  1. Chick-Fil-A “Taco Bowl” in Tucson!!!!! Hook’em!
  2. Aggy would like to put that quote next to the Fish Tale quote from General Patton during WWII. Hook’em!
  3. Mike Leach loved beating aggy more than UT and he’s stated that over the decades, based on their “false persona” of being a military school. Only aggy, and aggy alone, believes in their “Fish Tale” of military supremacy of decades gone by. Coach Leach saw the truth and publicly put them in their place verbally, then a majority of his teams kicked their butt on the field (scoreboard) too! Hook’em!
  4. At least they’ll win the Spring Game to build morale for next year. Yes - it is maroon vs white. Hook’em!
  5. A play sheet as if it was written on a dinner napkin. Hook’em!
  6. In December 2018, the Alamo Bowl had Leach’s WSU Cougars playing Iowa State. My son and I made this sign, knowing we were going to be sitting really close to the WSU sidelines. We were hoping to get Coach Leach’s attention with the sign, but the only reaction we got was from the sideline reporter - Tom Luganbill (sp?). He just shook his head and said basically “Wow”! Hook’em!
  7. I look forward to this game every year. I served with multiple officers from the USMA, but only one, that I knew of, was a football player at the USMA. He was one of my favorite officers while I was a young enlisted guy. Fun and motivated guy, especially during the daily PT regimen. That was over 30 years ago, but still remember him. Go Army, Beat Navy! Sing 2nd Army! Hook’em!
  8. CSB - this will be my 12th Alamo Bowl in a row, since moving to SA. Over 80% of those have been great games, with either high scoring games or great come-back wins (TCU). The only two I remember not being close was Mack’s last vs Oregon and OSU’s blow out of I think CU. Hook’em!
  9. Just heard on “Full Ride” (SXM) that Coach Neuheisel awarded Frank Harris the 2022 Greisman Award. That’s his creation of the G-5 version of the Heisman Trophy. Birds Up! Hook’em!
  10. I know that Seth was “lineage” OU Sucks, but I liked his hire at UNT and he’d done good things there. UNT is in a tough conference for that level and I thought he was doing a good job. Part of his problem, I guess, was the rise of the UTSA program under Traylor. I would hope that Sark grabs Littrell and puts him on the staff in at least an advisory role, because OU sucks will be his landing ground. IMO - I like SL. Hook’em!
  11. Anyone know of an internet stream for the CUSA Championship game - UTSA hosting UNT? My cable doesn’t have CBSSN. My CBS sports app tells me I don’t have access as well. Hook’em!
  12. Army (USMA) beat UMass today 44-7, on the road, which made them 5-7 on the year. Compare that to the reality of aggy last week. Hook’em!
  13. Texas - 27 Bears - 26 Bijan with 147 total. Hook’em!!!
  14. 3rd down hold (missed call) lead directly to the score, instead of getting off the field! Hook’em!
  15. Playoffs - we’re talking Playoffs! Starts tomorrow night! Best of luck to all involved and may your team’s final destination take them to Jerry World! For those participants in the TAPPS league, you’re hoping to reach the finale at Waco ISD’s stadium. This week my crew was selected to officiate a game of two TAPPS teams, one from North Houston and the other from North SA. These are exciting times as the Victor keeps going, but the latter’s Seniors just might’ve played their last down of organized football. I’m looking forward to the experience, even though there is a good chance of rain, along with cooler temperatures this Friday evening. Nothing like going from “sweating” all year to the next week, possibly wearing long johns and gloves within a weeks time! Best of luck to all involved! It’s been a fast but great year. Keep everything in perspective as you don’t know what lies ahead next week! Hook’em!
  16. Texas - 48 Frogs - 41 Total Passing = 636 Hook’em!
  17. Coach Williams has a good thing going. They were 5-4 and 4-4 in District. They needed to beat AH for a “chance” at the playoffs, but their last matchup didn’t bode well going in. Sam’s kids were great throughout the game and after my early accident, they were always asking/checking on me. Hook’em!
  18. Regular season is in the books for me and just waiting to hear playoff assignments. This season went by fast! Everyone involved making Texas Friday Nights special, I thank you! My MVPs are the training staffs of all these schools, especially those kids that run the water out to us older referees during time outs and etc! A hearty thank you goes out to all the bands, cheer squads, and etc that help make our games electric! For those fortunate to be able to continue their season, best of luck to all involved. For those Seniors that played their last game this week, hold your head high, as they’ve created memories that will last a lifetime! Hook’em!
  19. I had the Alamo Heights game vs SA Sam Houston tonight. Coach Rittemann has his Team ready for a playoff run. It was over early, but I’ll tell you then SH kids were well coached and disciplined, as all game it was yes sir or no sir! As an Umpire, I took a helmet to the face very early in the game and my nose bled like a faucet! AH’s training staff had me plugged up and bandaged up within short order. Slight delay in the game, but no concussion protocols needed and the game went on. Both teams played hard to the whistle and were very disciplined, especially with a 50+ to 6 final. Hook’em!
  20. Texas - 34 KSU - 24 KSU - 67 plays KSU - 17 yards Hook’em!
  21. I just checked the FOX sports app, then hit watch. It shows the Colts game, with a countdown ticker under 20 min. I don’t know if it’ll say I’m blacked-out when time elapses, but it wouldn’t be the first game I’ve watched on my phone. Go Sam! Surprise everyone and be injury free! Hook’em!
  22. IMO - the punter, with the dropped snap is no longer “defenseless”, which rules out rule: 9-1-4, the NS player definitely hit with his “crown of the helmet”, so rule: 9-1-3 applies there. The NS player had the opportunity to really block the punt and/or tackle the punter, without lowering his head, but the helmet-helmet hit with the crown, I’d have thrown the flag and the NS player would’ve missed the rest of the game. Hook’em!
