  1. He appears to have made some sound hires. If this year's team withstands the pain of the purge and he can do well in the portal and recruiting for next year they could build something. Of course if that happens he is likely on to the next bigger thing. Also that blueprint if successful will be the death knell of whatever semblance remains of the "amateur" collegiate athlete.
  2. The thing is half the people who will end up pulling the lever for the eventual nominee are not GQP or GOP. They are going to reflexively vote for the nominee regardless of who it is. None of them are even remotely paying attention to any of this. If they did primaries would look a lot different A bunch probably won’t even turn out next November as long as there is no recession and gas/food prices aren’t outrageously high. If so we might be fucked

They’ve apparently been out in force on the west mall yelling slurs at students who I guess they think look “gay” and telling them they are going to hell. Back in my day the student radicals would have been in their faces shouting right back. Probably afraid those nut jobs will shoot them if they do that
  5. Creatine became popular in the 90s when it got out that the Nebraska FB team was using it and making crazy strength gains. Of course they were also taking massive quantities of anabolic steroids, which was actually causing the gains Creatine at high enough doses to make a difference can stress the kidneys (fine as long as you stay hydrated) and causes water retention (bad weight gain) along with any increase in lean mass, and can cause muscle cramping if you are going to spend money on supplements I would spend it on a good recovery supplement and BCAA
  6. Y’all carry comprehensive on paid off older cars?
  7. Return of the Jedi really did the Ewoks dirty IMO
  8. Thanks for the replies esp the recommendation to google the vin. First hit was from the original salvage auction. Looks like all front end damage. Doesn’t look bad from pics but ? maybe axle / frame. I am going to have the frame checked out and ask my insurance agent if it is insurable. Car is a Kia optima. 70k is high mileage for a 2020 but at the price point Toyota or Mazda etc is 8 -10 years old and over 120k miles
  9. Good for Joe but the first thing that came to mind
  10. You should tweet that pic at Conan
  11. That’s about what I would hope to get out of it for my son. It’s about half the price of comparable vehicles with a “clean title“. Carfax actually gives a market value for a “rebuilt title“. Also the comps I saw online labeled as rebuilt title were all 2 to 3000 more than this one and the Carfax market value on their VIN report is 2K higher
  12. Thanks this is very helpful. Did you discover any problems down the road w the CRX?
  13. I’ve only been arrested in one jurisdiction and I was not weighed or measured
  14. I’d feel a lot more confident about him being ready if he had spent his senior year playing teams like SOC and not in the Louisiana large parochial school division
  15. You one of the Duke boys?
  16. Texas treats all processed THC products as if it were hashish oil, which means quantities less than 1 gram can be charged state jail felony possession. I’m not sure how often people actually get a formal charge for gummies or cartridges but that’s how the law is written. I assume at the very least that they use the threat of it to get people to plead out to lesser things probably with big fines, court costs, etc.
  17. This is so fucking stupid. In Texas 1 gummy = felony
  18. Thanks for the replies. Hopefully someone who pulled the trigger will post. I know it's anecdotal but still. My understanding is to get the "rebuilt" title in Texas it has to pass some type of state mandated safety inspection. Car is about half price compared to what I've seen for "clean title" comps online and 2K or more off comps with "rebuilt titles" and is below what many of the 10 yo cars I'm looking at are going for. Those cars have none of the crash deterrent tech, plus you have to deal with aging of parts, high mileage wear and tear etc Will definitely check w insurance but I will only be getting liability for it so hoping it won't be an issue
  19. Anyone have any experience with this? I have an employee that buys cars in online auctions for personal use and to flip. The ones he buys are "rebuilt titles" which my limited research means were in a bad enough wreck for the insurance company to declare total loss but someone has done repairs to make them safe for return to road. He recently got one that I am considering for my son. The Carfax report shows the date of the collision but no info other than right front damage, had to be towed, and no airbag deployed. I have looked it over and driven it, it has lane assist and brake assist, back up camera, etc so many more safety features than the older cars I've looked at on FB marketplace, autotrader etc and at dealers. Drives well and no shimmy at high speeds and only 70K miles for a 2020 vehicle. Questions If you've purchased one or more of these what was your experience? He's selling it for 2K under the carfax "fair market" and I assume the carfax value accounts for the rebuilt title status is that correct? Is it likely that any structural damage remains that the repair shop patched over enough to pass the required certification? Should I and where would I take it for an independent evaluation, and what would that likely cost?
