  1. It took about 7 hours or so before it hit me. I was miserable for about 10 to 12 hours. Once the fever broke I was perfectly normal. The booster did not bother me at all.
  2. Not sure that you are in the minority but if you have kids it is important to do a walk around because they may leave stuff out too.
  3. It doesn’t matter. If words came out of her mouth then you are responsible regardless to whom they were directed to.
  4. True. But I grew up in a small town and there was a certain level of what was assumed to be acceptable. We were all a bit naive to a certain extent.
  5. 1984 HS grad here. No one mentioning Footloose?
  6. I need to buy these in bulk to hand out at our local Brookshire’s grocery store. They look much more professional than the 3M post-it notes that I leave on the windshield.
  7. That is an impressive collection and nicely displayed. How many HOF autographs are you up to?
  8. I have SVT. I lived with it for a number of years with no treatment as the episodes were very infrequent. Dehydration was sometimes a trigger for it so I tried to stay hydrated. Over time the episodes increased and I took Metoprolol to control it for a few years with no side affects. Eventually the meds did not work as well and I began to have episodes again so I elected to have an ablation. I had the procedure done this past March. Glad I did it despite putting it off because of the concern of having my heart messed with. I was semi-conscious during the procedure. I could feel them changing my heart rate. I also remember developing a horrible itch on my leg that I kept trying to scratch and they ended up restraining my hands. Also recall talking a bit during it as well. Just went to the cardiologist yesterday and they have reduced my visits to once a year instead of twice a year. I am 57 and am very active and have not slowed down at all prior to or after the procedure.
  9. And I was looking for Bert all this time. I see it now.
  10. My cat just found this snek and brought it in the house here in NE Texas. Some kind of non-venomous brown snek.
  11. And the Harlem Globetrotters. Cannot forget the Globetrotters. Must see TV as a youngster.
  12. Wow. Such a fantastic, genuine person. The world needs more Bijans. Atlanta does not realize what they have in him as a player and a person.
  13. To me, it looked like more people were there for the PNG/SOC game than any others.
  14. I know that. I am saying that 8 of the 9 winning schools shared the same sideline/side of the field IN AT&T Stadium.
  15. 8 of the 9 winning teams were all on the North side of the stadium. Only losing team on that side is/was Summer Creek. Thursday, Friday and Saturday games
  16. Gilmer and Belleville was a good game
  17. I need Cliff Notes for hand signs. What was Simmons doing after the award ceremony?
  18. He just flashed the Hookem as he left the field and entered the tunnel.
  19. Rosie has seen better days.
  20. Jack Elam lives!!!
  21. This happened to me the other day. I woke up to prepare to go to work. I went to the bathroom for my morning pee. I had a small burr on one of my fingernails that scratched my scrotum. I thought I was going to bleed out.
  22. My ex-wife loved high-end costume jewelry. She is/was a school teacher and wanted to get into selling the Stella & Dot jewelry as a side gig. This is very similar to selling other stuff at home parties, etc. You have to buy some stock up-front at a heavy discount and then sell that along with taking orders from a catalog. You then build your business from there and "recruit" other sellers so that you can get a percentage of their sales. Ex-wife: I am interested in selling jewelry. Me: Ok. What does it require? Ex-wife: You have to buy stock up front to sell. Me: Why do you want to do this? Is it to make extra money or for you to get more jewelry to wear at a discount? Ex-wife: I think that it would be fun. Me: Ok as long as when you get tired of doing this gig you are not in the red. Ex-wife: (in a huff reply) Why are you saying no? Me: I did not say no. I just want to make sure that you are not upside down when you decide to quit doing this. Ex-wife: (angrily) Fine. Have it your way. I will not do it. Narrator: A couple of years later she does it. Care to take a guess?
