  1. This moron parked right up by the entrance to the hotel taking up 5 spots by the door. There was plenty of room in the rest of the parking lot where others parked their trucks and trailers leaving the spots next to the building for single space parked cars/trucks. But not this idoit.
  2. I will be in Sedona this time next week. I cannot wait. Will be my third trip out there in the last 5 years or so.
  3. From my office in NE Texas enjoying my last full week of work before I go on vacation next week to Sedona. Also, my son is getting married this weekend (Sunday) so no conflict with the watching the Horns release some mutinous anger against the Commodores. FIGHT!!!
  4. The first cat pictured was a fully grown feral cat that showed up in my backyard. It took a full month before he would let me pet him. It was another month before he would come in the house. I named him Skittles (mash up of skittish and skedaddle). He never required a litter box as he would go to the door anytime that he needed poop or pee. I would let him outside while I was at work and whenever he wanted to roam. As there are other feral cats in the area he was constantly getting into major fights. He was a very affectionate cat and would sleep at the foot of the bed each night. After about 2-1/2 years he decided that he preferred to be outside all of the time and would just roam the area only coming back to eat. Being that he had a tag other eople in the area new that he was "my" cat. Come to find out some of the other neighbors were putting food outside as well for Skittles and other cats and racoons in the area. Eventually he quit coming back at all. I found that quite difficult at the time because he originally showed up soon after my divorce was final. He basically kept me company. He eventually got into a bad cat fight and the other neighbors took him to the vet to get him patched up as he was well known by many and was looked after. The vet determined that he had feline aids as well. The neighbors called me to let me know and we elected to put him down so that he would not infect others. It was a sad day. The second cat shown is my current cat. He was a stray kitten that showed up in my backyard shortly after Skittles quit showing up. He immediately came up to me and was not afraid at all. I have had him about 3 years now and his name is Scratch. He is also an inside/outside cat but is never outside while I am away. He requires a litter box. He will be outside and will come to the door to be let in to only go use the litter box and then want outside all over again. He is a straight up hunter and is always bringing me gifts (snakes, lizards, mice, etc.). Scratch is a very affectionate cat and is always wanting to be petted or held. He keeps all of his toys in either his food bowl or water bowl. It is funny watching him carry things around in his mouth like a dog does.
  5. This sucks. I have pics of 399 that took of her in a meadow in Yellowstone back in October 2020.
  6. I was around 8 years old and it was the weekend and I was staying up to watch the Late Movie that came on TV on the weekend after the local news. This particular summer night (~1974) they aired The Gargoyles. Scared me to death. To this day, some 50 years later, that is the only horror movie that I have ever seen start to finish.
  7. Head games. Wisner early drop unfortunately set the stage. The holding on the KO return did not help any either. It is between the ears now.
  8. C’mon Horns. @laxtonto has a bunch gifs to use. Don’t want his hard work to go to waste.
  9. A buddy of mine was in the CIA. He had multiple assignments that he could not tell me about. He did, however, say that he was in the polygraph division for about 3 years. He said that most people in that department burn out after about 18 months.
  10. I thought that the gall bladder was a top thing to check with women when they have health issues?
  11. I like college football. I love The University of Texas. Show me a better school. You can’t.
  12. Well, that story about Banks brought the strong feels this morning. Y’all are going to have to excuse me for a minute.
  13. From my office in NE Texas suffering through a heavily laden meeting Friday morning. FIGHT!!!
  14. Had a roommate in college that insisted that walking was a right and driving is a privilege and that pedestrians had the right of way. This was all well and good until one day we were crossing 21st between Moore-Hill and Roberts and he blindly walked into the street to only be hit by a motorcycle.
  15. From my office in NE Texas really struggling with the concept of working today. TEXAS!!!!
  16. Quattro. This reminds me of a story from the mid-80s. A buddy of mine hired some day laborers to dig a trench in his back yard. Being that it was summer I was home from college. I rode with him in the morning to the location where all of the laborers would gather for any potential work that day. We pull up and ask for help to dig a ditch. This one dude steps up and says, “Quattro”. My buddy says “Yes, Quattro grab two of your friends and let’s go”. At the end of the day my buddy hands out the cash for payment. Quattro looks at the money and says, “Quattro”. My buddy says “Yes Quattro, that is it”. Again Quattro says “Quattro”. My buddy, sensing a problem, says “Quattro, you have been paid. What is the deal?”. Again Quattro says “Quattro”. I finally realize what is going on and I tell my buddy, “You dumbass. His name is not Quattro. He wants $4 per hour and you only paid them $3 per hour.” My buddy, “So his name is not Quattro?” I reply “No. Pay these guys another dollar per hour.”
  17. Recommend the Grand Canyon and just hit the overlooks for the visual splendor. Other options is to go to Sedona and then up to Flagstaff and on to Sunset Crater National Monument and do some easy hikes in some volcanic lava flows and around the rim of the crater. There are also multiple Native American ruins to visit in the area too. Will be cold and a snowy in the area. Or, Head south to Tucson and visit the Pima Air Museum, Desert Museum, Old Tucson and/or even drive over to Tombstone and the OK Corral. The weather would be warmer there.
  18. Staying at Arabella
  19. Going to be there at the end of this month and in to early November. Hopefully it will be cool by then. Would also be nice to see some Fall colors in Oak Creek Canyon with fall coming late this year.
  20. Never heard "hundy" but have heard "c-note".
  21. But why? I learned another lazy slang the other day. HOCO. After asking around I found out it means “homecoming”. Some kid had made a sign, placed it in a front yard to ask, I assume, his girlfriend to go to homecoming with him.
  22. Ummm...typos?
  23. I don’t pucker up but I do get around them quickly. A few years ago I got stuck beside one of them because the vehicle in front of me decided that they were ok to cruise along beside the 18-wheeler after catching them on a hill to only loose the advantage going back downhill. There was a car behind me too that thought we were going to get around the truck quickly. The 18-wheeler threw a tread and took out my right front quarter panel, RH light and my hood on my 1-year old pickup.
  24. About to board a flight from Las Vegas to Atlanta after being in Vegas all week for MinExpo. Hope the hurricane does not disrupt my travels back to Texas FIGHT!!!
