  1. And, he's a USDA Grade A douchebag who is a horrible fit in Austin.
  2. It's quite literally one of the greatest pop vocal performances I've ever heard. I'd put it up there with kd lang at the Olympics, among others. Just astonishing.
  3. We currently own 4 of them.
  4. How can Alec Baldwin need money? Was the settlement that big?
  5. Knowing our luck we'll be one of those 12 seeds that takes out a 5, and then we catch a 13.
  6. Oh wait, so it's a way to bend an unfretted string? Damn clever.
  7. I don't play with capos, my ear can't handle the disconnect between chord shape and pitch. If I pluck behind the nut it certainly doesn't sound good. But, just stretching the string behind the nut does change the tension and drives it sharp. Why do it there, though?
  8. OK, @Al_4_ISU tipped me off to this live performance but my question is more appropriate here. What is Isbell doing towards the end of his solo? Solo starts ~ 3:00, and at one point he drops down below his capo and bends a string. Is he trying to pull it into tune or is it possible that string isn't actually capo'ed? Some kind of partial capo?

  10. Looks like Mark Sears passed Tre on total points last night (585 to 578). They each have one game left. However, Tre is still listed as the SEC's leading scorer (20.6 ppg to 19.5 ppg) because he's played 2 fewer games due to his early season hip injury. I assume the "scoring title" follows ppg. That seems like a pretty big margin to make up in one game -- by my rough calculation, Sears would need at least 33 points more than Tre on Saturday.
  11. I know you're trying to be funny, but he fixes any and all vehicles, and this thing is under warranty for years, so what?
  12. Well, one of my closest friends is a VW specialty mechanic (did decades at Kenny Hill Automotive but he's moved on). He assured us the Tiguan is legit. To be sure, we haven't had problems, but the recall is still annoying.
  13. Bought my wife a 24 Tiguan last summer. It already has a recall.
  14. The obvious caveat to Helm's "better" agility drills is this: we don't know how he would have done had he not torqued his ankle. You can't just look at raw numbers and say "well it clearly didn't hamper him".
  15. Transgender mice, raw earth materials, mental institution inmates flooding the border, the hits just keep coming.
  16. It's hard for me to believe Jahdae would be the 5th CB taken, given his film + his combine performance.
  17. Uh, did you see his ankle? A 50 yard TD bomb in the Super Bowl says maybe they're trying to exploit his speed anyway.
  18. I don't mind the Firebird too much, although I'd prefer chrome hardware.
  19. Well, it was Mack's efforts that led to DKR being predominately burnt orange on game day.
  20. Oh, Sam is stunned? I'M stunned.
  21. You should watch how you throw that word around. The implication is that the "historic" modifier is speaking to fire conditions in CENTRAL TEXAS. Oh, and fuck you, simp.
