  1. I have a Roku and had a Tablo. My experience with a Tablo was mixed. It's easy to setup and the app is straightforward. But it had trouble streaming to my Roku - buffering, drops, etc. And it's expensive - you are paying $200 and still need a USB drive. In the end, I returned the Tablo and bought a $30 box off Amazon that connects via HDMI to the TV. The interface is horrible but it's $30.
  2. Loud. Dumb. Explosions. Zombies. Nazis. Zombie Nazis. Running. Gunfire. Went in with those expectations and beer and was happy.
  3. Went in with medium hope and left with less hope. I felt I was watching a well filmed and produced educational film made for middle schoolers.
  4. Some ideas that my kids always enjoy. Some have already been mentioned. Rent bikes and bike along waterfront Go the Wave Organ. It's an interesting art piece in the Marina District neighborhood. If you go, go at around high tide. Also has great views of the bay and the Golden Gate bridge. Go to Chinatown and walk on Stockton St. Stop in the fruit/veggie markets, fish markets, get some snacks. Taking the 30 bus to get there is very interesting. Grant St has the souvenir shops while Stockton St is where people go to shop. Go on a SF CityGuide walking tour. Lots of different topics and they have good guides. Free with a donation. Go to the Farmer's Market on Saturday morning at the Ferry Building. Go around the back to the food stands, get some breakfast/lunch and enjoy a great view of the Bay Bridge while eating Musee Mechanique - cool old arcade games from the 1920's to 90's. Cable Car Museum - a fun stop to see how it all works If your kid needs to blow off steam, there's a nice playground close by the Ferry Building (Sue Bierman Park). There's a fun playground in the Yerba Buena park - https://yerbabuenagardens.com/childrens-playground-like-no-other-in-sf/ Coit Tower is okay - it has a good view but once you are done with that, there's not much else there. Exploratorium - Science based kid museum. Tons of hands on kid activities
  5. Colton is the new Bachelor. Another emotionally immature boring kid. This may be the final straw for my wife. Hopefully.
  6. The response to the question is awesome. It's freeform poetry
  7. It's getting more suspicious/stranger: https://www.kxan.com/news/local/austin/husband-of-missing-woman-searching-for-clues-after-360-disapperance/1390978803
  8. @PenelopeWitherspoon - are the rumors true?
  9. Anyone have a Kia Stinger? Test drove one recently and it was a lot of fun sealed inside a 4 door sedan.
  10. Krystal and her love of investing and her IRA Roth. I'm very tired of the Tia and Colton drama. Watching them stumble through talking about their relationship is like watching every romantic comedy where some miscommunication keeps the leads apart and then they realize they love each other get back together at the very end.

    the meg

When Statham is one of the best actors in the movie, you know the acting is bad.
  12. Krystal has some balls, blowing off Kenny just before the rose ceremony when the guys give out the roses. She has faith in herself.
  13. Chris trying to be a player....and Jordan egging him on.
  14. Code enforcement talk getting personal. All of the normal responses including wasting police officer's time, living in glass houses, sidewalk blockers, etc.
  15. I wonder how many iguanas are needed to take down a full size tegu lizard. Or how many tegus vs one python? These are the shows that need to be made.
  16. Anyone made chili in an Instant Pot? Just got one and thinking about using it instead of the slow cooker.
  17. The way Jordan, Chris and other guy were talking, I thought they were going to jump Colton the moment he got back from the date. Instead they took him aside to talk to him. Maybe they'll beat him up. I loved how the Jordan/Chris/other guy kept saying they were doing it for Tia. Someone has to protect Tia. Someone has to think of Tia. It's not for their own selfish reasons! It's for Tia!!!!
  18. Considering an xmas vacation ski trip. Definitely want less crowded and less lines. Advice above about Crested Butte, Telluride, Aspen, etc is great. The trip has to during xmas vacation due to kids. I've always heard that between Christmas and NYE is the busiest time. Are the days after NYE - like 1/2 to 1/6 - noticeably less crowded?
  19. She could say it's an adult bike or child's bike. She could say it's a red bike. Or a blue bike. That alone would cut down on people getting hopeful and posting about their stolen bikes and getting rejected.
  20. Side stairwell exits are amazing...not always obvious but they will make you happy when you find them. Lambert's is awful. Go anyplace else you can.
  21. Cracked me up how Garrett tried to explain away his social media. There was a lot of explaining and strained looks. Seems like he had to change his tune to keep Becca
  22. I'm not sure if this lady is a genius troll or just doesn't get that posting a tiny bit more information on the bike would prevent the constant "is it my bike posts?"
  23. This should go over well: Austin's Equity Office Proposes Renaming 7 Confederate Streets – And Even The City Itself http://www.kut.org/post/austins-equity-office-proposes-renaming-7-confederate-streets-and-even-city-itself
  24. Weinerschnitzel - never seen anyone there at the Austin location. Been there once. It seemed like the Short Stop of hot dogs (5 hot dogs for $5, etc) A&W - same thing. Never see anyone there. Sells hamburgers, I guess. Why would I go there?
