  1. insurance should never pay a dime for clinical trials. Or at least it should be an option that you must opt-in to a clinical trial policy in advance. OR the insurance company and their policy holders should share in any future profits of a trial.
  2. Gotta laugh at yourself. Trump politics being set aside, this is the party when long term hodlers finally sell. Except with fewer guests.
  3. Hyperbole much? How are insurance companies responsible for million of annual tragedies? Insurance companies don’t force hospitals, doctors, medical device companies, pharmaceutical to charge as much as they do. I’m not going to dox myself more with stating my background but I definitely don’t work or support insurance companies. they’re just part of the system that rations healthcare. america could offer 100% full healthcare with no authorizations required. You and your doc want something for you, you got it. Then your monthly premiums will be exponentially higher than today.
  4. I have to wonder what is the play for Sam and Genevieve from here? With Rachel’s Block a Vote, the new alliance is still effectively a minority even though it’s 3-3. I think they have to convince Sue that Rachel is running away with the show and sitting next to Rachel at the end is just a way to be the best loser. And that if Sue wants to win, she has to make a big move now.
  5. You’re describing a vocal minority of crypto people. And even they are hypocritical about their beliefs.
  6. A simple Dem strategy should just to say that some in the GOP are actually fighting Trump/Hegseth. Make the media go with the story about GOP infighting. The GOP has such slim margins in the house and senate. Stir the gop groups up against each other. but Dems suck at strategy.
  7. Why would DeSantis want the job? His current job ends in two years. He’s a lame duck governor right now and Trump will ensure the headlines stay in DC not Tallahassee. i do agree that DeSantis would be better off appointing himself as Rubio’s replacement. He can then be more independent in DC and appear nightly on TV. Is there a law preventing Ron from appointing himself? Does he meet the senate height requirement while barefoot?
  8. Unless you’re sitting on 100s of bitcoins or using some leverage play, no btc investor is that much wealthier than say 2 weeks ago but 100k was a huge psychological barrier to pass. one big change from previous bubbles is the rise of the institutional investors in btc. If anything the 100k headlines should bring more money into the ETFs and MSTR today, further increasing the btc price. 125 by Xmas isn’t impossible. Maybe next week. But I understand 80 is not off the table too.
  9. If anyone is cheering this guys death, they should most likely also be happy if their bosses at work are murdered for the same reason. If you work at a large employer, your employer is the one indirectly turning down any claim. They assume the financial risk not the ins company. The ins company is only handling the admin work for a fee. Ask your ceo about the percentage of employee claims that are denied? Zero chance that he will want to discuss that or get back to you. They hide behind the insurance companies.
  10. If DeSantis has decided that he wants to be SecDef, Pete is in trouble. Ron is a legit 2028 candidate and some gop senators will want to kiss up to him now, at least quietly. If Dems senators were smart about it, they would be playing games about Pete and the gop. Start making noise that you have an open mind about Pete. Force DeSantis to use more and more political capital. DeSantis doesn’t want to be the second choice after Pete loses the nomination. He wants Pete to drop out now.
  11. can we expel Cain and Baytown from Texas?
  12. Yes and in many ways more dangerous. Hegseth was going to be lost in the pentagon. DeSantis could actually get trumps bidding done.
  13. Lol. When these coins start pumping:
  14. I'm seeing some of my old shit coins making a strong comeback. Vechain (VET) up 260% over the last month. I don’t have lambo money in any of them but I need to figure out how to transfer coins out of these wallets today. not sure what to think of zombie coins coming back to life. I can understand and simultaneously laugh at brand new meme coin pumping and dumping. The originators are making a quick buck. But it’s not as easy to move a coin that went live 2017 if not earlier. Are we back to alt coin season?
  15. With reports of Pete Hegseth being a drunk, this could sink his nomination. Trump actually has a problem with people who drink too much especially to a point where it impacts their job. Perhaps he wouldn’t drop Pete solely for this reason, but Trump will have low patience in fighting for Pete.
  16. here is the text from Hunter's pardon. bolded mine.
  17. late reply but exercise equipment is also incentivized to lie about the calories burned. If one stairclimber said you burned 250 calories in 30 minutes and another showed 200, the average person will prefer the machine that offered them 250. It must be better, right? If your competitor is returning 250, change the algorithm on yours to 275.
  18. so 3-6 against the rule enforcement. Why isn't that enough to move forward with the recommendations? They have to be unanimous when it comes to rules against themselves? They only need a majority to rule over us.
  19. I hate local govts adding more laws and regulations on us but people suck. If they would take the plastic bags home and dispose of them correctly, mayors wouldn't pass laws like this. Trash rant incoming. We can't have nice things without the govt regulating us more. I live near a park in Houston where they recently improved/expanded the size of their playground. Which is fine but the increased number of parents/kids using the park has led to a tremendous amount of trash that they fail to throw away. Why bother walking 25 feet to a trash can to dispose of a dirty diaper when the parking lot is a fine alternative. The place is a low grade landfill somedays.
  20. so in summary the Korean president is unhappy with his party's parliament ouster via an election so the military is going to remove the new parliament. Not good. For those not following South Korea, they're a relatively new democracy. They were under control by an authoritarian military from 1961 - 1987. Only then did the people have a say. Not CR but this is a good reason why a military should not have personal loyalty to a president but rather the constitution. I would argue that having military and their leaders slightly in opposition to the president is a good thing if they at least respect and obey the chain of command.
  21. I'm still surprised almost 4 years later that Trump didn't offer blanket pardons to himself and his family member for unnamed crimes dating back as far as possible. Even if those pardons were later successfully challenged in court, it's not like the pardons would have harmed them. I fully understand that the constitutional scholars are fairly in agreement that a President cannot pardon himself. But it wouldn't be illegal for Trump to attempt it and SCOTUS ruling on such a claim would always buy Trump time.
  22. Interesting how so many of them only become interested in the truth when faced with large financial liability claims in courts. Rudy or Alex Jones' financial fates are one of the best results in the last few years. I'm perversely rooting for Elon to continue going after govt individuals before he officially joins the govt. He has zero protection coverage when he's naming people on Twitter today, and arguably he won't even when he is holding some fake office next year.
  23. Would have been great if the mentalist would have predicted that weigman’s days at A&M were quickly coming to a close.
  24. A&M has done a good job of being the QB starter school for others.
  25. Weigman will enter the transfer portal next Monday when it opens. He will want to land somewhere for the spring semester. late reply to some earlier posts but A&M’s overreaction to losing to us is just that an overreaction. They went 8-4 for a first year coach. Wasn’t Sark practically the reverse of that. 5-7 or 5-8? I understand that our rise in the SEC and nationally is painful for them but that’s how it is sometimes.
