  1. Now name a coach who doesn't have in game idiosyncracies.
  2. I don't give a flying fuck about what Nick Saban would do. He's a pansy in game when things go south. Sark isn't. Every coach has their strengths and weaknesses. "Loyalty" isn't necessarily a weakness, it helps build trust. You people should know better, but apparently I'm overestimating you. It's a giant amalgamation of personalities, tendencies, strategies, tactics, finance, charisma, you name it, but you diptshits zero in on one thing that you don't even know is true and decide "well, that fucked us". Grow up.
  3. You do understand there is some upside to that characteristic, right?
  4. CLOWN! Drink! Ana is killing my liver.
  5. Well, the death toll hasn't been reported as having gone up. I'm going to assume those "missing" are alive.
  6. Finally, some good news. Kerr County has revised the number missing from over 160 down to 3. It's not entirely clear by the reporting how many of those no longer missing are actually alive, but they haven't revised the death toll upward, so I assume most of them were simply not in the area when the floods hit. We'll see.
  7. I don't think Liberty DeVitto has much to bitch about regarding getting fired. He played on every album and original tour to my knowledge. There was a songwriting dispute. Oh, and his daughter is a mildly well known actress:
  8. There is a delay but I can't remember how long it is. Seemed like at least a week, maybe multiple weeks. That said, there is a definite "portal opening" time and if you want UTSA you had better be quick on the trigger finger. I got my daughter in, my son didn't have the option, so he did Tyler, which wasn't as competitive.
  9. I find those videos as compelling as the stupid "reaction" videos when some producer or musician is suddenly blindsided by a Led Zeppelin tune.
  10. There is a wide spectrum of "scoring" music, and one need not stoop to ABBA or Air Supply. For instance, the first time my now-wife and I . . . well, you know . . . it was preceded by a couple of hours of Kelly Willis and John Hiatt. Great tunes AND sexy time. And 4 kids, a mortgage, tuition out the ass and no vacations in the forseeable future. Fuck Kelly Willis and John Hiatt.
  11. Beats drinking box wine and listening to ABBA or Air Supply. Karen could bring it.
  12. Fortunately, nobody was interested in me.
  13. First band I went backstage for, since I knew the opening act. I was a HS junior. Let me just say my naive self was not prepared for what I saw. It was awesome (although a little rough around the edges).
  14. Did you just post your PhD dissertation?
  15. Deaf mutes are so fucking lucky.
  16. I'm sure SCOTUS will rule that, while the law is constitutional in suppressing theater, study groups, etc. it doesn't apply to sporting events.
  17. From WaPo: I'm sure Sark and Miller will just roll over and tell all the attendees at nighttime football and basketball games to clam up at 10 PM pronto. This is fucking nuts.
  18. Yeah, I can't run that through textise. Somebody with a sub, do your thing.
  19. Stay frosty! Head on a swivel! Watch your six!
  20. Has he thought about talking with music profs? My daughter auditioned on marimba and the prof loved her, but she really wanted Psych (and she's almost done now). He was very gracious and said he'd be happy to admit her as a freshman into Butler and then help her transfer to Psych within UT. She ended up just doing CAP at UTSA and got to the same spot, mostly because she didn't want to take too much time with music (irony of ironies given the last couple of years).
  21. You have to be selected for CAP, and then a 3.2 gpa at the school you pick (from the list they allow you to pick from) gets you into most of the College of Liberal Arts. Engineering/business/natural science are longer shots. @mdmost do NOT rule out your daughter's ability to land a CAP spot. My son's grades and scores were a long way from impressive, and yet here we are, about 25 credit hours from a degree in Pscyh from UT-Austin. The essay apparently matters, a lot, along with recommendations.
