My subscription has gone from $65 to about $100. I compare it to the $2 bills or so I was paying for DIRECTV for years so it still seems good to me.
Going through the gyrations of this app or that streaming service or whatever seems like a huge pita to me.
No he started one game before that against a cupcake. And his first pass (or maybe second or third, but def first drive I believe) was a perfect strike on a slant down the seam that went to the house. Maybe someone can find a video of that
Just sayin. Colt was always accurate and it was obvious from his first drive as a starter.
Agree. I think my takeaway is hitting an open receiver should be easier to fix than zero clue what to do with the ball.
Pretty surprised to have to type that sentence but here we are I guess. Bring on week two and let’s see what we get.
Ok I watched the all passes video and the film guy video. Pretty brutal.
I addition to all the shortcomings we’ve covered thoroughly, it did also seem to me that he at least did a good job of not making poor decisions against a really good pass defense he was playing. Looked to me like the way he played could have ended up with multiple panicked throws that shouldn’t have been made at all for ints. And that didn’t really happen.
No mistake about it, dude has to get better. But that’s at least one positive I saw.
I don’t think you can say with 100% certainty it won’t be fixed. The dude is clearly capable of change.
But it defiantly hasn’t been fixed yet, that’s for sure.
This is exactly the point for debate. In my mind that’s exactly what we were looking for. No one in their right mind expected him to look like senior year Colt McCoy out there. But with the whole world watching (which tends to happen in big college football games) he couldn’t even execute a basic throw. And I think that’s absolutely a takeaway. I hope it changes. But we all saw what we saw.
The other guy seemed to be able to at least do that.
I had this thought too. To me it felt like Sark knew what he had, or rather didn’t have with Arch yesterday, and that impacted the game plan. That said, he’s still not afraid to make his own boneheaded decisions at any time.
I hope you’re right. Based on what I saw yesterday, more than just the qb, overall Texas just isn’t good enough yet. Sure, parts are as good as anyone. But the whole thing isn’t enough yet.
Love to see us get better where we need to. Yesterday wasn’t it though.
No concerns huh? lol ok. Good luck with that.
Personally, I’m concerned with a quarterback who can’t execute basic pass plays with no pressure and open receivers. Until I see different, I know what I saw.
Until I see different, I’m going with the assumption that Arch doesn’t have it. Bummer.
No idea what was up with Sark. I know he can call good game plans because I’ve seen him do it.
