  1. I’m going to go out on a ledge and say there’s an unmistakable throughline between the suppression of his speech and what happened here, due mostly to his failure to give a full-throated defense of the Second Amendment.
  2. 3 weeks? Pretty sure we need to find some fire in the next 3 days. That 6 game stretch against the Rangers and mariners would well sink any chances of a post season given how we’ve been playing after the [checks notes] All star break.
  3. He was always underrated second baseman for the Philadelphia Athletics. Was that why he wasn’t able to play baseball anymore? A stroke?
  4. When you stick your neck out there and espouse such an opinion, you have to expect some blowback.
  5. Imagine you’re in Heaven It's easy if you try All Hell below us Above us only sky Imagine white culture is the only way Ah, ah, ah-ah Imagine there's no countries Sending us their poo Nobody to kill or abhor One true religion, too Imagine all white people livin' life in peace Yoo, hoo, oo-oo You may say I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I know some day you'll join us Because we’ve already won Imagine no peasants I wonder if you can Just greed and plunder The brotherhood of whiteman Imagine white people holdin’ all the world Yoo, hoo, oo-oo You may say I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I know some day you'll join us Because we’ve already won
  6. I mean, it’s hard to argue that his fully quaffed, Kruger-esque features were nothing if not impressive
  7. What if there was only like one guy who’s ever seen him and lived to tell the tail?
  8. Facts: 1.) single shot. 2.) Complete bullseye 3.) Elevated position 4.) ~200-300 yard shot. 5.) Was easily able to get away in a mono-ethnic conservative Caucasian college campus. Only Valid Conclusion: 1.) Well trained leftist Trans shooter on antidepressants
  9. He didn’t deserve to die. But I’m sure there were a lot of people in the south who were virulent racists who gave to charities and loved their family that we can all agree were wrong and that their beliefs are not ‘kind’ Thats him. His life is measured by his influence. And his influence was hate.
  10. Yeah. Healthcare is not affordable. But it’s way less affordable bc of the undermining of the law by republicans. A fact that I bring up when my conservative friends shit all over Obama and dems and the ACA with their one liner: ‘How that ‘affordable care’ going for you?’ And the preexisting conditions price is just completely forgotten like it was always that way in the US. Oh how they forget. But alas, it was Obamacare when they tried to kill it. Now it’s the ACA bc they want to mock it. Sorry for the tangent.
  11. There’s no greater way to prove your anti-wokeness than to be dead. A true MAGA hero?
  12. Maybe I shouldn’t try to use big words if I can’t spell them. gauche indeed.
  13. And this is Kirk and MAGA’s and Trump’s total misstep with their all out power grab in addition to their complete dehumanization of their opposition. When the opposition feels totally powerless and hopeless and their leadership is ineffectual, they revert to violence. When Trump can crime with no consequence, masked men round up people and send them to Sudan, and political aligned folks are pardoned, the fatalism and cynicism it takes to murder political opposition can be achieved pretty easily
  14. My thoughts too. Im not trying to be a dick but ‘assassinated’ is for main characters. He was a bit player, support staff, C level political actor. It was a ‘politically motivated killing’ at most. The public is conflating the distance, roof top, rifle and MEANS of the killing blur what makes an assassination and assassination. You have to have stature and influence. He had a podcast.
  15. Don’t get me started about my in-laws, their $, my wife, and the whole thing. But I agree. One of the reasons my wife is dogshit with her $, saving, and keeping a personal budget (at work? She’s run a successful business so WTF?) is that she never did talk about money growing up. But also my in-laws have always used their means as a way to control their kids and family. Not talking about $ was more about control than committing some faux pas / avoiding being gouache. /Rant
  16. Wife…. People who don’t talk about $ are rich or grew up rich.
  17. I can assure you that it wasn’t endearing and no lessons were learned.
  18. Bro. ‘Houston’ is anything east of Sealy, North of Angleton, west of Winnie, and south of Willis. Cleveland’s fate was sealed when i69 was declared

  20. But how does he solve Middle East peace?!?!?!!???!??? Stop dodging the real issues that affect real New Yorkers!!!!!
  21. Daughter: Are grandma and grandpa rich? Wife: We don’t talk about those things. Me: [To daughter] It can be impolite to talk about that stuff but why don’t ask? Wife: [glare] Daughter: They have 2 houses. And one has an elevator. The other has a pool on the inside. I think that means you’re rich. Me: that’s pretty solid logic sweetie. But it’s probably best you don’t worry about money. You’re well taken care of. Wire: [still glaring] Daughter: But we’re not rich. Me: Not when I have to pay for all your activities and stuff. Daughter: oh Dad!!! [Daughter leaves] Wife: You always do this. The conversation should have ended at ‘We don’t talk about things like this’. Me: She was curious and she wasn’t wrong. Wife: she shouldn’t use that word. Me: what word? Wife:!Rich. It has such a bad connotation now and with all this backlash you know. Me: oh yeah? Wife: Yeah it’s a bad word now. Just say wealth or they have money. Rich just isn’t safe anymore. Me: What kind of world is it when rich … I mean people of means don’t even feel safe in their paid off BMW’s and multiple houses? Wife; [Glares] Me: Don’t worry babe. It’s nothing you need to worry about. Wife: Yeah because we don’t have any money. Me: I’m doing my part to keep my family safe.
