  1. Thank you. I have been ruminating on how to say exactly this, and you did so more succinctly than anything I was coming up with.
  2. You just gave me a great idea. Thanks.
  3. Looks like an air burst to me. I guess you could liken it to a shot gun blast.
  4. This is a valid point, but I would argue that harnessing chemical reactions to propel projectiles is a more far reaching development. Not only propelling balls, bullets, or shells from barrels, but propelling shrapnel from mines, shells, and bombs. Add using explosives to cause pressure differentials to sink ships and submarines, or to bring down bridges and buildings. Gunpowder was the first step in this line of development, so it gets the credit, but it is not alone.
  5. I would add insult to injury by also billing them for the missiles that sank the Moskva, the truck and explosives that damaged the Kerch bridge, and the drones used in the attack on Sevastopol.
  6. I thought about going into history when I first got out of high school, but I just couldn't see any future in it.
  7. From my recliner on a much needed day off... TEXAS!!!
  8. In boot camp one of our DIs told us that you never run away in battle because it makes you an easier target. You present a large silhouette, and you can't shoot back. Light 'em up, Ukraine! Oh, and shooting an enemy combatant out of uniform, in civilian clothes, is also not a war crime.
  9. Grant made it very clear early on that his goal was to destroy the Army of Northern Virginia. Once that was accomplished, he could march his troops into any city he wanted. This is what Ukraine has been doing in Kherson. Starve and grind down the Russian Army until they have no choice but retreat, then kick them in the ass and kill more on the way out. Kherson is the prize, but the Russian Army is the target.
  10. Happy Birthday, Brothers!
  11. I wonder what fossilized landfills will look like in a few million years, or after metamorphosis.
  12. I have two pieces of dinosaur coprolite on my desk, but that one would be a tad more appropriate. Hmmm.
  13. Lube, preparation h, and a large cucumber.
  14. I'm a Marine, no longer in an active status.
  15. Pop! goes the Kerch Bridge!
  16. I once asked my son, who was headed to the bathroom, to take a piss for me, since he was already up.
  17. No butt or poop? I am disappoint.
  18. Hopefully without a side of syphilis.
  19. Pour encourager les autres.
  20. Did no one call the police about the suspicious car following a female jogger?
