  1. If I recall, Hamby got lit up at the catch by Cedric Griffin, so I'm not sure that could qualify as a "drop."
  2. That certainly tracks with his campaign for Nobel Peace Prize.
  3. I'm not either, but Jamaal Charles was a pretty significant contributor his true freshman year in Columbus. And who can forget this highlight:
  4. Recovery is the big question, as in, has Baxter recovered sufficiently to be a significant contributor. Same with Clark. If either one can provide some meaningful carries this season, that gives our offense a huge boost. I don't think anyone is expecting anything from the true freshman, at least not on Saturday. Even if Baxter and Clark are both limited on Saturday, I think Wisner is still a quality and experienced back. The bigger question in Columbus is how the offensive line performs for him.
  5. Still, that realm is very small.
  6. How many times did Hitler file for bankruptcy?
  7. That's what you get for shaking hands with Putin.
  8. So four points better than Allred.
  9. I wonder if his first venture into fuckery with the Fed will register at all with the market today.
  10. One thing the Blackshirts did really well: Lose to Texas.
  11. Paxton should respond: “Thou shalt not boil brisket.”
  12. Larry Sanders is the best Sanders.
  13. They have books and everything. It’s really great.
  14. Speaking of assholes, I read this about 10 years ago. I loved John Lennon as a kid, and this book tore up the illusions I built up in my head about one of my childhood heroes. I mean, he could be very kind at times, but often was a huge prick.
  15. The large majority of staunch conservatives whose brains MAGA has broken will see nothing at all wrong with this. Oddly though, one of my Facebook friends who falls into that category posted recently that he's not on board with the potential government equity stake in Intel (and possibly other businesses). He's been defending the stupid policies and crazy shit coming out of that fat orange fuck's mouth since Trump 2.0 took over in January, but this one was just a bridge too far for his principled conservative values.
  16. Eh, regarding the Jeremiah Smith comment, yeah, Bobby turned out to be wrong. But digging up a comment well over a year from a recruiting geek is a lame attempt and chalkboard material.
  17. To be clear, is Bobby saying this about Smith and Wingo right now, after Smith balled out his freshman year? Or is some Buckeye fan site digging this up from over a year ago when those guys were still in high school.
  18. I also didn't know what a heavy drinker he had become. Admittedly I paid less attention to him after the 1990's when he decided to stop making new music. It seems like he really crawled into the bottle during the Elton John tours.
  19. I think we could probably merge all three threads. They may have been intended to provide three discrete discussions -- exercise, weight loss, and longevity. But I think all of those overlap on the broader discuss of physical wellness. I like to hear about folks in my general demographic (50 years) finding different ways to stay physically active and healthy, with both exercise and diet, and in particular how those lifestyles are geared toward extending our life span. And I don't need to lose weight, though my metabolism is nowhere near what it used to be so I do need to be more conscious of the amount and quality of calories I put into my body. For those who are on a weight loss mission, I enjoy reading about and cheering on their progress.
  20. Ah, that makes more sense than Ramona Taylor.
  21. All of my doubts are removed. Jesus Christ, I'm not sure I could've done a better troll job than his last piece.
  22. I think the athletic department should issue Graham Harmon credentials for these press conferences. Can't be any worse than Kurt Bohls and Cedric Golden.
  23. My wife was in Fayetteville a few weeks ago visiting one of her oldest and best friends who's lived there for several years. She's convinced that Fayetteville should be on our short list for retirement, assuming we can ever leave Austin. Not getting all cloak-roomy, but we're both pretty liberal, and when I told her my impression was that while Fayetteville and nearby Bentonville might be purple-ish the Arkansas state government was just as MAGA as Texas if not more. She says that's not the case. In any event, I'd like to visit the area. My step-daughter for the time being has Arkansas high on her list, so maybe we'll head there in the Spring for her first college visit.
  24. Eh, seems nitpicky. I'm not sure I really call myself a Democrat, but I don't have a problem with someone who consistently votes for and donates to Democratic candidates (like I do) calling themselves a Democrat.
