle and audible), music, monthly channel subscriptions, as well as everything from vitamins to coffee to clothes/shoes, toys, almost all Christmas / birthdays, etc. We have prime so we don't pay for shipping and as a result if we need something we order it and have it shipped as opposed to consolidating orders. It's probably at least an order every other day and then some significant spikes around the beginning of each month (subscription items) and Christmas / Birthdays. Having said all that, it is a LOT of orders. Here is a picture of our house on a Porch Pirate map... Also, this appears to be our first ever order on Amazon (December 17, 2005)
  15. 767 orders so far this year. Up from 657 last year. Yeah, we may have a problem. The Chinese knockoff stuff is an issue but usually not that difficult to spot.
  16. Bought tickets in the Fall for the Fiesta Bowl as part of a father/son weekend. Very excited for this match up. Hope it's a great game. Expect Clemson will win.
  17. I had a friend who received a live mouse as a white elephant gift. Kind of funny, but pretty shitty thing to do all things considered.
  18. The man is an artist. Hope he is able to find the joy in the craft again.
  19. Once this small matter is cleared up you'll have some actionable advice. For real though, why bother with accrual accounting? Sounds like a low volume operation. Why add unnecessary complexity? If the business is profitable everything can/should be expensed instead of capitalized. And the answer to your question is tree fiddy.
  20. We have punted in something like 17 of our last 22 possessions. It is astonishing how bad we are at moving the ball.
  21. Have I missed that OP is an artist? We need to see some examples of your work please.
  22. Absolutely there are shale (unconventional) plays all over the world. A fair number of foreign companies have invested heavily in US shale plays in order to understand the technology and how it may best apply to their local assets. Depending on the area of the world there are likely easier to extract assets that they may produce before they start to produce local unconventional resources but when the economics are right they will get back to it.
